1/24/11 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 1 | I've been seeing Dr. Kothare for over 2 years and not once has she asked me about my family history, occupation, etc. She has yet to remember my name or past issues that I have come in to see her with. She is consistantly 30-45 mins late for appointments and speaks often of having "too many patients". Her physical exams are not thorough and take approximately 10 mins start to finish. I went to her with dizzyness that had been consistant for a month and she prescribed me a pill....she did not request blood work or search to find the root of the issue. When I last saw her to have my ear flushed out she failed to screw the syringe together properly and the tip shot into my ear causing a laceration. When I stated I was in pain she stated "I didn't do" and accused me of using q-tips in my ears. She hustled out of the room quickly while mumbling she would refer me to a specialist. I did not even know I was bleeding until I removed the cotton ball. Needless to say I have not been back. | Respond |

12/17/10 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I went to Dr. Kothare as a walk-in patient way back approx 10yrs ago when she first started. Her mannerism and genuine care for her patients is what really impressed me. I was a young patient at the time and was getting the run around from several other doctors. She took the time to listen to my concerns and send me for tests, she was very determined to find a solution to my health concerns and eventually found it. I have been her patient ever since and don't anticipate changing doctors until she retires. She is always very friendly and remembers my health history without having to search through my chart and is very approachable. I have referred several family members to her and they are also very happy with her. Since she's opened up her own practice on 5th Ave, she is now "by appointment only" and the wait times have decreased considerably. I always leave her office with confidence in the care that she shows for my health. | Respond |

7/15/10 | 5 | 2 | 1 | 1 | Fed up with this doctor! People get sick on different levels but I guess if you were or are struggling with depression she is not the Doctor to see. I voiced my concerns while she spaced out on the wall..talk about attentive to my needs. Oh well, my fault for returning and thinking that she might change. Needless to say looking for a new physician. I hear she treats people that have professional careers well but as for us little people..your just a skin color or number! Get in, get out kinda deal but she was a medi-clinic doctor? Go figure!! | See Responses |

7/23/08 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | She is rude, lack of patience. She refused to tell us if the fetus is in right size after couple time of ultrasonic test. Within 3 mins, she told us every thing is ok and did not want to answer any questions. Even worse: English is not our fist language. she refused to explain some terms in plain words. We never go back to her. | Respond |

6/2/08 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I have been seeing Dr Kothare for a few years now, since she took over for Dr Adams...I love her and she is an awesome dr. I have had her for 2 pregnancies now. The first one I was a little eerie on her but I did know that she was just doing her schooling, so she was learning too. Therefor, I didn't take it out on her when she missed something or got something wrong because I knew she would correct it, and she did. The second pregnancy she was awesome with. I would reccommend her as a Dr to anyone, the only downfall on her is that she is so popular that her wait time is enormous. But that is what you have to expect to see a good Dr cause everyone wants to see her. Keep up the good work...I don't know what I will do when she retires. | Respond |

4/3/08 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | Terrible terrible doctor. Immediate problem and she will deal with it in SEVEN months from now. FOUR HOUR WAIT. Rude, rude, rude. Refuse to renew prescriptions i have taken for 7 years until i get physical but won't do that for 6 months. | Respond |

11/28/07 | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | I have been a patient of Dr. Kothare's for about 5 years now and I find her to be the best! She actually cares about her patients and will do everything she can to help us. I have quite a complicated medical background and Dr. Kothare did her own research so that she would know how to look after me properly! She is great :) | Respond |

4/4/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | I've been seeing Dr. Kothare for about 7 or 8 years now and her memory for my medical history never ceases to amaze me. She's takes the time to answer questions, has a great bedside manner and really stays on top of things in your file. You do wait a long time to see her, but it's only because she is such a great doctor. | Respond

3/18/07 | 3 | 3 | 5 | I have seen Dr. Kothare for many years, including my last pregnancy. She is usually pretty helpful and kind. She is one to remember her patients, at least I think she does. As far as my pregnancy, issues with her not wanting to refer to OB despite numerous questions for clarification as to why. Throughout the pregnancy, she was very good, thorough, personalble, and the evening appointments worked well with my husband and my schedule. People tell me you may wait hours for an OB as well, so what difference does one hour made waiting at the walk-in clinic. Followup with baby was good too. I would just recommend the OB referral, push for it. The RGH was not happy she did not refer me to an OB as I had a C-Sec previously; she had not requested my documents from out of province. Due date was wrong; she will change the date according ot ultrasound, the hospital goes by your last period. Stick with the first date. Other than that, I would strongly recommend her!!! | Respond

3/10/07 | 3 | 1 | 2 | Me and my boyfriend have chosen Dr. Kothare, to be our family doc. and I am now almost 5 months pregnant, well so she tells me, I think that I am not that far along. She seems like she doesn't have the time to talk to us when we see her.She has said some very negative comments towards myself, witch puts me in a very upset mood. Don't get me wrong she is a very nice lady, but I don't think she should be working in this field. | Respond

3/9/07 | 4 | 1 | 1 | I had gone to Dr. Kothare for several years and through two pregnancies. I quit going to her for several reasons, waiting time was not one of them. Also, if you are looking for a doctor who has nice bedside manner I would recommend her. I found Dr. Kothare to not be thorough when evaluating my health. When I scheduled my physicals only a pap, blood pressure and minimal blood/urine work was done. I wanted more detailed care such as breast exams, blood work for other common ailments, etc. My pregnancy drew a lot of concerns for me. I had to ask her to start a file for my pregnancy which should have been started when the pregnancy test was done 2-3 months prior. She did not begin weighing me until I was almost six months pregnant and she continuously ignored the fact that she had my due date wrong (she insisted I was 4 weeks less pregnant than I was which meant I was not referred to a specialist with sufficient time between first visit and delivery | Respond

2/28/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | I have seen Dr. Kothare now for about 4 years. I did stop seeing her for a bit as I found sitting in the waiting room was too long sometimes. But I have now gone back to her. She is very caring, great with my kids, friendly, and great bed side manor. I wish you could make appointments with her, but sometimes the wait isnt so bad, as you know you are going to be looked after when she does see you. Would recommend her to all. | Respond

2/21/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | I was in the market for a new Dr & after reading everyone's opinion of her I'd thought I would try. Great first impression. She answered every question I had. She was very friendly and open to answer a few questions I had about her experience and abilities. I checked in as a walk-in patient at 12:30 they said it would be about 3 hour wait and they recommended to come back in 3 hrs. After I returned at 3:30 I only waited 10 minutes before seeing her. The system might not be ideal, but I can work around it. I tried three other Doctors since my visit with Dr Kothare... and now Im happy to say I had my patient file transfered to her. | Respond

2/16/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | I have been seeing Dr. Kothare since i was pregnant with my oldest daughter (who will be 7 in September) she is an excellent doctor and well worth the waiting time in the waiting room just to see her. She is great with me and my 3 children. Could not imagine seeing anyone else. | Respond

2/13/07 | 3 | 1 | 1 | I went to her a few times and she didn't listen to me well and never diagnosed me properly. I went to a different doctor after and he diagnosed me properly right away. | Respond

1/30/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | I have found Dr. Kothare to be very approachable and helpful. Although you have to wait 2 hours to see her she always has time for you once you are in her office. She is very thorough and willing to help you in any way she can rather than automatically trying to push pills down your throat. Even if you ask for a refill on a prescription you have had for years she will ask you how it is working for you and ask if there have been any complications from it. | Respond
|
1/30/07 | 4 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Kothare is an great doctor. It never seems to matter how busy her office is, she takes her time with you and doesn't try to rush you out to move on to the next patient. It is obvious what a good doctor she is by seeing the number of people in the office waiting to see her. | Respond

1/17/07 | 3 | 5 | 5 | Dr.Kothare has always taken my requests seriously. She relays genuine concern for my health. | Respond
|
1/17/07 | 2 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Kothare operates a very busy office but once you are in her company, she is intuitive, attentive and caring. I have recommended her to several other people as a family physician. | Respond
|
1/2/07 | 1 | 5 | 5 | Very knowledgable and willing to talk about your problems. Excellent bedside manner. Clinic she works with however is walk-in and because she is in high demand - there is usually a 2 hour wait for any thing- Unfortunatelly the reason I chose to go to another general practioner | Respond
|
12/11/06 | 4 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Kothare is caring, and also will refer to a specialist if she feels that is necessary. She has to ability to listen and sort out problems. | Respond |
