:) Click to report rating    10/6/09 4 3 5 Dr MacDonald is a wonderful doctor, and also a wonderful man. He cares a lot about people in general and will take any amount of time to help you with anything you may need helping with. Although the wait time is crazy and his staff are sometimes rude, or at least come across as so, he's worth it. He himself is a little crazy at times, but he has your interest at heart. I would especially recommend him as a child doctor because children love him and he loves them.

:) Click to report rating    9/17/09 5 2 4 Dr Macdonald was the that was there when my mother gave birth to me, and has been my doctor ever since, overall he has been a great doctor, although lately he has been out more, substituting with residents to help with the load, and if its more then what a resident can handle then you just don't get the service you need, and if you need more then 20-30 min of his time, then hes backed up, so you need to be prepared, because with his rounds and the scheduling and availably he often has a full house of patients waiting to see him and can only take so much time per patient, so personally i have found if its something that the after hours clinic can handle i see them, if its something the resident that may be there i see them, if neither of them can handle it or i feel they cant or shouldn't then i see Doctor MacDonald

:) Click to report rating    9/2/07 5 4 5 Dr. Ian was my doctor years ago. I really liked him but had to change because of his nurse's attitude. She did not make me feel welcome. I always felt I was always bothering. Not your fault, Doctor!

:) Click to report rating    3/13/07 3 5 I have been with Dr. MacDonald for over 30 years. He does have long waits by times but does get to see you. I have had some excellent discussions and he is willing to listen. He does not overprescribe, he has a caring voice and has seen alot in his lengthy career. I will miss him when/if he retires. You cannot replace Dr. Mac.

:) Click to report rating    2/18/07 5 5 An excellent Doctor. Caring, will listen, won't hesitate to send you to a specialist, won't over react to short term problems, does not over-subscribe medicine. To those that have to wait an extra 1/2 hour, he is spending it with me and my problems, as he will do with you.

:) Click to report rating    2/14/07 3 5 Dr. MacDonald has been my doctor for over 30 years. The wait times are long, however I think unavoidable due to hospital rounds and emergencies. He is a very caring doctor and I believe has the patient's best interest at heart. I do not have a problem when my appointment is with an intern. It helps get the patients taken care of more quickly. I am usually advised beforehand when this happens, which I appreciate. Dr. MacDonald's manner with his patients is very professional and kind.

:| Click to report rating    2/12/07 2 2 though overall a good doctor the quality of care seems to be slipping over the years. The wait times in the waiting room are on average over an hour and i am finding latley that the many interns flowing through his office know more about me than he does himself. He has been my doctor since i was born though as mentioned before i am finding the quality of care to be declining the closer he gets to retirment.
