He is more competent than the average psychiatrist, probably due to averaging the opinion of many psychiatrists from who he has read or learned. He is careful, and a meticulous thinker. I would venture a guess he has a strong, and very grounded, understanding of many other fields as well. I can see a world, in the very near future, where your neighborhood GP is everything but a surgeon, and specialists will fall to few and far between. Kudos, Dr. Sub. | Respond |

He has been my Dr. since being referred by my family Dr. of 28 years and has proven to be a fantastic replacement. Though rushing from patient to patient, I've never felt dismissed by him, nor a lack of concern in any facet. He is the family Dr. for myself, my wife and our boys, and has on two occasions, diagnosed/treated/cured two ailments that my wife and I felt we would need to be referred to a specialist for. In the short few years he has been my Dr., he has astounded me with the wealth of knowledge he can recall instantly. With Dr. Subramanian as my doctor, I have no worries about the future health of myself and my family. | Respond |

Although sometimes you feel rushed he comes across as caring and thorough. The kids always get a sticker at the end of the appointment. You can usually get in the same day or by the next day for an appointment if needed. | Respond |

11/30/10 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Subramanian saved my life. On my first visit he ran a general panel of blood tests and found an abnormal result that had gone undiagnosed for some years. He promptly referred me to a specialist and has followed a strict regime in my healthcare ever since. His caring proactive attitude has made a huge difference in my life and I will always be grateful to him for how he is able to balance the needs of his patients and his busy practice so professionally. He is also my wife's family doctor and is her first male doctor as she always felt uncomfortable however he always makes her feel comfortable and during examinations he always has a female nurse present which also makes her feel better. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Subramanian to anyone. | Respond |

8/25/10 | 1 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I would like to start off by saying that Dr. Sub is an excellent dr. I believe he truely cares about his patients and yes, somestiems he's perhaps stretched thin. I've never felt rushed out of his office ever. I will say the staff they have working at the clinic are COMPLETELY incompetentn and shouldn't be working with people nor with medical issues. They have screwed up a couple referrals on my part and always have an excuse, which is never their fault. They are rude and need to learn customer service. Dr. Sub is lucky he's a good dr. because I would never go back knowing I have to deal with the front end. On a different note, the head nurse at the clinic is amazing, she is helpful, caring and genuine. The could use about 10 others like her!!! | Respond |

7/6/10 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I think Dr. Sub is a good doctor. It's sometimes VERY hard to get through to the front desk staff but if you just keep trying eventually they will pick up. I had a recurring pain in my lower stomach and he was able to determine it was from Restless Legs and prescribed me Pramipexole. Worked like a charm. My restless painful legs are gone and I can finally sleep at night. I have been to a lot of doctors and none of them were able to figure this out. Thanks Dr. Sub! | Respond |

6/20/10 | 3 | 3 | 2 | 2 | Dr. Sub used to be wonderful however seems to be stretched too thin. I have had a very difficult year with my health and made many visits to Dr Sub. I felt rushed every time even when I had to wait nearly a month for my appointment then an extra 1/2 hour in waiting room with baby and no acknowledgement was made by staff or Dr Sub. I hope they lessen the workload at the Doctors office to get back the quality care ad standard he used to give. Dr. Sub seems to go for the 'easy answer' now and diagnosed me incorrectly I think due to rushing through our appointments and becoming frustrated I was not getting better according to his perscribed treatments. I have waited for consult requests for surgery and it was never going anywhere with my old doc. Doctor Sub got it done and fast. He not only cares for the issues but the problems that arise both mentally and physically from your condition. I have many issues with my health currently(being only 45 years old) and new to has been a challenge in calgary.I would highly recommend to anyone in search of a grade A Doctor in the Calgary area Dr. Subramanian.
