12/06/14 5 5 5 5 Dr Dillon and her staff were very supportive of me through a terrible flu that had put me out of commission for weeks.Never any issues in 7 visits that I had to her office this year. Very respectful and knowledgeable. She does her job very well.  Respond

28/01/14 1 1 1 1 Ripple Dhillon has to be one of the rudest individuals I've ever run into in my years of dealing with physicians. She was our family physician for a very, very short time. Her dismissive attitude certainly hasn't won her any gold star bedside manner awards, and from what I can see here I'm not alone in thinking this. She needs to be more thorough as well, instead of rushing people out the door. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone.  Respond

02/01/14 2 1 1 1 I dropped her after a year. She is cold and treated my children like nuisances. She schedules appointments, but the wait is horrendous, especially with small children. She's always been at least 40 minutes behind. On several occasions, I've walked down to the walk-in a saw doctors immediately. It didn't make sense. Her staff is defensive and rude as well. What was worse, she misdiagnosed something simple: my son was taken to her and obviously has eczema, and she said it was just dry skin and to rub some Vaseline on it. He later went to a real doctor, who prescribed real cream for his real condition.

02/03/12 3 1 1 1 I seriously cannot believe the ppl who have given this woman any sort of good review. I'm also surprised at the ppl who state she gives meds so easily. I have begged her at times for meds and referrals to specialists and got nothing. I am a pretty tough cookie, however when I leave her office I'm either in tears or ready to kill someone because she has done nothing to help me at all. I have some pretty major things going on now and I'm at my wits end. She does not listen to what you have to say, she is rude, she walks out of the office before you are even finished talking to her. I CANNOT BELIEVE SHE IS A LEGITIMATE DOCTOR! I have never in my life met such a cold uncaring woman! Many of my family has her as well, for many years now because our beloved wonderful doctor had to cut her career short. Boy were we spoiled with her, then we get stuck with the exact opposite. She could care less about you and your health. I'm off to find a new doctor! One who cares!  Respond

06/04/11 5 3 5 5 I was very surprised to see the comments left by others. My mother and I have both been seeing Dr. Dhillion for well over 8 years now and I have found her to be highly efficient, very approachable and extremely knowledgeable. Willing to make appointments outside of regular business hours to accommodate our work schedules. She even gave me her personal email address when I moved to Toronto, until I found a new dr, if I had any questions or needed anything. If you are trying to find a dr. that will coddle you like a baby, don’t bother with Dr. Dhillion. If you’re looking for a dr that will listen to the RELEVANT information you’re providing and provide you with quality health care, I encourage you to make an appointment. Just because Dr. Dhillion doesn’t waste time listening to whining doesn’t mean she doesn’t care or is a rude person; she just doesn’t have the time!  Respond

03/03/11 5 1 1 1 God knows how this lady ever became a doctor. She is the rudest person I hae ever met. I never ever complain about anything but this doctor contributed to my moms early death. My mother was only 65. My mom would beg me to find her another doctor as Dhillon treated her worse then a dog would get treated. When I went to an appointment with my mom I witnessed it first hand. I couldnt believe what I heard and saw with my own eyes. I work in the health care field and Dhillon was inquiring who I work for and what my profession was before she would treat my mother. So worried I may know as much as her. At the end of the appointment I told her exactly what I thought and I said we fire her as my mothers doctor. Best thing I did. I sure hope what goes around comes around  Respond

03/10/10 1 1 1 1 I'm a 27 year old male who moved to Oshawa 2 years ago. I find Dr. Dhillon VERY hard to get ahold of(she is off saturday, sunday, monday) and almost impossible to deal with(RUDE). myself and my girlfriend were both going to her. The first day we met she gave us a "Speech" about how "in her country young people should not live together unless they are married." I brushed it off and kept using her since she is close to my house. Once i got a Blood clot in my leg and was rushed to the ER and could not get in to see her for 2 weeks once i did see her there was a 1:30 wait even with my appointment. my last straw was when I needed a refill on blood thinners and she was mad because i went to my old family doctor because once again she was not free to see me for 5 days and i needed the refill right away. she spoke with me about why i went back to him and i told her "i needed the refill ASAP or i would end up dead or in the ER" I called the next week, she had removed me from her list of patients  Respond

15/10/09 1 1 1 1 She is a terrible doctor with a horrible bed-side manner. She never takes my symptoms seriously and pokes fun at my disabilities. Both her and her staff are almost impossible to get a hold of. It often takes me days of calling her office to get someone on the phone.  Respond

02/09/09 2 1 1 1 I worked for Dr. Dhillon for a while, I can tell you that she is a sad excuse for a human being & a doctor. Ultimately, the cold hard dollar is her bottom line. Not once did I EVER see her being nice to ANYONE if it would not somehow benefit her. Aside from being disrespectful to patients, I can also confirm she is this way to her staff. I seriously considered therapy after working for her. She also owns a "medical spa" which she claims to be an anti-aging specialist. A GP doing botox and filler is not what I would call a specialist. Doctors can go on a weekend course to learn injectables, that doesn't mean they are any good at it or SHOULD be doing it. Unless you like the "stuffed like a turkey at X-mas" look, go to an expert for filler & botox. She has zero respect for others time & purposefully triple books herself. So when you are sitting in that waiting room with a 9am appointment, look around and KNOW without a doubt 2 other people have the same appointment time as you.  See Responses

24/06/09 4 3 2 2 I have to admit Ia m disappointed in her. She started as a great Doctor for me and quickly slipped into the realm of unacceptable practises. She dismisses me, never follows up on any tests for myself or family members, is completely unavailable even with phone calls and emails regarding major health issues which then in turn causes me to have to fight to have major issues recognized at following appointments with other Doctors. At what point do I just say enough is enough. I can't even disclose half the drama with her as it would be very obvious it is me, and I can't risk being without someone to write the referrals even if getting an appointment is like pulling teeth, and you fight for 1yr + to get a referral. I think the sad thing is I am battling a fairly serious illness and was actually told I was "taking time from other patients" because I needed to see her. Positively shameful... Not to mention I know for a fact that she would prefer I was not her patient. Rock>ME<Hard Place.  Respond

25/05/09 2 2 3 3 As stated before, she is rude, and arrogant, I made an appointed and waited 2 1/2 hrs last time while several(3-5 not exactly sure)patients were admitted before me. In my eyes she seems to care more about lining her pockets then helping her patients. Squeezing every last patient she can in throughout the day, and not giving to hoots about any of them, and charging ridiculous fees for her signature.  Respond

02/02/09 1 1 1 1 I saw this doctor because she was on-call in the walk-in clinic. She was extremely rude, spoke over me, lectured me about not bringing an antibiotic that I took so long ago! Something that I finished so why would I have it on me?She checked my ears, then wrote something on a piece of paper and left the room.I had to go stop her to ask if that was a prescription,And most importantly she didn't even tell me WHAT WAS WRONG.I told her I was convinced that I had a sinus infection again but couldn't tell if it was an ear infection and she didn't say A THING!This doctor literally did not tell me her diagnoses and walked out of the room.In my opinion lady, if you hate your job so much don't do it, you don't deserve that career to start. This all reminds me why my family doctor is not in Durham. My doctor is amazing and runs out of Centenary Hospital, I will always travel to see her.On an emergency basis I will never go back to that clinic I would NEVER want her seeing my young son.Terrible!  Respond

14/12/08 5 4 5 5 I'm very surprised about the comments on this website! Dr. Dhillon has helped me through a VERY hard year, and has been nothing but supportive. I don't find her wait times long at all - considering my old GP had me wait up to 3 hours. I never feel that I am rushed or an inconvenience.  Respond

08/11/08 5 5 5 5 She has helped me get some very tough times with my medical problems. When disability was denied me she worked to make it happen.I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an honest doctor who wants to truly help.If you are looking for someone to give you some pills to make it better then she is not the doctor for you, which is one of the reasons she is my doctor.  Respond

08/10/08 5 4 5 5 I cant believe the postings for this Doctor. You are certainly missing out on a wonderful person. You complain about the lengthy waits, perhaps you should consider that she spends more than enough time with her patients that need it. She certainly goes out of her way to help her patients. To me it sounds like the people who are complaining are self-fish. When you go to urgent care, its exactly that. She ,or any Doctor , does not have the time to spend answering dozens of questions. THe next person, which could be you next time, will complain about the wait. Remember that when you dont need her extra attention this time, but might need it next. She will be there to help. She is a wonderful peron, great Md and great listener. Those who complain should check their own backyards first.  Respond

11/07/08 2 1 2 3 Have been going to Dr. Dhillon for 10 years. She is never on time. Have had to, many times, wait up to 45 minutes past my appointment. Tests and follow up are not done unless patient insists something is wrong. As long as you can stay upright in her office she acts like you do not have a problem. Unfortunately, any new Dr. coming into Durham will only interview you if you do not already have a Dr.  Respond

01/03/08 2 3 1 1 This Dr. should lose her licence for over-prescribing. A family member of mine loves her because they just make a list of any drugs they want and Dhillon writes the script, no questions asked. It makes me absolutely sick. The member of my family is definately in the wrong but this doctor is so far over the line because she should know better. Shame on her.  Respond

28/02/08 4 3 1 1 My husband & I have both seen Dr. Dhillon in Urgent Care & she was rude, walked out while we were still asking questions. She told my husband to go see his own doctor, rather than help him. I went in suspecting a sinus infection & she told me nothing was wrong. The next day I went to my family doctor, as I knew there was something wrong & I not only had a sinus infection, but my ears were also quite congested. If we ever need to go to Urgent Care again, I too will go somewhere else, if she is the doctor on call.  Respond

26/01/08 2 1 1 1 Dr.Dhillon has been our doctor since the spring of '07. I would not recommend this dr. to anyone! She is rude, does not listen to us and when I told her of a reaction I have to a certain medicine she called me a liar. Unfortunately we have health issues and need a doctor but have neglected our health because visiting this doctor is the most unpleasant experience. She acts superior and does not take the time to listen to her patients. I am looking for a new doctor and would advise anyone who may be considering this doctor to reconsider and keep on looking!  Respond

14/01/08 3 3 1 2 Dr. Dhillon dismisses every concern I have ever had and is the most unsympathetic doctor I have ever seen. I am very healthy and have only seen her maybe 12 times in 10 years but I dread making an appointment with her. She blames everything on "middle age" and does not address any problems I have ever had.  Respond

20/12/07 3 2 1 1 Dr. Dhillon was my Dr. for the longest time, but I had to switch when on 2 occasions in a row, she downplayed my concerns, and made me leave her office crying. Everytime I am in urgent care, and she is working, I go to a different walk in. I find her unprofessional, uncaring, and has quite a superiority complex. My mother was also a patient, and she over-prescribed. I see toher patients have had okay experiences, so maybe Dr. Dhillon just did not like me. In my opinion, that reason owuld make her even more unprofessional.  Respond

03/12/07 5 4 4 4 Dr. Dhillon took my father and I on as patients, regardless of our very extensive health history. I had recently had two heart procedures, and being very young (22), needed a regular Doctor. She listens to me, is very thorough with my checkups, and makes me feel comfortable. She is also on time more so than other doctors - I've waited 3 hours at my old Doctors office. Very good Doctor!  Respond

22/11/07 5 3 5 5 How many doctors do you know that will still do house calls for the terminally ill when requested, or send something special to patients who have had a rough year at the holidays, or accept new patients with multiple medical issues or mental health issues that all the other doctors refuse??? Alot of people are stating that they are "stuck", NO one is stuck, your choice. Patients need to understand that you should be seen every 3 months for your prescriptions, especially if they are for diabetes, heart issues, etc...that is to ensure proper medical efficiency. Patients looking for pain medication also need to be seen...not just call looking for repeats or get angry when refused, all is done for a reason. Dr. D. works long hours in her office and in the Urgent Care and is very caring for her patients.  Respond

23/07/07 4 2 1 1 we were forced to use this dr. as our dr. passed away. what a absolute disapointment, she talks over you, won't let you explain your concerns, dismisses any imput you have, forces patients to return to office every 3 months for repeats on perscriptions.during your appointment she refuses to discuss issues.-refussed to take my husbands blood pressure! just wrote script and left. i'm sure our tax dollars could be spent much more wisely!!! this is a prime example of why the system is in such trouble. do yourself a favour go the the walk in clinic!(hope she's not working)  Respond

06/05/07 3 2 3 Dr.Dhillon has been my doctor for quite a few years, it's interesting to read these comments, as I've found her to blow hot and cold. I'm fairly healthy, and am glad as I don't have to see her often, she's competent to a point, but has belittled my concerns more than once, ie. when I asked for my cholesterol count, she questioned why I wanted it, and when I asked for a hormone level (re. menopause)didn't want to do it, and was sarcastic. One week I had seen her, and had to see her for pap test results, and she'd moved in between and hadn't told me! I showed up for appt. at previous clinic,to find her gone! No apology, in fact more irritation and sarcasm from her! Recently her attitude has improved, not sure if it was my telling her what I thought re. latter incident, or she likes her new nurses and surroundings better (much quieter, less patients). Hard to find new doctor round here..would rate her okay, but not if you're really ill, or need someone to listen (she talks over you).  Respond

01/04/07 5 5 5 Dr. Dhillon is a great Dr. I have been seeing her since Dr. Finch retired. She shows concern and is very good at sending you to a specialist if she feels it is necessary. She looks after our family with the greatest respect. She knows that my Mom who is in new brunswick is very ill and even though she has never seen her she always asks about her. She looks after my mother-in-law and does a wonderful job, she shows compassion towards her and I tink that is good. The secetarey Julie and nurse Isable are just super and do whatever they can to help you. I think they all are a good team and show that they care for every patient that they see every day. A smile helps a lot and I hope that they keep smilling cause it makes you feel better and brightens up the day........Keep up the good work.  Respond

30/03/07 4 5 5 Our family was using Dr. Kwan......he was my family's FM for 42 years. When he was retiring, he recommended her to me. I had an interview.....and upon mutual agreement it was agreed that she would be our family doctor. She was extremely helpful, and quite informative. This lady I feel has very good people skills. She makes me feel comfortable, to which I can be very critical if I feel uncomfortable, to which to date she has not. I also requested that she take on my wife and children, and respected that request, and has adhered to any concerns with any of our family matters. Currently I am dealing with cancer(MF), to which she was aware of when she became my doctor. I must say after dealing with 4 different oncologists(at once), that she surpased them all with her professionlism. thank you Dr. Dhillion for your understanding and professionalism. 11/03/07 2 2 2 I don't normally like to be harsh on people, however in the approx. 12 years I've been going to this doctor, she has always made me feel that any issues or concerns I have had regarding my health are compleatly unfounded (once was in a hospital when I was complaining of abdominal pain and she made me feel compleatly belittled - turned out, thanks to the attention of another doctor, I had to have my appendix removed). I was saddened to find out that someone else I know who is terminally ill needed to see her. This man had recently lost all of his hearing, and as a source of support to communicate effectivly, he brought along a support worker from a Deaf agency. Dr. Dhillon showed no respect to this worker, and actually was annoyed that she was there. Dr. Dhillon can be very friendly at times, but I feel with certian people she can show a great deal of intollerance. With the doctor shortage in Durham, I find myself unable to switch doctors, but found much help with a chiropractor.  Respond
