:) Click to report rating    7/29/09 4 4 4 I moved back to the metro area a year and a half ago and I have seen 4 doctors before seeing Dr. Chaulk. After the first time I met him I asked him to be my family dr. and had all my records from Alberta sent to his office. He has been wonderful with me and my family. This winter my son (2 yrs) was very sick, we took him to Janeway because it was a Sunday night and they said he was fine. A few days later he was getting worse we took him to see Dr. Chaulk and he quickly identified that he had severe phnomia in both lungs. When we told him that he had already been to Janeway and they said their was nothing wrong, he was very angry. He really cares about kids and took good care of my son calling personally 3 times after to make sure he was OK. I am not pregnant again and whould trust no one else but him to help me through my pregnancy, it's just too bad he doesn't deliver anymore! I love Dr. Chaulk and highly reccommond him!

:) Click to report rating    2/2/09 3 3 5 Dr Chaulk has seen my family as long as I can remember, and as long as I can remember I have never wanted to go to any other Doctor. He is a great Doctor; Listens to your concerns and is very through. I am now living in Alberta and having a hard time finding another doctor who is so kind caring and patient as Dr. Chaulk. I still stop by to see him on occasion when I am home and he even made sure to photocopy my test results and provide me with a copy, without me asking, so that I would not have to get the tests re done when I got back to Alberta...and as for his staff, I was always able to go to him with any concerns and he would make sure to give them heck, not sure it makes any difference but at least he sympathizes with you....I highly recommend Dr. Chaulk to anyone.

:( Click to report rating    10/30/08 3 3 1 Dr Chalk,he has false diganosed my brother, that ended up in my brother getting circumsized, he never really listens to what you tell him, it seems he will write yout ur antiboitics and send you out the door, and several people in paradise have reason to believe that dr chalk has contributed to deaths of their family members, one i particular dr chalk rold a man to keep his leg elevated when he was in bed,,,,a blood-clout broke free from his leg and went to his heart and,,that man was burried here in paradise 2 years back....he seems to be good for older persons, just give them their high blood pressure meds and....next

:) Click to report rating    5/30/08 5 4 5 Dr Chaulk has been a part of my ongoing care support team and integral to my personal growth in managing my own health. He got me on the right path to wonderful diabetes control and has guided me through my current healthy pregnancy. I know he has a huge patient load but he always makes time to see you when needed and is all about continuing to grow professionally to help manage your illness with you. So glad to have met him and I hope my family and I can continue to see him for many many years. Wonderful Doctor! :)

:) Click to report rating    5/28/08 4 4 5 I saw Dr. Chaulk as a kid for a few years before he moved and then I found him again as an early adult after I moved. Overall he is a good doctor. Sometimes his visits are on the quick side but thats when he usually has alot of patients to see. I find he does care about my concern and tries to find some sort of solution. He always does remember me but I wouldn't expect him to remember my last visit on the fly. Thats what charts are for. The person as with many dr's see 1000's of visitors a year. No one can diagnose a problem and be right 100%. This is from someone that had 2 minor misidagnosis by a specialist.

:) Click to report rating    7/3/07 3 3 4 Dr Chaulk, has been a wonderful doctor. My family and I have been seeing this doctorfor 21 yrs. On times he made a few mistakes, nothing that has caused my life to be in jeopardy. I speak as Ifind him. It takes awhile to find out about different things about different pains of the body. If I find that I,m not comfortable with what he said Iwill ask to be sent to a specialist, We can put blame on any one Doctor, if we did,nt report how we are feeling . It is better to tell him exactly how we feel for a long while. Dr Chaulk keep up the good work.

:) Click to report rating    6/19/07 3 5 My family have been patients of Dr. Chaulk for 9 years. I find him to be very knowledgeable and very caring. If he feels that you need tests or an appointment with a Specialist urgently, he will not accept the first appointment that they offer, but will keep working until he gets you in quickly. The wait time is sometimes long, but that's becasue he takes time with the patients that need some extra time. Contrary to what some say, I've never felt rushed when I've visited him, but that may be because I'm actually not well when I go there, and he knows that If I'm there, something is wrong. I think that this is the biggest issue with a lot of doctors - people who take up their appointment time when they are not really sick.

:) Click to report rating    5/8/07 4 5 He has been my family doctor for almost 5 years now and he's the best family doctor that I've ever had! He always takes the time to listen to my concerns/problems and he always thinks about my family and asks how they are doing. He is absolutely wonderful with children and my children love him! But like others who have left commets, I would like to see friendlier staff at his office!

:( Click to report rating    5/8/07 1 1 found him to be rude and shows pt no respect.Does not remember from one visit to the next what your actual health matter is.Slow to act on things and order investigations or referrals.Rushes you in and out as fast as possible. My new doctor has done more for me in two months than he did for me in the 12 years I saw him.

:) Click to report rating    4/4/07 4 5 A wonderful doctor, extremely helpful and will do all he can to get to the bottem of your problems. I have multiple problems from injuries and birth defects, I live with chronic pain that I have had for many years, and all this caused emotional/mental problems. He has spent several years working thru all this, and one by one we have either fixed each problem, or helped me live with the ones that can't be fixed. He has gotten me appointments with specialists in short order, he talks to me as a person and not a chart, I alway feel better after I leave his office, mentally at least if not physically. Great doctor!

:) Click to report rating    3/31/07 4 3 dr chaulk is excellent kind , caring and professional butttt.. who hires his staff they are the most unprofessional, contrary receptionists i have ever experienced in a medical enviroment , especially Florence, she won't give appts after 3:00 in the event she might not get out on time at 5:00. I have also been in the waiting area when a senior has been waiting at the desk to be checked in and has been totally ignored and when they called for her attention she snapped at them in front of all the waiting area causing them to be very embarassed...to work there they need to be sensitive to clients needs and show sympathy for our seniors while treating all patients with the respect they deserve. I also realize there are other drs in the clinic who are also okay with the way staff treat patients as I for one have spoke to dr chaulk but there seems to be no action taken as the mood of the staff contiunes to be UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

:) Click to report rating    3/30/07 3 3 I have read the other ratings - some say he's great...some say never again. What people have to realize is that a doctor who is a general practiionier is there to help you figure out what is causing the symptoms you have. The hard thing is, various diesases, etc cause the same symptoms. Dr. Chaulk is good in the fact that if he sends you for certain tests...and nothing comes up, he'll send you for different tests until he finds out what is wrong. Doctors aren't gods...and it is human to error, whether we like hearing it or not. They can and will make mistakes too.

:( Click to report rating    3/21/07 3 1 This doctor is out for himself in all ways. He does not take on a caring attitude with patients. He wants you in and out the door and when he does up your charts, he forgets what he wrote from the first appointment to the last. NOT RELIABLE!! Also, his receptionists at the front dest need a good lesson in manners and I think I would pay for stitches if they would smile once at a patient.

:) Click to report rating    3/13/07 5 5 Excellent doctor- moved here less than a year ago, he was accepting, efficient, thorough, and patient. He took time to listen to our needs, recorded information for future reference and cared. I never met a doctor that once he accepted you as a new patient - set up appointments on a Saturday Morning 8:30am for complete medicals. He sent for complete blood work, test etc. He was making sure all basis' were covered. I lived in NS & NB - I told him - he was the first doctor I ever had that actually took time to listen. Wow! Recommend him highly.

:) Click to report rating    2/1/07 4 5 This guy is AMAZING.. He listens carefully to everything you have to say and takes way more extra time to help you fully understand everything that you need to know. When I first moved to this province I went through a brutal divorce and he even offered to let me call him at home if I needed to! I need surgery now and he has carefully guided me through all the required testing and listened to my concerns with the utmost patience. My kids really like him too and he is very good with them. Highly recommended.
