04/04/14 5 5 5 5 Could not ask for a better neurologist! He has been seeing our son since he was 6 months and he is now 5. He has helped us so much and always, always listens to us as parents. We live an hour away and if there are ever any issues we call or email and we always get a reply that is never longer than a day or two. Most doctors dont do that these days. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He has been a blessing. I never second guess him or his treatment of our sons condition. Would highly recommend him.  Respond

17/03/11 5 5 5 5 I went to see Dr Dooley from when I was an infant until I was probably 10 years old. When I first started seeing him other Doctors told my family that I would never walk or talk properly among other things. Because of his help and devotion I not only walk and talk, I was on sports teams throughout my whole life and I have participated in triathlons and I surf, hike, bike and everything else. I can speak as well as anybody else and have always enjoyed public speaking. I have now graduated from Dalhousie and am happily married. Dr Dooley is an amazing man and neurologist.  Respond

07/01/11 5 2 1 1 Dr. Dooley is an asshold, plain and simple. At first he seems like a lovely man, but he has a very foul temper. I watched him berate his staff in front of a waiting room full of people. The poor girl was in tears. He may know what he's doing but so do a lot of doctors with good personalities and even tempers.  Respond

22/12/10 5 5 5 5 I met Dr. Dooley yesterday in IWK emergency, after numerous tests were done for my one year old. All I can say is that the world is a better place because there are doctors like Dr. Dooley. You can tell he loves what he does, and genuinely cares (and is a doctor full of knowledge). I can't thank him enough for helping me get some answers, and for coming to see my daughter.  Respond

16/02/10 5 4 5 5 My son has been seeing Dr. Dooley since he was 5. He is now 9. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and does not make you feel foolish when you ask questions. He answers e-mails which is fantastic. My son loves going to him since he makes him feel so comfortable and he is one of the most caring doctors we've ever seen.  Respond

18/11/09 5 5 5 5 Sixteen years ago my son was referred to Dr. Dooley with questionable Cp. After extensive testing it was determined that he was Autistic and we were referred to another physician. However,Dr.Dooley continued to see my son on a regular basis and directed us on the road to learning about Autism. He is a brilliant doctor who cares deeply about every child and family he gets involved with. He is kind and soft spoken...a trait which all families need when dealing with difficult times, and his medical knowledge is outstanding! My son graduates this year with an Honors Diploma and has been accepted into an IT Program in college. This was all made possible because Dr. Dooley made an early diagnosis and proper treatment was started immediately. My family owe him a great deal for helping our son be a success story. Any family who gets lucky enough to have Dr. Dooley on their side should know that he can make miracles happen. You are a true blessing to all you meet and care for.  Respond

14/09/09 4 4 5 5 Dr. Dooley has been around for many years, in practise and in research. It shows. Most important to me (Personal note?) is that he understands and works well with children. (Ha ha, and the related parent side if this.)  Respond

18/07/07 5 5 5 5 This man and his staff have been blessings in disguise. I have never been more happier in my life to have met such a wonderful team of caring people. Dr. Dooley is in this with his whole heart. It comes oozing out of him when you meet him. My son had grown to not trusting dr's anymore after so many failed attempts at treatment, however, with Dr. Dooley he trusts again. My son and are finally starting to see a light at the end of the very long tunnel all thanks to Dr. Dooley and staff. A HUGE thank you to him for being such a wonderful man. Will prob not meet another caring indiv. like him again. keep up the good work!!  Respond

HE TREATED MY SON AND I WILL RESPECT. WHEN I FOUND OUT MY SON HAD (ADEM) I WAS AT PEACE KNOWING THAT DR.DOOLEY WAS HIS DOCTOR. HE TAKES THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THINGS AND DOESN'T MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE WAISTING HIS TIME. HE IS THE BEST !!  Respond

27/04/07 5 5 5 I love going to Joe's office, as a 13 year old, I thought he would treat me like a little kid, (notice it's a children's hospital) but he is one of my best friends. He put me on Addoral for my tourettes, and it's working like a charm. Joe is a great doctor and friend; If your child has tourettes, and you're in the Nova scotia area, go to Dr. Joe Dooley. HE IS THE BEST YOU WILL EVER GET! I don't think you will EVER find any dislike about this great man. :)  Respond

14/01/07 4 5 5 Dr. Dooley treated me till the age of 19 when I had my last IWK neurology appointment and was transferred to adult neurology at the now QEII. He is an excellent paediatric neurologist. If I had children in need of a neurologist I would feel safe taking them to him, and would have confidence in his care. Dr. Dooley is a wonderful and caring paediatric specialist and can sing well too boot. His neurology colleagues, Dr. Camfield and Gordon (and likely there are newer doctors) the nurses, and receptionist at the children?s clinic were all kind and wonderful. Still miss the IWK some years later. Adult care simply does not compare. Its just not as compassionate, not the same level of care and concern. Stay at IWK neurology and other clinics as long as possible. Press the age limit policies. Even teens need IWK level care, as opposed to adult care ... they are still kids!  Respond

11/01/07 5 5 5 I would like to say a big thank you to Dr. Dooley. He treated my son as well as us in the sweetest manor. He made us all feel relaxed during the visit. Dr. Dooley made my son smile eventhough he was very nervous. My son talked about how cool! he was all the way home to PEI. (Not to many doctors let you play soccer in the halls.) Even when things had to get painfull he still let Matt have a little control. I think this helps. I give you an A+ Dr.Dooley. Thank you again. The MacDonald's from Summerside PEI  Respond
