Ok, you will wait at least a half hour, period. On Monday nights, that's their evening hours, maybe up to an hour. That's anywhere you go as well, so deal with it. Is doc's review short and fast, in and out, yes, for the most part. Does he know his stuff, most importantly, yes. Office staff, and the nurses are great. Been going to him for over 6 years. When I have/had questions, I've called the office, did I talk to doc, no, but the nurses got me the answers right away. I've gone to a lot of doctors and everything he has prescribed has worked. Sure doc can improve on his interpersonal skills, a lot of people like that, but the staff is great and will get you any answer you need. Like I mentioned, the wait time stinks but if you want to see a good doctor, you have to wait. Question is to you, how much do you value your time when your health is in question. Does wait time really matter in the big picture?

This Dr. has the worst bed side manner I have ever expeienced. He has no social skills. He barely looked at the problem area on my face before giving me some medicated cream that just irritated my entire face. I waited 2 hours in the office before seeing the Dr.

I had been there previously for skin allergies and the assistant who brought me in talked about the different cosmetic procedures that he did,in particular Restalyne. She stated he was the most affordable around. I had Bell's Palsey twice and my right side began droopin causing a visible nasal fold. After speaking with my primary doctor she stated it probably would help. Well, I wait in the room for an hour during which the same woman from the previous appt. put a topical creme to numbe the area where I would recieve the shots. The next day my entire upper lip was scabbed and parts were blistered, I found out later the topical was not supposed to be on more than half and hour. It's not been two weeks and I have hard bumps all over the area. I read somewher they were supposed to massage the area to prevent this and that did not happen. The doctor went through the procedure with no talk directly to me.Im just very disappointed not only in the service but the procedure,I see no difference.

Take a look at his eyes; cannot make eye contact. We used his practice for 3 years, each time hoping that the time/attention issues would improve; they never did. His error crystallized something for me: this snake oil salesman is not the best-he is simply overbooked, over hyped and overextended. Oh, also check out the laser scar on my forehead-after waiting 2 hours, the big guy rushed the job and then shrugged off the mistake. He couldn't work seven minutes without another hit of "energy" ? If he's so great, why is he still in Belleville and not Short Hills? Don't waste your time or money-get a quality doctor. This one is a sloppy flash in the pan Beverly Hills wannabe.

Excellent. This is the guy who teaches other docs, and why go to the student when you can go to the teacher? Knows the problem immediately, knows the right treatment, end of story. You get as much time as you need. Small problems get less time, big problems may get an hour. I love how people want their doctors to rush through everyone else so they can waste the doc's time with a long list of trivial stuff. As someone else said, go early or you *will* have to wait, as he's very popular.

The best, and I've been to most of them. President of the NJ Dermatology Society, national speaker, researcher, the whole 9 yards. Yes, his office is busy. When you're the best, your office is busy. DUH. Make an early appointment and you won't have to wait. Office staff is the best too.

I spent about an hour and 15 in the waiting room, and then another 15 or 20 minutes in the examination room. Then a nurse showed up warning me that he''s very quick and that I should ask questions before he leaves. Finally he came in the room, muttered a few words as he looked over my patient sheet, and vanished. He was in the room for about 30 seconds and looked at my skin for maybe 5 seconds. I thought for sure he was coming back in the room to talk. Nope. What a laughable experience.

I’ve went to Doctor Eastern for a laser hair removal. The process took only 7 minutes; I looked at the watch before and after. However, I’ve waited 2 ½ hours for this procedure. This is the worst doctor in time management. I’ve asked him a few questions before the procedure and he was such in a rush. The nurse seems to answer all of the questions and I really don’t want to talk to her. I’ve paid for a doctor. He walks in and looks at the paper work to make sure I’ve paid, and then he’s off in a rush to get the procedure done. When the laser process was over, he disappeared. I’ve went to this dermatologist because of all his fancy certifications and degrees. That sure fooled me, never again.

Like a previous reviewer, I sat in the waiting room for 1.5 hours, sat in an exam room for another 45 minutes, Dr. Eastern spent about 5 minutes with me, and then disappeared. When the assistant showed up (I can not verify that she is a nurse) she gave me a prescription and I had to ask her what the diagnosis was, what I was supposed to do with the prescribed cream, what my expectations should be, etc. So, I thought this was odd, but kept my second appointment to see what would happen. On that appointment, I waited about a half-hour and then spent another 5 minutes with him. I canceled my future appointment because my gynecologist determined my issue was hormonal. By the way, you do pay your copay up front and you must sign an authorization form for him to charge your credit card for anything your insurance does not cover. I wasn't too happy about that because the whole reason I went to him was because he participated in my plan.

I have a rare, chronic skin disease. I've been to many dermatologists, and nobody in this area (including New York City) is as good or as knowledgable as Dr. Eastern. Also, his nurses are the nicest people I know, they treat me like family. FWIW I have never waited more than half an hour, usually 15 minuts or less.

I have BAD psoriasis, and nobody could clear me until I went to Dr. Eastern. He's up on the latest stuff, and he's not afraid to use it. Yes, he's not always on time, but find me a GOOD doctor who always is. Very very VERY highly recommended.

I can't believe the one other rating on this doctor -- it's vicious and unfair, and based on a single visit when he was probably having a horrible day. I've been going to Dr. Eastern for years and he and his nurses are the best there are. Shame on that other person for writing such a terrible, unfair comment.

After waiting 2 and a half hours past my appointment time, the Dr. finally saw me. He spent 45 seconds with me - I checked my watch. After the 45 minute conversation, he left the exam room as if to go get something, and then never returned! After 5 minutes a nurse appeared, handed me some prescriptions without giving me any opportunity to ask questions and said, "you're done". Shame on me for waiting nearly 3 hours for this guy, but they take your co-payment when you arrive so you're stuck. Worst physician experience I have ever had.
