4/17/12 4 3 5 5 Dr. Chung is amazing! We love him! He is such a genuine, kind and amazing doctor! It is difficult to find such a great doctor nowadays! The whole experience with him was a smooth ride. My tubes were blocked and had mild endometrosis. Dr. Chung did a laproscopy surgery on me and left no no scar and I was out of bed within days. We went straight to IVF after one IUI and got pregnant! Dr. Chung was very attentive throughout the whole procedure, he called to follow up and even return calls on weekends! We will always be grateful to him! Thank you Dr. Chung!

2/24/12 5 5 5 5 I will forever be grateful for everything Dr.Chung has done for us. He's compassionate, patient, and takes the time to explain each process thoroughly. I had a cyst removed from one ovary and I was confident that I was in good hands. A year later after trying a few IUI's we went on to IVF. My experience the entire year was truly great. He always walked me through each process with a positive and genuinely kind attitude. Once we determined that IVF was next he comforted me the entire time making the experience a good one. IVF is not an easy process. It takes lots of mental patience and physical rest. It helps so much to have a doctor be thoughtful and patient. Dr. Chung will be in my prayers always!! Wishing him amazing health and happiness to go on helping other couples. At the end we had a great success with twins. Thank you Dr. Chung for everything!! Forever grateful.  Respond

11/12/11 5 4 5 5 I love Dr. Chung. I've been seeing him for 10 years since I had a myomectomy in which 8 fibroids were removed. He is great about returning calls - even on Saturday mornings and explains everything and makes referrals when necessary. When I was admitted for a non/gynecological surgery he also came by and checked on me with my other doctor. I think he's the best!

12/30/10 5 4 4 4 Dr. Chung is technically outstanding, though his bedside manner is somewhat mechanical and cold. He makes sure to call you by name, which is appreciated, but simply doesn't have the time to really taylor your treatment to your exact needs and issues. If you are not a standard case, don't expect to get unique, attentive care. You will be fed through the IVF assembly line. If the Cornell IVF doctors really wanted to do their job correctly they would probably take on about half as many patients as they currently do, but the current throughput is no doubt very profitable and to their credit does result in a fairly high success rate. The hospital staff (other than billing which is a disaster) are outstanding and the nurses are some of the best I have ever encountered.

12/1/10 5 4 5 5 I love Dr. Chung! He was professional, knowledgable, caring and thorough. His nurses Juliana and Susan were amazing also. He made adjustments to my protocol after the 1st cancelled IVF cycle since I didn't respond well to the meds. We are now pregnant after our 2nd attempt. I found him very personable and helpful.

7/23/10 3 3 3 3 In 2010 I agreed to have an abdominal myomectomy with the understanding that the surgery would stop the abnormal bleeding. I continued to bleed PROFUSELY after the surgery. Dr. Chung was also quick to prescribe Lupron despite my reservations and subsequent refusal to take additional doses. Lupron caused me to bleed non-stop for months. Dr. Chung was not listening. Dr. #2 looked at the MRI report (2009), listened & said there were probably 3 fibroids causing abnormal bleeding. I scheduled the 2nd surgery with Dr. #2 because Dr. Chung insisted that my blood work be closer to normal prior to surgery. I went into surgery again (anemic), Dr. #2 removed 3 fibroids (as indicated on the 2009 MRI) and my monthly cycle returned to normal. Had I not taken swift action to find another Dr., I believe I would have had emergency surgery (ER) or hemorrhaged to death. Dr. Chung has no complaints that are visible to the public, so proceed with caution when it comes to multiple fibroids.  Respond

5/14/10 5 4 5 5 I am really surprised that someone said Dr. Chung did not call to give results about cancer, as that just does not sound like him. I found him helpful, respectful, thorough, and I have a child I thank him for. He also called back quickly whenever I called him. (BTW I had a friend who was the one who referred me to him, and she said he once called her on a Saturday to return a call -- in my opinion he went above and beyond). Anyay, I am sure there is no dr. who is perfect for everyone, but I really liked him and appreciate that he treated me and was able to identify the cause of my miscarriages and I now have a 15 month old son b/c of Dr. Chung's work.

3/26/10 5 4 5 5 I absolutely love Dr. Chung! I was referred to him after TTC for a year. The first procedure he performed was a HSG X-Ray and discovered that my tubes were blocked which is a test that my GYN did not previously perform. I had laproscopic surgery which he did a phenomenal job on. I only had minor aches & pains after the surgery and was on my feet within a few days. He even called me at home to check up on me. I am now in the final processes of receiving IVF treatment due to medical reasons which Dr. Chung has been with me every step of the way. He's very nurturing and speaks to you in a manner that you can understand instead of using medical jargon. He assesses the problem and tries to treat it as fast as possible. I would highly recommend him as a Reproductive Endocrinologist.

2/23/10 3 4 5 5 Love Dr. Chung. After detecting something in my ovary (which had been missed by other specialists during sonograms in a different facility) he called me at night with test results from the operating room, called my regular gynecologist in the morning, and followed through to make sure my subsequent surgery went well. He is a kind and astute physician.  Respond

1/29/10 5 4 5 5 Dr.Chung is a MIRACLE worker !!! After countless procedures at another center I was told to go the donor egg route. With treatment at Cornell I got pregnant the first time and I will be delivering my baby girl this weekend !!! this would not have been possible without him.  Respond

1/21/10 5 5 5 5 I truly can not understand some of the negative comments made about Dr. Chung. He is a very brilliant doctor. He diagnosed me with PCOS and I have been going to him for about 12 years now. He has "NEVER" misguided me or treated me in a unkindly manner. He is the best. He will work with you and he takes his work very serious. He acts on his findings immediatly and I would not see any other doctor for this condition. He helped me when other doctors did not know what was wrong with me. He explains everything so that you will understand what he is doing. I was shuffled around from doctor to doctor until I met Dr. Chung. I have had 3 surgeries with him and he always follows up with me to see how I am doing and to make sure I call for my follow-up appointment. He is the Best. Please do not listen to the negative comments. He cares a lot about his patients. I know because I am one of them.  Respond

12/23/09 5 4 5 5 He is very a knowlegeable physician. On initial visit, he took the time to explain all the options to let us decide what we should do and he helped us with our financial questions. At susequent visits, there were times when he seems really rushed but if you see the center at those times, you can understand why he and the other staff are like that. He speaks very fast but he will slow down if you remind him to. On the times when the center is not as hectic, he answers all our questions fully and is very personable. We are confident that we have the best doctor for us.  Respond

12/21/09 5 3 5 5 Reading the previous comment wrote by the person who had the fallopian tubes checked , from what I remembered, radiology didn't start this test till 1:00 pm. I'm wondering if we are talkign about the same dotor or not though. But the Dr. Chung that I saw was very nice and knowlegeable although he always runs late to the schedule. But I think it's pretty common that doctor's office usually runs late, no matter what kind of doctors you are seeing, unless you are seeing the doctor who has like 5 patients a day to see. Even when I was seeing my primary doctor, I had to wait for like half an hour to an hour. Overall, Dr. Chung is such nice doctor who always accomodate his patients!  Respond

12/1/09 5 3 5 5 We have had a great experience with Dr. Chung, he always makes the effort to meet us halfway when we are in treatment. He has also proven that even when I do not see him through monitoring my cycle, he knows exactly what is going on with me and makes changes where they need to happen. I feel 100% confident with his care, and I have been with him for 1 1/2yrs. He lends the courage and friendliness that is so important when being treated for infertility. I feel fortunate to be in his care.

11/21/09 3 1 1 4 The person who made the previous comments about him treating you like a machine is on target. I went to him for infertility and then after treatment, had medical problems. He NEVER returned my phone calls - even to give me results as to whether or not I had ovarian cancer (he told me I might have it but did not call me to give me the results, even after I called him twice). My impression of him is he does what he has to in order to get you in the door and charge you for services but never follows through with his patients. Also, I had to have a procedure done (which was painful) - he gave me this long talk about how it was important that he do the procedure. My procedure (to examine my fallopian tubes) was scheduled for 12:00. At 1230 he still wasn't there. At 1:00 in walked someone who told me she was doing the exam. She was a doctor but I later found out she was a resident. I never saw Chung that day!  Respond

6/13/09 4 3 1 2 Dr. Chung was very nice at the beginning. However, after he made you become one of his patient, he did not spend any time and had no compassion toward you at all. He treated you like a machine without realizing how much pain and uncertainty you felt going through infitility. I am disppointed with him and chose not to continue my further treatment with him.

1/6/09 1 1 1 1 We had a terrible experience with Dr. Chung. We went to see him for infertility. He made the right diagnosis but made the wrong treatment plan. We were pushed into ART treatments without having properly treated the root problem of our infertility. After much time, energy, money and broken heart, I sought opinions of other doctors in NYC. After my condition was properly treated, we got pregnant right away on our own. Dr. Chung never saw us on time. Every appointment he was at least 30 min if not a whole hour late. He seemed nice enough, but I kept wondering if he was in it just to make more money from us knowing we were ready to pay him to do anything. For anyone who's already struggling with the pain of infertility, please stay away from this doctor.
