Dr. Bowers is intelligent and a hard worker. She has a heart of gold and honestly cares for her patients and is committed to research for better treatment and cures. I've only had good experiences with her.

MOPHA DOCTORS ARE ALL ABOUT THE MONEY NOT THE CARE. BAD CARE WITH BOWERS TO PREOCCUPIED WITH OTHER THINGS. NOT HELPFUL.

I love Dr. Bowers, she is a great Dr. I went through treatment of breast cancer this past year. I've had to wait once in a while for her, but what Dr. isn't busy? The staff has alway been helpful to me. Dr. Bowers is very knowlegable in her field. I would recommend her to anyone who needs an Oncologist.

This office puts the 'fun' in dysfunctional! (NOT) Dr. Bower's nurse "Nan" made digs about Dr. Bowers to my sister. How unprofessional is that? Nan also decided she would take it upon herself to infiltrate her opinions about our family...and file a false 'abuse' report with the county against my sister...who has done nothing but CARE FOR our demented mother (in the very best way). She caused our family great heart-ache, and actually did damage to the family unit. I'm appalled by her actions. The report was fortunately closed, but not before my sister had to deal with the fallout of it. As if she doesn't have enough stress already!! I think that is very sick. I think Dr. Bowers is a knowlegeable doctor, but she needs to make changes to her staff...specifically, her nurse Nan. A doctor's office ( under these circumstances ) should be supporting the family of the ill patient. You don't lead a person with dementia down a road that does not exist, and then file a false report!

Where to begin. I manage my 85 year old mother's care and accompany her on all appointments, where we are usually kept waiting at least a half hour past our appointment time. On one occasion it was 2 1/2 hours past with no apology. My mother has dementia and is very difficult. I accompany her on all appointments because it's the right thing to do. That is why I was shocked to learn one of her nurses filed a report with Adult Protective Services alleging I was abusing my mother. A complete misread of the situation. As an oncology office, don't they understand their role in supporting family members in these situations? There was no abuse. They actually asked my mother questions without me present and believed the answers of a demented person. Do they realize their responsibility in impacting the lives of care givers who are already stressed to the max in these situations? Do they understand what the term "venting" means? Clearly an abuse of power and an abuse of the law!

Notimpressed. Dr.Bowers at the St Francis hospital and the MOPHA contributed to my tumor numbers climbing and not acknowledging it.I went there only two years my numbers were good! And from then on they climbed and she did nothing about it. She didn't perform the tests that I should have been getting.By the time she did anything the cancer had wrapped around my spine. (All because of neglet) I asked her everytime I went in there about my numbers climbing, she didn't think it was essential. I felt the care was not good. Everyone is treated like a number, treated with the same protocol.I'm rating this because I almost died and I am fighting everyday for my life to be with my children, husband and family members. You don't tell your patient that you have a good enough quality of life! What if it was your daughter, son, mother ect..

Barbara Bowers is treating me for metastatic breast cancer. She is positive, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. Her staff reflects her high standards of patient-centric care. I highly recommend her and the other doctors at the clinic.

My Dad was a patient and I am currently under the care of Dr. Bowers. I have always felt comfortable with her and all of her staff at the Cancer Center in Shakopee. I would definately recommend Dr. Bowers to anyone. They have all been nothing but awesome through good times and bad.

One of the top breast cancer physicians available in five states, worth the trip. Office staff are helpful from nurses to receptionist. The new clinic is a breath of fresh air.

I am so unhappy with the patients views thus far. They are absolutely innaccurate. Dr. Bowers is considered one of the leaders in the field of Breast Cancer/oncology. She is an outstanding advocate for her patients and is probably one of the most knowledgeable individuals I know regarding Breast Cancer and overall a very good general oncologist. I am a 10 year Melanoma survivor and my husband is a 9 year Stage 4 hodgekins survivor.....We are here because of Barb Bowers....These surveys are skewed....Dr. Bowers is on our Advisory Board for a leading local community cancer fund and is devoted, considerate and knowledgeable.

Dr. Barbara Bowers, while working at Abbott and with MOHPA probably contributed to my mother dying earlier than needed from ovarian cancer. She did not treat her cancer correctly, often forgot her patients name and other pertinent medical info, recommended the wrong chemo drugs and overall did a horrible job. She often seemed spacey and confused. Kept us waiting for long times, was not knowledgeable about current ovarian cancer or breast cancer treatment and seemed dismissive and uphelpful about side effects and concerns. I would never allow a loved one to be treated by Dr. Bowers again. Other physicians also know to avoid her. Really sad to hear she is still "practicing" medicine.

Appears to be congenial and knowledgable; however, office staff needs to be better organized, and doctor should be available more frequently.
