I thought the receptionist could be better than what they were and as for the doctor he is verry good at his job. He makes you feel comfortable and relax. He knows what he is doing and I highly recremend him to people. He is also one of the best doctors that I have found. He cleared me of cancer and I thank him for that.

Dr. Awadalla - the best ever, talks to you like your a real person and makes you feel confident in his opinion. He has done a TVT-O bladder procedure with great success. He follows up before and after surgery and in the Office. Nurses at the Victoria love him, from Day Surgery to Observation to the Operating Room, they all speak very highly of him and his thoroughness and caring. I would recommend him to anyone, if you can get to see him, your very lucky.

Alaa isn't my regular OB/Gyn, but he will be now. I was sent to him for a hysterectomy. This man never stops smiling, he is ALWAYS positive, always listens (doesn't always like what he hears, but who does?) I would recommend him to ANYONE. Alaa talks, listens, treats you like a person, not just another patient. When my original procedure didn't go as planned, he switched quickly, did not hesitate and made sure I had the best care afterwards. He saw me in hospital, he sent the resident twice! to check on me. Definatly the BEST Gynecologist I have ever met.

12/13/12 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 3 | Dr. Awadalla was my doctor for my first baby due in November, I did not like having him as a doctor. Overall he is a very good doctor but he likes to talk, a lot. I was always stuck waiting for long periods of time in the waiting room past my scheduled appointment time. At one appointment I waited for over an hour and a half as he chit chatted with friends of his in the waiting room right in front of me. After that it was impossible to make appointments because he was on holiday twice or overbooked. I had to see other doctors in the building (who saw me right away). He was not there for the birth of my daughter. When I went to schedule my 6week check up for mid December they told me that I would have to see my family doctor he was booked until March. Nice guy but good luck actually getting an appointment with him. | Respond |

11/7/12 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I had an AMAZING experience with Dr Awadalla the first time I met him. My appt was at 3:05 pm and didnt get in until 3:45 pm but he was completely worth the wait. My family doctor referred me to him after a horrific life threatening experience from a prior gyno at the Womens Hospital which at 21 I trusted her with a surgery only to have a life threatening condition now at 25. Dr Awadalla took time to ask me about prior experiences, seemed genuinely concerned with my condition now and has scheduled me for surgery Dec 19th 2012 which I am looking forward to. I look forward to my visits with him as he is very pleasant, knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. I would HIGHLY recommend this doctor. He is completely worth the office wait. | Respond |

8/24/12 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Awadalla delivered our daughter 19 months ago and he was an excellent coach in the final minutes when I was exhauseted and felt like I couldnt push properly. He verbally helped me to know what I was doing right in the push and I had struggled for over 2 hours prior to. He was also my doctor regarding some common pre-cancerous cells that developed on my cervix - I have had 3 colposcopies with him and he also performed my LEEP procedure. I'm now completely back to normal. He has an excellent bedside manner and he is thorough. I also feel like I am able to ask him anything. | Respond |

8/9/12 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I consider myself extremely lucky to have Dr.Awadalla as my doctor. I have met many doctor and I can ensure that he's by far the best doctor a woman can have.I had extremely difficult pregnancy, and if it wasn’t for Dr. Awadalla’s care my daughter would not be here today. After several miscarriages,I know that I had a successful pregnancy thanks to him. I also had several complications in the third trimester and postpartum. While many other doctors at St.B triage couldn’t give proper diagnosis(one of them just sent me home, when it turned out to be a serious condition where my unborn baby’s life was at risk!!)Dr. Awadalla did pay attention to my conditions and was able to give correct diagnosis and induce my daughter.I had emergency C section w. another MD, and I ended up with some complications. Dr.A came to check on me on his day off and also called me several times at home to follow up. Thanks to him now I have a beautiful baby at home. The long wait time at the clinic is worthwhile. | Respond |

7/22/12 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | Excellent Doctor! Very thorough, excellent followup and very caring. He took the time to understand my history and concerns, and addressed them while ensuring safe treatment of my medical condition. When it was necessary, he also performed my surgery himself and took the time to meet with me before and after to ensure all concerns were dealt with. The best Dr. I've ever been to see. | Respond |

7/12/12 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I had an excellent experience with Dr. Awadalla yesterday for a gyne consult. There was a short wait, but in line with a doctor's office that takes the time needed with situations that may arise. Dr. Awadalla was considerate, thorough, knowledgeable, thoughtful and empathic. Seeing him to rule out a specific concern, he took the time to think about what my diagnosis might be, not just "what it is not" unlike some other specialists I have seen recently. I sincerely hope he gets all the support necessary to continue this difficult work and to avoid the burnout that can come to those doctors who are highly dedicated to their patients. | Respond |

1/3/12 | 4 | 3 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Awadalla is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met (and I've met a lot being a nurse). A lot of people don't like the wait time in the office, but I would much rather wait for a doctor that will take the time to listen to all your questions and concerns and address them all than have a doctor who rushes to stay on time. Dr. Awadalla seems to love what he does as you never see him without a smile on his face. He is amazing and I hope I can have him as my doctor for all my future pregnancies! | Respond |

3/22/11 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Awadalla was not my regular OBGYN but was on call when I delivered my daughter VBAC. He came into the room with a big smile, had excellent bedside manner and was very confident and reassuring when my labour slowed. He did not rush anything but ensured that we were both safe and that I would be able to deliver VBAC. My daughter was just shy of 10 lbs and he prevented any tears to my pernium. What an amazing doctor and such a nice man in general. I highly recommend him. | Respond |

11/24/10 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I'm so fortunate to have had Dr. Awadalla for my first and repeat c-sections. His bedside manner is remarkable and he's very nice and sincere. My incision is healing beautifully, just as it did the first time and it's a very small, clean cut. I had great birthing experiences both times thanks to this amazing doctor. I hope to see him again in the future, if we decide to expand our family further. | Respond |

10/2/09 | 5 | 2 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Awadalla was absolutely great throughout my pregnancy. It was my first baby and he was very careful to make me feel comfortable and important at EVERY appointment. His sense of humour and kindness was just amazing. He listened to aaalll my questions and never once blew them off! However; he is a very busy man, and the one thing that wasn't so great was waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours.... which happened quite often!! | Respond |

7/21/09 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | My husband and I both feel extremely lucky to have had such a great experience with our 1st baby and we owe it all to Dr. Awadalla. Dr. Awadalla has an absolutely amazing bedside manner making you feel totally comfortable and relaxed in his presence. He is very caring and takes the time to explain absolutely everything. His sense of humor is out of this world, making "painful" situations seem much more tolerable and light. Dr. Awadalla is able to maintain absolute professionalism while making you feel as if you've known him forever. He is the BEST!!! His admin assistant Krista is absolutely amazing as well. She's knowledgable, friendly and on the ball with absolutely everything. The nursing staff who consult with you prior to appiontments in the Doctor's office were all wonderful as well. I could never say enough positive things about Dr. Awadalla, Krista or any of his other staff. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with everyone & again, we're extremely thankful. | Respond |

6/24/09 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Awadalla has been a great ob/gyn for me for the past 3 yrs. During my prenatal he was very open, honest, answered all of my questions, eased any concerns, did all of the extra care I required since my pregnancy was high risk, and was also nice enough to allow my 5 yr son attend every prenatal appt with me and even get him involved (was also going to permit him to be at the delivery as well, but then emergency c-section occured). Dr. Awadalla has always maintained a friendly and comforting demeanor throughout the years and takes the time to get to know me and my family. When problems arose after the birth of my 2nd child, Dr. A has been on the ball to setting up the necessary tests, getting a proper diagnosis and finding an effective treatment that's right for me. Dr. Awadalla's staff are great, and the wait times are quite minimal. I would highly recommend him to any other woman I know!! | Respond |

5/15/09 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Awadalla is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about him. I was in the hospital and he made time to come see me several times- once it was even late at night, because I was out for testing most of the day. He did a procedure which was very delicate and could have been horrible, but he was amazing. Very little pain, and such a great job. I can't say enough good things about him. If you're looking for a doctor with an exceptionally warm manner, who really knows his stuff..I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Awadalla. | Respond |

4/1/09 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | For the first time in many years Dr Awadalla gave me something I haven't had - hope. For many women battling ongoing reproductive issues it is easy to lose hope but after spending 20 minutes with this doctor I felt more hopeful and happy than I have in a very long time. He took the time to explain everything, answer my questions and did it with such compassion and kindness. Heapologized for running late (10 minutes) and let me tease him about his bad handwriting, and a sense of humour sometimes is greatly lacking in the medical field. My exam went smoothly and I think this was also due to his sense of humour (sing songing that he wasn't even in the room so I had no reason to be nervous etc. So silly but it made me laugh!). He also didn't make me feel like he was in a hurry and just wanted to move on to the next person. I will definitely see this doctor again. | Respond |

4/27/08 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I saw Dr.Awadalla for surgery on Oct.20/07 for a ovarian cyst. He came into the prep room before the surgery to tell me what was going to happen and to answer any of my questions. He has the best beside manner. I didn't feel unsure of what he was going to do and each time he spoke to me, at the office or in the hospital,,, he kept telling me that he was going to take care of me like I was one of his best friends. The surgery went well and his office phoned me the next day to see how I was. I didn't feel bad untilt two days after and when I called his office, he returned my call within 30 minutes. He told me that I was doing way to much and to relax and take care of myself. He also gave me his cell numnber so I could call if the light headness continued. I have never been offered a personal cell number before, I felt he was really concerned for me as a person and not just another patient. I would and have recommended him to all my friends who need surgry of this kind. Thank you | Respond |

3/23/08 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | What a wonderful man! I was recently rushed to hospital with abdominal pains. I am 23 year old, from the uk but living in Canada while my family are still back in the UK. Due to the emergency situation I was very afraid and feeling very alone until I was seen by Dr Awadala, He made me feel at ease, he was very helpful and understanding. I felt that I was in safe hands the entire time. He even stayed on past his shift to ensure that he would be the one to operate on me(after going for a nap of course). After a bad experience at a previous hospital Dr Awadala has restored my faith in the Canadian health service. I really hope that one day he will be the one to help deliver any future children. | Respond |

Alaa is truly a man who has found his calling! I was lucky enough to see him throughout my pregnancy and he delivered my son! His bedside manner puts you at ease and his skill is evident. After 33 hours of intense labour (without an epidural), it was reasurring to hear Dr. Awadalla's voice coach me through the pushing phase - my son was born at almost 10 pounds and Dr. Awadalla helped me to not tear!

10/6/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I have seen Dr. Awadalla a few times all positive. This summer I was referred to him from my family doctor and without question he seen me within a week. He was very concerned when he seen my abdomen and I was immediately referred to Dr. Lotocki at the St. Boniface. Dr. Awadalla did a biopsy and I was sent for a CT scan. I know I was lucky to have this doctor with such close connections to the St. B. as after his referral I was seen within a week. After my CT scan result he phoned me and left his private number for me to contact him so he could give me the result. This is a doctor who is very compassionate and caring. Thank you! | Respond |

9/20/07 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | He treats his patients with respect, care and compassion, like how he treats his own family. He is the best doctor I ever had. God bless you, Alaa, and see you at St. Mark's! | Respond |

I had a very BAD experience with this Dr. he was nice at first (with all the appointments) but when it came time to deliver. He said that i was to be induced on friday and monday morning he delivered my baby. My baby was 10 days overdue and only 5 lbs 14 oz when she was born, and he said that it was a concern, that's why he said to induce me on friday. my delivery really dragged on for too long. Long enough that my baby had had her first bowl movement 7 hours before she came out! The nurses were conserned as well because whenever I had a contraction they would loose the baby's heart beat. but the Dr. was no where to be found (this went on for 11 hours). I would not recomend this Dr. to anyone, especially first time moms he really scared me and the rest of my family.

3/16/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I think this Dr. is terrific although I do not remember much of him as he preformed an emergency C-section for me in Oct. and delivered a healthy baby girl for us. I think alot of people forget that Dr's are people too, and they don't always get enough credit for the jobs they perform. I have never had a chance to thank you- so thank you so much!!! We are first time parents, and love it!!! Your a wonderful Dr. | Respond

3/13/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I have extensive experience with multiple pregnancies,c-sections and pregnacy loss, secondary infertility issues. 3/6/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | Absolutely LOVE him. He was a fabulous OB for my second pregnancy, delivered a healthy near term boy. Seemed busy, but DID make time for me and all my questions. (I had them all written down.) Very sensitive, like someone else said, grandfatherly, with a sense of humour. Very accomodating to my requests, I had 2 support people in the OR with me at my Csection, (husband and doula) something they tell you can never happen. (Also asked the anesthetist, your support people sit in HIS space, anyway) Referred me to a NICU doctor to speak with before my birth, to ask them the questions he couldn't answer. I ended up having a fabulous experience, due to him and the rest of my amazing support team. I recommend him to all the people I know who need an OB/GYN. Actually makes me consider having another baby, HA HA! | Respond

3/2/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I only had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Awadalla once during my 3rd and last pregnancy.I found him to be a very warm, kind & caring person.I had told him of my fears of being pregnant as I had lost a baby to still birth & had experienced a few miscarriages * that none of my pregnancies since the still birth were easy for me to deal with in terms of me feeling comfortable & at ease throughout any of my pregnancies. I never felt relaxed with any of my pregnancies & worried the entire 9 months that I'd loose another baby. My regular ob/gyn refused to send me to fetal assessment, when I mentioned this to Dr. Awadalla he said that I must get in to fetal assessment asap.I believe the very next week I was in for my fetal assessment.I just needed that little bit of reassurance that the baby was doing well & growing properly.I never did see Dr. Awadalla again, but from my brief experience with him I have nothing but good to say about him.I would recommend him to anyone. | Respond

2/25/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | He delivered my 2nd child and he was so great that I plan to see him instead of my other obgyn the next time we're expecting. We had complications with the delivery and my husband and I were totally panicked until he walked in and made us feel so relaxed and at ease. Recommend to anyone having a baby. | Respond

2/20/07 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I had a different OB as a doctor, but was lucky to have Dr. Awadalla on call when my daughter was born premature. He was fantastic. He had me laughing, and smiling throughout the entire active labour. He also made sure there was no tearing (although my baby was a month and a bit early, she was almost 8 lbs). He had my husband at ease, and I was very glad to have him with us. I'll be going back to him for the next one too. | Respond

2/17/07 | 2 | 1 | 3 | My experience wasn't so great. I met Dr. Awadella at St. B emerg because of a tubal pregnancy. During the whole 4 week ordeal, between tests, ultrasounds and mega drugs, he was great. After wards, not so great. He didn't want to send me for any kind of test to rule out endometriosis, or cysts, or any cause of the ectopic. After 6 months, still not pregnant again, I went back, because I kept getting pain on the side where I had the ectopic. He told me I had gaz and to go home, and come back in 6 months if I still wasn't pregnant. I felt he wasn't concerned about my pain, nor was he listening to my fears about having another ectopic. I have gone to another obgyn in his clinic and now I am scheduled for laproscopic surgery, to rule out tubal blockage, which this new ob believes I have, because of the pain month to month. Too bad; I liked Dr. Awadella. | Respond
