:) Click to report rating    11/18/09 3 4 4 I have been seeing Dr.Fodor for over 3 years. When I was refered to her I was told she was the best MS Dr. in the city, which she is! I will admit her bedside manner is not the greatest but do you want good bedside manner or a Dr. that knows what they are talking about?? My MS was not progressed, I see Dr.Fodor every 4 months and I am living a good life because of the care and guidance she gives me. I will agree with her staff being grumpy I wish she would bring Laurel back, she was great. (in this economy who is not grumpy)

:( Click to report rating    2/26/09 1 1 1 DON'T GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!! She is very rigid and uncaring.I do not recommend her to anyone. I tried to refill my Copaxone RX in Dec. 08, her staff told me she refused to do so because I hadn't been to see her in 14.5 months. I agreed to see her Jan. 6 and asked for the refill but she refused. This made my deductible start over again and now a RX that would have cost me $50 then is now $4000. Niether Dr. Fodor nor her staff care about helping a patient. I took the printed sheets from my insurance website showing how much I would have paid for Copaxone in Dec. and the $4000 I have to pay now because she refused to refill my RX and she very dispassionately told me 'that's my policy and you have to do what you have to do.' Today I got her 2/19 (the date of my visit) letter firing me as her patient. She ordered an MRI w & w/o contrast & blood work to check B-12 level. She did go over the MRI with me in her office but the blood work has never come up. BAD DOCTOR - DON'T GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

:) Click to report rating    12/3/08 5 3 5 Dr. Patricia Fodor was my first neurologist that acknowledged it was all in my head (pun intended) :). The only time she was late (very late) for an appt, she waived the fee. I'm a very inquisitive patient and always prepared with questions for appts ahead of time (I think everyone should take this responsibility of their health). I think this surprised and amused her, but in a great way. She always answered my questions in depth. I know some people that weren't wowed by her personality, but if the patient makes an effort, I know she'll reciprocate. I also feel she warmed after regular visits. All in all, I regret that I had to move north for work and find another doctor. Her staff was always welcoming and helpful (although the candy bowl is quite sinful). I recommend her to any patient that is yearning to be informed and has questions about conditions/health. Thanks!!

:( Click to report rating    10/30/08 2 4 1 Dr. Fodor told me that she would send me the results of my blood tests because she doesn't call people to discuss results since they usually forget what she says (implying her time is too valuable to have to repeat herself). I went the next day to have my blood drawn. 5 weeks later I still had not received the results, when I called, her staff seemed bothered, confused and didn't seem to even care, but agreed to send my results. There were no notes from the doctor (I don't think she ever looked at them). When I called to ask about them, i was told that if there were no notes everything was fine. I figured I would just speak with the doctor at my next appointment, but she cancelled it. I rescheduled for two weeks later and she cancelled that one too the morning of the appointment.

:| Click to report rating    7/14/08 1 3 1 After treating my husband's MS symptoms for more than five years, Dr. Fodor terminated him as a patient after we requested assistance from her staff with prescription authorization. Her staff is unbelievably unprofessional, uncooperative, and rude. The representatives at Provigil Helpline had nothing but difficulties with her staff who were either overworked and/or under educated - they couldn't be bothered with our requests to resubmit medical information. Patients with chronic disease processes deserve compassion, professionalism and kindness. Dr. Fodor offers none of these. She abandoned a patient without cause. I would never recommend her to anyone.

:) Click to report rating    3/5/08 5 4 4 Dr. Fodor is like several other neurologists I have seen--none of them have fabulous communication style (bedside manner). However, Dr. Fodor used our appointment times well, responded constructively to my requests for pain relief and further information about my rather rare condition and was never dismissive or derogatory about my situation. She listened well and we developed a good rapport although she seems by nature rather reserved.

:| Click to report rating    12/25/07 3 3 2 I would not recommend Dr Fodor, she did not tell my why I had to have certain treatments, and when I questioned her she did not react well.

:) Click to report rating    9/27/07 5 5 4 On first visit Dr had no sense of humor or friendly bedside approach. However, on second visit, she addressed my concerns with care and humor. Do not judge on the first visit...

:) Click to report rating    2/9/07 3 3 I felt Dr. Fodor was extremely knowledgeable at least in my specific circumstance (MS) but she tended to treat MS patients, across the board, exactly the same. That cookie cutter approach didn't work well for me as I have a very atypical course of the disease. I agree, as I saw mentioned in another review, that her bedside manner could use improvement. For me she wasn't an ideal physician but I did appreciate that she at least knew what she was doing when I've met many neurologists who do not.

:) Click to report rating    1/31/07 5 4 Dr. Fodor has been excellent Neuro for me. She has done (I believe) all that she can for me. She does not have a bedside manor but that is not important to me. What is important is that she is an ms specialist and I have benefited from her knowledge.

:( Click to report rating    1/16/07 1 1 Dr. Fodor acted as if I was an taking her valuable time. I have MS and she failed to do tests required to confirm this and instead told me I had eplipsy. When I tried to explain my hands shaking and walking problems, she informed me I just should stop having the problem. Generally I would call her hateful and uncaring.

:( Click to report rating    12/19/06 2 1 Doctor gave poor quality care. Cancelled multiple appts. Tests had to be rerun because it took her so long to reply to questions about tests. After the third last minute cancelled appt, I asked for my test results. She had obviously not read them in the eight weeks I had waited. Then sent me a letter firing me from her practice because I had an attitude.
