6/3/10 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | This doctor had his coat on when he was checking me out. He was in a hurry and had no time for me. His office than once called me and said there was something wrong with some results and to come in. He told me I was fine. Now I am left uneasy. He was also rude and arogant. He once asked me if I was on drugs, but after the experience I had He must be on drugs. It is nice to know others agree | Respond |

4/5/10 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I previously had another Doctor in St. Boniface that used to take his time and wonder around with my diagnosis and never found what was my problem. Since I switched to dr. Askar I got a final diagnose and I'm thankful for the treatment he sent me. He is very knowledgeable. | Respond |

3/18/09 | 1 | 4 | 1 | 1 | I went to Dr Askar because I had abdominal pains. He told me to go home and eat more fibre and come back in 30 days if I still had the problem. He did not examine me or give me any tests. I have since had colon cancer surgery through test performed by another doctor, much more thourough than he. | Respond |

12/10/08 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I have been seeing Doctor Askar for well over a year personally, i also have 3 kids, so we see him alot! I would rather have a doctor that listens to me and gives thought to my opinion than get the five minutes of fame from 98% of the MD's that practice here, they dont know your name and dont care. Never once has he taken a personal call in front of me, or asked about my purse!! (lady i think you might have been in to renew your psych meds!). being a doctor doesnt mean you know everything,, it means your smart enough to figgure it out.. and people!! you need to be more proactive!! know your self, express yourself,, you are not leaves blowing in the wind!! I also wonder how many of these comments are as a result of the falling out between staff no longer there.. cause Dr Askar does not even book appointments,, he is walk in only!! Unless your talking about the brother? LOL either way,, dont listen to these uneducated people (hello,, spelling counts!) A doctor who listens is worth it :) | Respond |

10/31/08 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Dr. Majdi Ramadan Askar is now practicing in Winnipeg,MB Four River Walk-in clinic, this is the second time I have had dealings with man and it shall be the last time. I waited over half an hour in his office while he was chit chatting with staff about where ever he is from about how women are treated there. I got tried and sore from sitting waiting for him I started pacing in the hallway, one of the young girls working there took notice and went to his office a few minutes later he came in. He did not examine me just looked at my ankle and prescribed Naproxen and to come see him again in one week. I do not feel any confidence with this Doctor. | Respond |

12/6/07 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 2 | I came to Dr Askar with severe back pain. Without touching me or examining me, he determined my problem was heartburn and prescribed me NEXIUM! It too a chiropractor to determine that I have osteoarthritis in my back. I'm sure Nexium is not going to heal that!!! I would not recommend this doctor at all. He is VERY hard to understand, very quick however not thorough. Never once asked me any background and didn't once refer to me by name and actually had my first name wrong on the prescription!! | Respond |

6/25/07 | 2 | 1 | 1 | I also question the validity of this Dr's medical license. I'm from the medical feild myself.....and you just have to wonder. I would not recommend anyone seek his care. | Respond

|
5/2/07 | 1 | 1 | 1 | I can only speak for myself....Dr Askar did not show up for my appointment, and his office did not know where he was.....blamed the weather...spent very little time with me when I finally did see him....stopped my anti-depressant, told me I should toughen up....dismissed his colleagues...interrupted me many times, once to chat on the phone. Was more interested in where I got my purse from..."love shopping" he said....maybe that's what he should do for a living | Respond

4/3/07 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I find Dr.Asskar to be a very helpful , well educated, friendly, caring, STILL TAKE TIME FOR HIS PATIENTS kind of Dr.! I take my entire family there! Welcome to Wpg. Dr. Asskar and all the success you derserve. People with bad experiences should consider reevaluating their situation! GOOD DR.! | Respond

3/9/07 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Had a very bad experience with this doctor. I would definetely question his medical expertise in MANY areas. I think the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba should pay more attention to the kind of doctors they let practice within our province. His arrogance and carelessness are definetely not to be admired or tolerated. Too bad no-one cares enough to address his attitude or challenge his medical knowledge | Respond
|
2/5/07 | 1 | 1 | 2 | This doctor spent more time on the phone booking his vacation and visiting with other staff than with his patients. I found him to be rude and not too concerned about my medical problems. I won't be seeing him again. | Respond
|
2/3/07 | 1 | 2 | 1 | This individual is more concerned about personal issues than patient issues. Honestly, he spent more time on the phone discussing monies, housing, and afterwork activities than he did looking after my friend. He didn't even take the time to check her BP which was relevant to her entrance complaint! No, I certainly wouldn't recommend him as a family practitioner! | Respond
|
1/15/07 | 2 | 4 | 4 | I would have to definitely disagree with the rude, uneducated person who said that they wouldn't even take their "dog" to see him. I've seen him a few times now and he's been nothing but knowledgeable and he does know his medcine as I do and always have followed up with internet information on my health concerns and Dr. Askar has been nothing but helpful even when I may have quoted things wrong. Again, I think to the unhappy person who probably did not get the "meds" from him, he probably was only looking out for your best interest. ANYWAY I would definitely bring my cat to see him..(wink,wink)(: | Respond |
