:( Click to report rating    12/19/09 2 3 1 Seemed very good and caring in beginning. God complex. Sees patients by Assembly line. Treated behavior he didn't like eg: disagreeing, with punishments of lockdown or refusing to see patient. I truly wish he could see his potential to be the best. His pride gets in the way.

:( Click to report rating *  5/25/09 1 1 1 O'Breasail seemed intent on backing his golf-buddy G.P.'s diagnosis completely discounting the in-depth questioning and diagnosis of another psychiatrist (ALTHOUGH the medication prescribed was as the "younger" psychiatrist was intending to prescribe) The lack of ability to re-address questions rather then -- well, OMG! WHY after 20+ years was it suddenly announced that my health records were unavailable which clearly showed by the prescribing of Lithium beared out the diagnosis of bi-polar in a manic phase. I do believe that there is something odd about a "reputable" psychiatrist moving from Victoria to Nanaimo and not having an office where one cne can make an appointment. The definite lack of willingness to even peruse the testing done by the "younger" psychiatrist struck me as "I know best" rather then being concerned with the proper diagnosis and the best interest of the patient.

:( Click to report rating    3/10/09 1 1 1 Appears caring at first. Assembly line patients. Wrong diagnosis. Even when diagnose is proven wrong he will not admit he may of made a mistake. Pill pusher!!!

:) Click to report rating    3/4/09 5 5 5 One of the best of the many psychiatrists I've seen over the years. A good listener, highly intelligent, willing to let me be an equal partner in my treatment. Respectful of my knowledge of myself.

:( Click to report rating    12/23/08 1 5 1 Iam so glad he is gone. This doctor breached my confidentiality. He also showed little compassion. He blamed me for "acting out" when I had a disassociative eposide because of a trauma disorder in which I look like I was having a seizure.

:) Click to report rating    2/12/07 5 5 I saw this physician for years in Victoria and he literally saved my life! Bright, compassionate, patient- he welcomed input from friends. It was a huge loss to Victoria to lose him.

:( Click to report rating    1/14/07 3 1 Disapointed with lack of assesment, and incorrect re-diagnosis. Doctor should have included family for treatment plan of patient. Unaproachable with attemted input from family.
