:) Click to report rating    8/30/09 5 5 5 Recently saw Dr O'Connor as a 2nd opinion. Had to wait several weeks to get an appointment with her. I was very pleased with my outcome. I have suffered with chronic sinusitis for years with no relief. I certainly wish I had known about her much sooner!

:) Click to report rating    2/27/09 4 3 5 I had a nice experience at Carolina Asthma and Allergy Center. I went to the Ballantyne office and was impressed. I have had lifelong allergies and feel great for the first time in many years. Thanks!

:) Click to report rating    11/24/08 4 4 5 I am so grateful for Dr. O'Connor. She is one of the only physicians left who really cares about her patients. I have a complicated medical history and she spent extra time to be sure she understood everything before ordering treatment. She got to the root of the problem and I now feel better than I have in years! A great doctor.

:) Click to report rating    11/13/08 5 5 5 I have had terrible allergy issues the last several years. My other physicians couldn't help me. I became a patient of hers in the last year and feel better than I have in a long time. I appreciate her attentiveness and willingness to help me.

:) Click to report rating    11/12/08 5 5 5 Dr. O'Connor is excellent. I disagree with the negative posting above. She spent well over one hour in the room explaining our daughter's test results. She wanted to be sure that each and every question was answered. Dr. O'Connor spent more time with us than any other physician. I wish that every doctor was as caring and detailed as she is. She reviewed the latest research on food allergies with us and even provided journal articles. I did wait for 20 minutes to see her, but it was well worth it! She was probably spending quality time with another patient while I waited!

:( Click to report rating    11/12/08 2 1 1 Dr. O'Connor talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. I tested with no allergies, but she kept scheduling more appointments. Each time I was seen late, each time she spent about four minutes with me repeating the same questions and statements I was asked by the nurse who preceded her, each time she prescibed a different medicine for me without telling me what the medicine was supposed to do or how it was supposed to help me. Yes, she smiled and talked sympathetically, but her actions in IMO said otherwise. I don't know how long she would have continued seeing me and prescibing trial and error medications for me - I decided I'd wasted enough time and money with her and went elsewhere. Let someone else pay her kids way to college.

:) Click to report rating    9/8/08 5 5 5 I had several wonderful experiences recently as a new patient of Dr O'Connor's. I was seen in the Main office and in the Ballantyne office. Definitely recommend the Ballantyne office. Not as chaotic. It's hard to find a female physician in Charlotte with excellent medical knowledge and good bedside manner. I'm glad a friend recommended her!

:) Click to report rating    2/15/08 2 3 3 I am going to have to agree with the negative poster above. I believe I have spoken with the exact same secretary (with similar responses and an inability to answer any questions) and have felt like my appointments were very cursory and short. We are seeking a second opinion for our child and have not been pleased with Carolina Asthma and Allergy. I have never complained or changed a doctor before in my life, but I have been extremely unimpressed.

:| Click to report rating *  9/24/07 2 1 1 I was not entirely happy with her. We waited over 1/2 hour to be seen from appt time, there was little time then spent with us. Skin test negative but positive blood test, however she had her secretary (with zero medical knowledge)call with the results on Friday at 6pm who could not answer a single question after telling us our son had food allergies. She couldn't even tell us to what foods, and conveniently the doctor was gone-again, Friday at 6pm. We have put in several calls to get the specifics to the blood test and she has not called back. We still don't know what he is allergic to. If she is supposed to be the best, I shutter and the worst. He will not be returning to her or that practice. Highly unprofessional for a secretary to call patients with positive lab results. This is a doctors job or at the very least, a nurse's job.

:) Click to report rating    4/11/07 5 5 Finally, a doctor that listens and takes care of the whole person! Dr. O'Connor was recommended to me as THE BEST in Charlotte and she definitely lives up to the reputation. I did have to wait about 2 months for my first appointment, but now I see why and after following up once with her, I am convinced she is the one to see. I am much better after following her treatment plan and I had suffered for years while seeing a local ENT doctor. She also helped me with some other non-allergy problems I had and referred me back to my PCP with good information and treatment ideas. This Dr. is definitely worth the wait to get in to see her!
