This Dr. did a tracheostomy on a patient before it was needed. The patient had throat cancer and when I asked him why he was doing the procedure now he stated "I'm doing it as a service to all the Emergency Room Drs. in Rock Hill so they don't have to deal with it in the middle of the night IF his throat closes up and he can't breathe" That never happened but the patient ended up dying from an infection at the surgical site...a surgery that was never needed.
