04/03/13 5 3 5 5 I was referred to chaudhry for my first pregnancy. She was very kind, informed and overall very helpful. She always took the time to answer any questions. She successfully delivered my baby and I was told by my nurses she did a great job stitching me back up. I feel very confident in her knowledge and ability as a doctor. My only complaint is the wait times. She sometimes has to deliver a baby or is just overbooked. Don't go by online ratings to pick a doctor, meet her and decide for yourself!  Respond

19/04/12 4 1 2 2 I was her patient for 13 years. 10 years ago /I've had a a baby, and from then I had period every 3rd week, massive bleeding, and big pieces blood passes for first 2 days. She always say do not worry about it. Last 10 years I was weak, tired, moody, miserable. My gp find out I was anemic from the massive bleeding, sent me back to Dr.Chaudry. Then she find a fibroid in my uterus, wanted to make hysterectomy. I had educated myself, hundres of problem for hysterectomy, so I just wanted the fibroid to remove. She could not find me any dr., who does it. I did find one myself in T.O. Sunnybrook. Fibroid removed, and I feel a different person.l Have more energy, I am happy, feel lighter, not tired. Dr.Chaudry is not really knowledgable about hysterectomy, an or fibroid removal possibilities. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.  Respond

11/07/11 5 3 1 3 I have to say the staff here are very excellent and made me feel very comfortable, however, I did feel pretty rushed after waiting quite a long time. I understand how busy she must be, but Dr. Chaudhry I feel does not have a good bedside manner. She seems professional, but did miss an infection that could have been prevented if she had looked at me instead of just asking a couple questions and then rushing me out the door. Overall I felt rushed and not listened to - I wish she was a little more thorough and treated her patients with respect instead of looking down upon them. :(  Respond

30/05/11 5 1 1 1 We wont start on how long to get an appointment, just to be rushed during examination. If you have no kids or can't have em, it is an even longer wait. Has no emotion when answering your questions, is usually wrong in diagnonsis. And she is rude and i would never go see her again.  Respond

26/01/11 5 3 3 3 The staff are great there. I just always felt so rushed with the Dr. I know she has a lot to do but her job is patient care and if she isn't listening to the patient then she's not doing her job. After 2 minutes she'd have her hand on the door while I asked questions, as if I was bothering her. Easy fix: take on less patients and don't book 3 appointments for 2pm and then 3 more at 2:15 etc etc...no wonder she's always 2 hours behind.  Respond

01/04/09 5 4 5 5 I have never had any problems with this doc. Yes you do wait a bit to see her, but come on if that was you over at the hosp.. giving birth and she was your doc. I think you would want her there instead of a doctor you dont know. She cant be in two places at once people.... Maybe we should rate the health system for lack of doctors. That is the problem, its not the fact that they dont want to help us its the fact that there is only 24hrs in a day. I'm sure she does her office all day and then still goes to the hospital all night to take care of others there. My kids were born at 9pm and 1am and she was there for both of them. I think she is doing a great job!!!  See Responses

13/01/09 5 4 4 5 I can't believe all the BS on here about how bad of a dr. she is. You pple complain of the long wait and yet complain that she is always in a hurry. You can't have both pple. But yet her office is always full. She can't be that bad of a dr. I seen her with both my pregnancies, and yes as i was irritated about the lack of time she gave me to answer my questions, she was and is a great dr. And the only time i had to wait more than an hour was when she was called out for an emerg. c-section. If you pple can't understand that, then you have no business talk bad about her. My sister, my aunt and a couple of friends has had no problems with her, so honestly, i can't believe any of the BS that is being spewed here. She is a great dr. And considering the lack of drs here, she is doing her best. She may be a little impersonal, but she sure is NOT rude.  See Responses

24/06/08 1 2 1 2 She doesn't care enough about her patients. She's more concerned about quantity over quality health care. Plain and simple. I had an ovarian cyst that could have been easily removed in early stages. She didn't treat me. I almost died a year later when it cut all the blood supply off my ovary. Now I only have my right ovary and fallopian tube, after a horrific and traumatizing emergency salpingo-oopherectemy surgery. Thank the Lord in heaven I was in Grimsby during my attack and not in Welland. Doctor's who nest in this city are nearly incompetent, in my opinion.  See Responses

22/05/08 5 3 5 5 Dr Chaudry was my Ob thru 2 pregnancies & she recently tied my tubes. I enjoyed her as a Dr. She didn't deliver my children but I had a very positive in office experience with her. She did run late for most appointments but that was to go deliver a baby. Some days she had 2 woman in delivery & was still trying to see patients. She is a hard working Dr & I would not have wanted anyone else to look after me. I hat Drs told her so right up front & she did her best to keep me calm. She is quick & to the point. With my son she sent me for a second ultrasound because I was all baby. I most have looked worried because she looked at me & said I am not worried don't you worry. I want to check the size. I would recommend her to anyone!!  Respond

12/05/08 4 2 2 3 The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My biggest concern is that I don't think I've ever waited less than an hour for my appointment. I also find that sometimes the doctor dodges my questions - she's difficult to get a direct up-front response from. However, my pregnancy went well, from what I can tell, she knew what she was doing...even though I didn't.  Respond

04/04/08 2 1 1 1 Chaudhry was AWFUL! I have a long list of medical prodedures done which greatly complicates my pregnancies! After my doctor sent her a full list and some recomendations for my care, she chose to IGNORE them all! Luckily I am strong willed and concerned for my own well being and fought with her to run some IMPORTANT medical tests! Also, I was made aware very early on that with any pregnancy I would be requiring a c-section due to screws in my hip and condition of my kidney.. she tried to talk me out of it. She finally gave in, but not until I broke down crying in her office. We set a date, confirmed the date only days before my scheduled c-section.. then one day later I received a phone call that she was spontaniously changing the date.. I only had days to do! She wouldn't address my concerns, or deal with the fact I was high risk.. I requested to be transfered at 37 1/2 weeks.. I was later advised by another doctor that had I not have fought for the c-section I very well may have died!  See Responses

19/02/08 5 2 3 4 This OB/GYN is knowledgable and is very patient. For my first visit with her and being a little anxious not knowing what to expect, I felt very comfortable with her. It understandable that she will be late because of her duties and responsibilities to her patients who are ready to deliver. The staff are very knowledgable and professional. I even witnessed Dr. Chaudhry call some of her patients by phone. Kadus to this doctor and her staff. Keep up the good work!  Respond

16/01/08 3 3 1 4 I was referred by my gp during my first pregnancy. After a very long wait during which I was sick twice, I went into see her. She sat across a large examing room from me and asked me questions while having me lay on the table. It felt very impersonal and uncomfortable. Within the first couple of minutes of the "interview" she coldly asked me how I "felt about terminations". Red flags went up immediately and all I could think was "I don't trust her". To her credit she suspected that I was large for my dates and had me go for an ultrasound to make sure "there was only one in there". Sure enough, I had twin girls. But I found her bedside manner abrupt and very distant. I see a wonderful OB in St. Cats now who is compassionate and patient, and very knowledgeable. He delivered my twins, and will hopefully be delivering my third very soon.  Respond

10/01/08 2 1 1 1 Would not even take my dog to this Dr.! She would deserve better than this Dr.! I read the comments, and I see most women are satisified, as long as she was delivering a baby...but, don't dare get a serious problem. I went to her for excessive bleeding, was anemic. She gave me b.c. pills to regulate. Only to find that the bleeding got worse, because she added more hormones into my body, which I already had too much of, and that was the cause of the problem. After being in emerg., She wanted to give me more hormones, I said NO, insisted on D & C. I went back for follow up 7 weeks after. And, she was like a nervous cat...had a hard time telling me I had cancer! Thank god I insisted on the D & C...meanwhile she wanted to put me on med's.! I could be dead because of her lack of knowledge and concern. The only thing I can say good, was her office made me an appointment with excellent dr.'s at Jurvaski Cancer Clinic in Hamilton. I suggest using another Dr.!!! It is your LIFE !!!  Respond

09/01/08 2 2 2 3 I had an ovarian cyst rupture requiring emergency surgery. Dr. Chaudry was on call. Though a capable surgeon and she was compassionate and competent pre-surgery, the after-care left much to be desired. While in hospital before being released I asked questions that she gave only vague answers to, suggesting I see my own gyn. She said I should see her in 10 days to have staples removed. I could not reach her office to set up an appt (voice messages only and/or v/mailbox full). I have never seen a dr. that did not have someone taking calls and making appts. My family dr. had to remove the staples. When I did finally see my gyn over 1 month later, he was astounded over the fact I had not been put on hormone replacement since the surgery left me with no ovaries and in menopause. Furthermore, my uterus remains (should have been removed also), creating complications, risks, and need for a future surgery. My GYN is also astounded over this. I feel sorry for her regular patients...  See Responses

29/12/07 5 1 4 4 Dr. Chaudhry was my OB during my first pregnancy this past summer. I always counted on an hour wait, so I just made sure I had a drink, a snack, and a good book! She is very busy and often no empty seats. I didn't like that I had to stand sometimes...that's hard on a pregnant woman. That being said, she took time with me once I got into the assessment room. She answered my questions and if I wasn't satisfied with an answer I would just keep asking questions until I understood. She asked me about myself (i.e. job, etc.) almost every visit and took an interest in me as a person. She was very knowledgeable during my labour and delivery and made a very wise decision to perform a c section after allowing me to labour AND try pushing. In the end, my recovery from a c section was much more managable than the stitches I would have required recovering from a vaginal birth. Dr. Chaudry will be my first choice for an OB when I am pregnant with #2.  Respond

19/11/07 5 3 1 3 She seems nice and i understand that there is a shortage of all doctors in the niagara region, so yes , she is very busy. But my pregnancy was very painful, my baby is large for gestational age, all i asked her for was any info ,anything, all i got was nothing. My last few visits were terrible, no measuring, no fetal heartbeat monitoring, no internal, just in and out. I have questions, she has no time to answer them, said she could induce at 37 weeks, but the time has come and she just told me to calm down and act like a grown woman. I have placenta problems, carpel tunnel, excruciating, abdomen and back pain, yes pregnant women become uncomfortable in the end, but i've had so many problems since the beginning and no comfort , and no advice on how to cope from her. She got mad at me when i asked her how big the baby was, i am concerned because even the ultrasound tech said the baby was too large , no more room to grow. I just quit as her patient.  Respond

09/08/07 5 3 5 5 i've only had a few appointments for my pregnancy but she is very willing to answer any questions/concerns you have. You do have to wait sometimes but there is a shortage of doctors in welland, my family doctor died and i got pregnant and had to go to the clinic to get a referal. She may be a little behind schedule but almost everytime i have been there she also has like 20 people in the room at once so you just have to realize she is a doctor ( where there's few even taking patients) so be patient!  Respond

05/07/07 3 1 1 2 She doesn't help at all. I called for an appointment. I was told by many sources its a good idea to have a check up before getting pregnant. as i was planning to become pregnant I said "i'd like to come in to have a basic check up, and be tested for any sti's, etc. so that i know everything will be okay if i got pregnant" the response. WE'll worry about it when your pregnant. so i got pregnant. and then went in. she doesn't answer any of my questions or concerns. i developed genital warts. and asked how this could have happened. her answer was through sex. i understood that, but wondered how i had gotten it when there is no chance me or my partner has been with anyone else in over a year. she says "its from having sex". she treated me once, and they returned. she referred me to hamilton and they denyed it. now she refuses to treat me until after the baby...but i know that now the baby is at risk!!! yet she won't treat me....over all i'm CHANGING doctors after this baby!!!!!!!!  Respond

01/06/07 5 5 5 Dr. Chaudhry is by far THE BEST Gyno in Welland. All you ladies complaining DO sound neurotic and self-centered. Have you ever even been in her office? She's a busy lady! Dr. Chaudhry is such a caring doctor, she helped me through all three of my pregnancies, and did so in such a caring way. And to the person who is on BC pills and uses condoms, YOU CAN STILL GET PREGNANT. The blood work she tested you for tests for everything, and she's just being extra careful which is what a good doctor does. I wish more doctors were as caring as Dr.Chaudhry  Respond

25/05/07 3 1 2 I stopped going to Dr Chaudry when I explained to her I had a lump in my breast. She said "go to your family doctor". I also explained to her my concern about how I had broken pelvis before and how it might affect my furture pregnancy..thinking before I got pregnant would be a good time to discuss. She said wait until you are pregnant and then she will worry about it. I have too much self respect to be ok with those types of responses. I should not have to put myself in her shoes..I am not her and do not want to be. I have a right to receieve quality care. Of course we know the reality is long wait times but why? Unfortunately women want to be treated well and by being treated well they don't want to be "stroked" they just want to be respected and treated with dignity and compassion.  Respond

24/05/07 3 5 5 Well I have been with Dr.Chaudhry since she basically came to Welland, and i think she was a great doctor who is very informative and caring. She didn't even stop to take her lunch, she'd eat it while talking to me in the examine room, I felt sorry for her not having a 20 min break to even eat. She has quickly become one of the most busiest obgyn's in Welland and cudo's to her for sticking it out. There are only so many doc's around, while others have retired, or succumbed to the pressure of government b.s (dr hsu)r.i.p I am just lucky she was there when i had my children, and when she wouldn't let me leave her office when i found out i was having a miscarriage and was so distraught. I didn't even have an appointment that day, but she took the time to talk to me and help me through it. I wish more doc's we're like her. It helps when her patients are mature about wait times etc, thats life, suck it up and deal with it, or don't get pregnant!!  Respond

22/05/07 3 5 5 Besides the wait time in the office (which can be expected... she's a busy lady- therefore I'm not complaining since she delivered my children!) I love Dr.Chaudhry. 17/05/07 1 1 1 Well I usually wouldn't post but the treatment I received last was pretty bad. I made an appt to change my b.c. as I was having problems with the previous b.c. prescribed. I waited 2hrs (not a big deal) Gave her a quick synopsis of my issues, abdominal pains, lack of period for 6mos and am here for different kind of b.c. and reason behind pains. She ask if I could be pg--i told her no; she then told me she was sending me for bloodwork to verify this, I told er again--not possible, been using b.c and condoms, no way. Her response was that "even people on b.c can get pg" Iasked her if there was any other reason for the pains--none given. She was more concerned why I called personally the office and not through my gp..anyway I took the bloodwork test --and sure enough not PG I wasted 2 hrs to be given a test I knew i didn't need and have prescribed a new b.c I know NOTHING about or why the last didn't agree NO trial period identified. Shooed out of the office. no exaggeration here.  Respond

02/05/07 4 5 5 give me a break! Expectations are a little unrealistic here. You ladies who are complaining about wait times are also the ones complaining that she doesn't spend enough time with you. What do you want? Many of you women sound self centered and neurotic. You have no idea what a physician's knowledge entails and, generally speaking, if a doctor doesn't react to you "poor me" whining, it is because she has heard it all many times that day and because she is tired of providing comfort when NOTHING IS REALLY WRONG. Inform yourselves, think about others and learn to expect long delays and to get your stroking from your significant others or girlfriends. Dr. Chaudhry does not have the time. She has delivered our three children and will be doing the same one more time. I have spent many hours in the waiting room with impatient toddlers. I have also caused many to wait while Dr. Chaudhry delivered our girls. Learn to have reasonable expectations (and learn to spell!)  Respond

19/04/07 2 2 3 Always long waits for OBGYNs. Nothing we can do. As far as bedside manners & putting patients at ease, she fails. Sure she's very knowledgable in her field, but that does not mean the rest of us are. I saw her when I was under 18 for multiple things, from ovarian cysts, to abnormal cells, to her performing DNC's. Being young & afraid, I found no comfort from her. After one of my surgeries, she informed me on the 'next steps' while I was still trying to wake up from anestetic. Another time, she informed me that I had "a stitch" when I had multiple stitches & bled for 6 weeks straight. When I called her concerned, the nurse advised she would be calling me back. Three days later, I called the office to speak to Dr. Chaudhry, her answer was "you're not hemorraging, don't worry about it". Then she asked if I had had my cycle yet. Another time, she adv'd me I had a green foam to stop bleeding, I was so full of packing, my stomach was swollen & hard. I will not see her again if I can help it.  Respond

16/03/07 4 5 5 I was shocked to read so many negative reviews about Dr. Chaudhry. I was referred to Dr. Chaudhry from my sister. She has been my OB/GYN for nearly 12 years. She took care of me and my baby during my pregnancy & delivery last year - and she did a great job! She was always very pleasant and thorough during our visits. Our delivery went smoothly and she came to check-up on me in the hospital each day of my stay. I would and have referred Dr. Chaudhry to friends and family. 16/03/07 2 4 5 After not going to an OB/GYN for 16 years I was referred to Dr Chaudry. I was terrified. Had a panic attack ( first one) when it was time to go to my appt. Her staff was wonderful, told me that when I felt up to coming to call and they woudl take me right then, and they did. She was kind and helpful and supportive when I went. 2 yrs later I went for excessive bleeding and she was wonderful then too. Her follow up was better than I have had in the past. She was my Doc for my first child, she did not show up for the delivery, nor did she visit me in the hospital (I was there for over 48 hours), nor did she discarge me, I was told that she was even in the hospital the day I was to be relesed, and after waiting 5 hours for her to come, the nurse final discharged me. I now go to see a midwife. How wonderful they are. Only have to wait a max of 10 min to get in if there is even a wait at all and my appointment is a min of 30 min long to make sure I understand everthing and all my question are answered and they take very good note and review them to understand you personal, you are not just another person, they make you feel very important because you choose them to take care of you and your unborn baby.
