04/07/13 3 5 3 5 I have no complaints about his manner. Rather rude and abrupt, but I can be the same way. I don't want to particularly take him home with me. I think he did his job. I am kinda pissed that he spent 25 MINUTES yesterday (all in my hearing and vision) attending to some fellow with a knee tendon problem. BUT this guy spent his winters in Arizona and boy was he entitled! The good doctor just waxed rhapsodic. I guess they're in the same country club, although I noticed he hadn't paid any more for his visit than I. I'd fall off my chair if I got one tenth ever of the same kind of attention. But to give Dr J his due, my visit was less complicated, it was worth every minute of the two that I got of his attention.  Respond

06/12/12 3 1 1 1 Horrible! He was not helpful at all and I would even call him lazy. He said I needed to be referred to another specialist but wouldn't write the referral....told me to go back to my family doctor and get her to send the referral. I asked him about numerous treatment options and all he did was shrug his shoulders and grin like an idiot but would not comment on any therapy option. A total waste of time!  Respond

30/11/12 5 5 5 5 I went to Dr Jones to fix my injury. I did not go to him to have him hold my hand and make me feel good about myself. He did what he said he was going to do. End of story.  Respond

14/06/12 5 5 5 5 I had laposcopic surgery on my knee in April. Dr. Jones was fantastic. He explained the surgery when I went to see him, plus on the follow up he explained what he did & what my options are for the future. He was very caring & knowledgable. I would recommend him in a second. As far as comments saying he is rude & had bad bedside manners. I would beg to differ. Sometimes you only get what you dish out.  Respond

05/10/11 3 5 5 5 Dr Jones was wonderful with my 9 year old. We needed 3 surgeries, 4 casts and many appointments and he always took the time to explain things to me, he gave me options, explained to my son everything that was going to happen, joked around with us and is an EXCELLENT surgeon.  Respond

30/12/10 4 5 5 5 Two total hip replacement surgeries this year and I can thank Dr. Jones for his expertise, his helpful manner and humor. Carolina, in the office, always had time to check on any questions I had and got right back to me. I highly recommend Dr. Jones.  Respond

28/09/10 5 5 5 5 Doctor Jones is the man. Like anyone, he can have hot and cold days, but I have found him to be great with me. He jokes around, takes the time to explain things to me. Plus, I know he does great work so I don't care as much about his bedside manner.  Respond

24/02/10 2 3 2 3 Just before Christmas my mother was sent home without any physio (she could walk on her own before the fall which she broke her hip). It was the 24th and the seniors home had no PT and are not equipped or have the ortho skills to handle a fresh post op patient. In Alberta in the acute care setting on Ortho/trauma/surgical unit we work towards assisting all patient to be back to their level of mobility before the injury! I was told he said the reason for my mother's d/c was 1. because she is older and 2. because she is in a nursing home. I am not to happy with the comments and the fact that my mother was released without any physiotherapy.  Respond

13/11/09 4 5 5 5 Don't get a lot of these comments, I'm 63 yr. old woman who had him for hip replacement five years ago. Is he a little abrupt, yes he can be, but when you get to know him he has very comical side, is more then willing to show and explain anything he is going to do or will do, and I can walk pain free again. Unlike some people I know who have to go to him in the end to get fixed from others mistakes. The man practically lives at that hospital, he takes all cancelled surgeries, his patients never wait longer then three months, and he cares about what he is doing, every nurse, orderly even other MD's all say they would only want him for his type of surgery. Plus a real" sharp dresser," and for old broad like me that means something. If he takes the time to look his best, then you know he will take the time to do the best job !!!!!  Respond

26/10/09 4 4 5 5 Understanding Dr. Jone's background might give ppl a little more perspective - having been a military man, it's easy to see why he comes across sometimes as rather callous and rude. It's really too bad more people couldn't know the big soft teddybear he really is underneath. Dr. Jones is an extremely knowledgeable and talented doctor - I would trust him ANY DAY with my care, even moreso when you look at the majority of ****/Orthoped surgeons working in Regina & area right now! HUGE kudos to Dr. Jones! :)  Respond

03/04/08 1 5 5 5 I am a nurse and this doctor really really knows his profession. Fabulous surgeon. Can fix the botch jobs of many other surgeons. Tells it like it is and a lot of ortho patients dont like that. Get over it. If you are FAT, surgery will NOT fix things. Lose weight. Reception very bad though. Spent whole time whining about her hypochondriac complaints.  Respond

28/03/08 5 4 5 5 He is an amazing surgeon who fixed my knee when 3 other doctors had tried and failed. within 5 months of my surgery i had 95 per cent range of motion and best of all i was finally free of the pain that i had been living with for the last 4 years. He can be a bit abrupt but never rude. He is a very knowledgable and gifted surgeon and he is honest and tells it like it is. I expected him to tell me that there was nothing more that could be medically done for me as 3 other doctors had tried and failed but he never gave me that impression and although he made no promises i felt at ease and very safe in his care. I feel very blessed to have had this gifted man come into my life and i would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone.  Respond

19/09/07 3 3 1 4 This man would not give me the time of day after surgery,he was very unprofessional and did not leave the doorway for my whole appt, which I might add was only 5 min.long. Even though I was having pain he never even looked at the area.  Respond

07/09/07 5 5 5 5 Amazing Dr would highly recommend him. I had 3 previous orthopedic surgeons try to fix my knee and he was the only one that was able to provide me with pain relief. Now I can run and do all of the activities I was never able to do! Thanks Dr Jones  Respond

02/05/07 3 1 1 This was one of the rudest doctor's I have ever been to. Very rude and walked out of the room and left me wondering "what, did this really happen" He may be knowledgeable but needs alot of lessons in How to treat patients like people.  Respond

30/04/07 4 5 5 Doctor Jones is one of the best doctors ever. I broke my arm 2 summers ago and I went to see him. He is very kind and always told me about what he ws going to do. Four weeks after I broke my arm I needed to have 2 pins because it wasnt healing right. Doctor Jones was very patient and he always made sure I was comfortable. Even when I woke up after the surgery he was there waiting for me to wake up. He told me what was going to happen next. I am a total clutse and because of that I had torn a legiment in my knee a couples months ago, and I imidiatly went to see Dr. Jones. He told me what I should do to make my knee better and perscribed me to a physio-therapist. I have been doing what he has told me to do and Im am almost fully recovered now. I would recomend Dr. Jones to anyone, anytime. He is so Nice.  Respond

17/04/07 5 5 5 Dr. Jones is an incredible surgeon, very friendly and personable. He is a perfectionist and highly efficient and I think alot of people mistake that for arrogance or indifference. He reconstructed my ACL and I have full use of my knee and a 100% return to high impact sports. He also has been treating a partial tear of my posterial tibial tendon. In this case, he opted not to perform surgery - I really feel that he has my best interests in mind when making descisions about my treatment. I really could not ask for a better doctor.  Respond

04/04/07 5 5 5 Dr. Jones is an excellent doctor - I saw him for a cronic problem which was resolved once I took his advice and he performed hip replacement surgery on my mother. He was a little brisk the first time we saw him but after the initial appointments I found him to be one of the most personable and friendliest doctors I've ever had. He was extremely patient with and kind to my mother as well. I would recommend Dr. Jones to anyone.  Respond

26/03/07 3 1 3 One of the rudest, most pompous, ego-centric people I have ever met...in medicine or otherwise.  Respond

09/03/07 4 2 2 He asked me questions. I then asked him a question. His response was "I ask the questions, you answer them". He was unfeeling, arrogant rude and inconsiderate. He says he does not do orthoscopic surgery on torn rotator cuffs (he does not know how??) and that he would have to do a six inch incision. All other people I spoke with had two inch cuts and their surgeons did ortho for that same thing. He did not instill confidence at all.  Respond

20/02/07 5 4 5 I saw Dr. Jones after falling off an ATV. I broke my arm in three places. He was an incredle surgeon who took time in explaining everything to me and my husband. You can tell this man cares and is very good at what he does. He always took care of me with the upmost compassion and cared what happend to me. He strived to make me push to get to 100%. For that I am completely grateful.  Respond

15/02/07 4 1 2 Extremely rude. When asked what could be done about the arthritis and bone chip in my husband's knee, he replied "What do you want me to do?" and arrogantly dismissed him with a wave of the hand. Would never recommend him to anyone.  Respond

12/02/07 4 2 5 Very poor bedside manner. Told me to go on long term disability at the age of 25. Couldn't bring himself to admit that he couldn't fix my elbow, and told me to live with it. would not recommend him.  Respond

18/01/07 2 2 3 I found Dr. Jones to be very arrogant and does not have the best bed side manners. Nothing wrong with being upfront and honest but does not have a nice way about it at all. When I took my son to see him he totally ignored me in the office like I had no business asking any questions about anything as my son was the "patient" not me. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone.  Respond
