6/2/12 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Izawa is a God send. He is courteous, knowledgeable, and best of all, skilled. I'm recovering from a radical prostatectomy and am doing very well. He did such a good job that I'm recovering much faster than expected. Not only that: Any time I had a question or concern, I called the hospital and the staff was more than willing to help. Furthermore, Dr. Izawa was on rounds when I called and he took the call himself. Very reassuring. I highly recommend him to anyone who does his/her homework and knows that surgery is the best option. I am awaiting the pathology report, but am confident that no matter what the outcome, he was the best choice. Be sure to ask all questions you have before making your decision, but I cannot stress enough the excellence in both the doctors and the staff at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. | Respond |

4/26/11 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 2 | Didnt inform me very well . from day 1 after my surgery my stomach was swollen & in pain . Told it was gas than it was constipation from the pain pills this will go away . Also told would be 6 to 8 weeks to recover . 12 weeks later Im still bloated & suffering & worried .,and to top it all off I have now been refused to be treated anymore by Dr Izawa because I bothered him & his saff to much asking to many questions . Visited me twice in hospital , claimed surgery went very well and didnt follow up for 4 or 5 weeks later . Well 12 weeks later and am waiting on an MRI to see what went wrong . 9/1/10 | 5 | 3 | 1 | 4 | He is very kind and very knowledgeable. Although I do not feel he diagnosed me correctly. He walked in the room and told me right away I had a chronic problem, and there is not much information about it, and the only way to treat it is with antidepressants. Then he examined me and I asked him about something I thought wasn't right. He said it was scar tissue. I looked up more information about this scar tissue and it turns out it is a disease that could be the cause of all my pain. I don't understand why he couldn't have told me more about this condition instead of taking the last few minutes talking about how I should experiment with the type of underwear I use. | Respond |

I would not recommend him to anybody as he's too self-confident and doesn not inform patients about alternative treatments. My conclusion is that he does not care about patients as much as he cares about his research and financial benefits of performing unnecessary surgeries. | See Responses |

I had a large tumor in my kidney and he visited every day after the surgery and listened, explained and answered anything questions I had, patiently. Listening to him, I knew he was very thorough & this gave me every confidence in his abilities. He is very approachable as I never felt I was asking too many questions. His answers were always clear & concise. Excellent bed-side manner. What a grest human being as well as an awesome doctor! I would highly recommend anyone to see him!
