Finally a doctor that did more than just prescribe pain killers for my pain. There are so many people with chronic pain who are only looking for a doctor to give them their drug fix and don't really want to fix the problem. Dr Brzusek gave me exercises and ideas to deal with my pain and referred me for physical therapy which did wonders for my back. It's nice to deal with a doctor who cares about more than trying to throw lots of narcotic drugs at me and actually wants to help me get better. Excellent doctor!

I spent a year going to this Dr. for help. He would not do tests, told me I need to work through the pain and loose weight. I finally found a good rehab Dr. who did MRI and said it was 3 budging discs. I now have the help I need, but he made that year pure hell, and did not care about all the pain I had. He talked into a recorder everything I said, but my file said the complete opposite of anything I told him. What a horrible experience!

No examination. Only did xrays. Came in and said I had osteoarthritis with bone spurs ( I was only 49) in spine and said I did not have heniated discs although the MRI that my PCP ordered showed I did. He said he couldn't do anything for me and that I just need to do yoga, and if I don't get better it will be my own fault. He said that old people who are hunched over make themselves that way. I couldn't believe his attitude. He was mean, cold and rude even though I was being friendly and respectful. I think my back is bad because of spousal abuse (ex) and when he treated me like that I felt that sense of emotional abuse all come back and so I have not gone to have my back looked at since and that was a year and a half ago. I just live with pain.

Injured L&I workers be very cautious of this doctor, he is for the state as he is a state IME doctor. I found he to be very arrogant and impolite. He wasn't sensitive of my needs and told me that I had no pain and it was in my head even thought two surgeons didn't think so. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Especially L&I claims.

After over 2 years of back problems, this is the first doctor to actually sit down and go over all tests and chart notes and figure out what was actually wrong with my back. I'm not cured but am much better and understand my problem. I would highly recommend Dr Brzusek to anyone (he was referred to me by several staff members at OHMC).

Brzusek's attitude was arrogant. He spent only a few minutes talking to me and asked no questions of me regarding my condition. He had little to offer in the way of treatment and told me to "live with it". Would not recommend him to anyone.

He accused me of being a malingerer (someone who fakes pain to get attention) when I really was in pain. I was so insulted, I never returned. He was horrible.

He was straightforward but not rude. He explained my condition very well and gave me several options for treatment and also suggested other physicians and non-physicians ( a chiropractor and psychologist) for additional treatment. My chronic back pain syndrome is not much better, but I understand my condtion better, have much better coping skills, and am no longer afraid that I will be crippled. I would send any of my firends or family to him.

He started me on heavy pain killers for fibromyalgia, then treated me like a drug seeker, yelled at me in the reception area, told me to go back to my regular doc to get more pain killers if I needed them. He was completely disrepectful and treated me like I didnt matter, only that my bill was paid. In my opinion he needs to retire his snap judgements and his ego. He caused me more harm than good.

Dr. Brzusek was very helpful with my knee injury. He was very thorough and gave me more than one option for treatment. I'd go back and I would refer friends and family to him, especially for injury treatment.

An ego the size of Mt. Rainier! Is very hard-headed and refuses to be open minded on various suggestions. Gruff, insensitive, and in dire need or an attitude adjustment

DR D BRZUSEK WAS MY DOCTOR FOR ABOUT 18 MONTHS AND WAS VERY FRONT FOURWARD IN WHAT HE GOOD DO FOR ME AND WHEN HE COULD NO LONGER HELP HE SENT ME ON TO ANOTHER GRATE DOCTER. THE OUT COME WAS GRATE WHY THERE IS NO QUICK FIX FOR CARPEL TUNAL OR KNOWEN AS ( RSI ) I WAS WALK DOWN THE RIGHT PATH BY DR D BRZUSEK.....PS HE SENT ME TO SEE DR DRY WHO IS THE BEST FOR RSI

Do not see him. He yelled at me when I questioned his dianoses. He used 4 letter words. After all of that, 3 other doctors disagreed with his dianoses. He put me threw hell. My neighbor was telling me a simular story and I said "is his name Brzusek". In amazement he said yes. He is an old **** that needs to retire.
