I found Ruth to be very degrading when it came to me be overweight! After having my daughter I gained 40lb and was very self concious and would have to get on the scale to weigh my daughter. I dredded every time i had to go there because each time she would come out and tell me I was fat, and was double the size I should be. she once told me that I needed to loose over 100lb if I did that I would weight 89 pounds!!! thats healthy!! I also had questions about the MMR needle due to a family member having autism, she told me that by not getting it my daughter could get the measles and cause a pregnant womens baby to be deaf, blind and DUMB and RETARTED! yes thats right RETARTED not handycapped! I havent been back sense! I dont recomend her to anyone that can think for them selves or is over weight!!!

She is a friendly doctor and cares but more about the children than the adults. I have found that although I don't have a weight issue that she contributes any problems to smoking. Some may be, but not all. Also never get an iud put in there as mine was misplaced and painful which caused bladder infections and an ectopic pregnancy.

Dr. Ruth Ingersoll does know here medicine, too bad she didn't have more compassion and empathy for her patients. I have to agree with other comments of patients who said she is very caught up in weight issues, not because she cares but because she is so about image. She is very condescending when you are trying to explain what your problem is, her attitude is, I am the dr. not you, but hey, its my body and I know how I feel and that something is wrong. Not good at following up with your tests that were done. Sometimes you don't even get the results unless you call the office and suggest an appt. If I could get another dr. I would leave her practice in a heartbeat.

Dr. Ruth Ingersoll has the potencial of being an excellent doctor. She is very knowledgeable and she cares abot her patients. However, I would like for her to lay off my weight problem. I know I am fat, I don't need her to tell me I am fat, again: I know!!! Not all my problems are related to my weight. I wish she would listen more instead of only seing my weight problem

I have been a patient of Dr Ingresoll for 13 years, She is the best. She does not beat around the bush, she tells it how it is. I value and trust her opinions and suggestions. When I was in the hospital having my son she was in for business and stopped up to visit me and see him! not every doctor does that! I dread the day that she retires! :(

Dr. Ingersoll is friendly, efficient and knowlegeable. I appreciate the fact that she is always running on time but I never feel like she is rushing me. A great doctor!

Ruth is an amazing Dr. Iam overweight and she has concerns about this as would any caring Dr. but not to the point where someone said she insults overweight people. Im have never had any issue like that. She doe's not brush aside any ailaments I have and she always is very positive and recommends nothing but the best. I am lucky to have a Dr. like her and Judy the Medical Receptionist is also ranked very highly and is helpful also.

Dr.Ingersoll is an excellent doctor. I can always get in to see her at a moments notice. She always listens to problems etc.. & does something about them. She takes her time with the her patients & has shown compassion to them. Hats off to Judy too...an excellent receptionist.

She has been my Doctor for 12 years She is kind and caring and an excellent Doctor. She does not over book so she can take her time with each appointment. She listens to your concerns and acts on them. She always is professional and understanding of your needs. If you need referrals she acts on them immediately without delay. She is number one in my books

She's the best - friends and family are always asking if she's taking new patients. I never have to wait long - to get an appointment - or in her waiting room.

I have been going to Ruth for about 15 years. I find her to be kind, concerned and thorough. She has gone through a lot with me and supported me when I needed her. I wish that she never had to retire. It will be a sad day when the medical community loses her. She is a great GP.

Dr. Ingersoll Rocks! She is smart, conscientious, dependable, punctual, energetic, available, interested, very personable and gives her full attention to your condition. I am very grateful that she is my physician. Her secretary Judy is also great; very pleasant and will always find you an opening within a couple of days. A winning combination!

Only call doctor when I really need her and to get new prescriptions. Usually get in the next day. I call this excellent service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ingersoll for over 10 years and she is a great doctor and is always able to squeeze me in! Listens well and makes me feel comfortable. I am happy I was able to get into a female doctor but even luckier I got in with her.

I am an overweight patient of Dr Ingersoll and she has never contributed any of my problems with being overweight. We have discussed this as a potential health issue but she has never made me feel like I am recieving inadequate care because of my weight. In fact when I was 38 I found a breast lump and she had me scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram the next day...unfortunately it was breast cancer but the care I received from Dr. Ingersoll was second to none. I have heard so many horror stories from young women who found a breast lump and their doctors brushed it off saying they were too young to have breast cancer...unfortunately most of these cases have turned out to be cancer. I am so thankful to have a doctor like Dr. Ingersoll she is always so helpful and will bend over backwards to accomodate and help out her patients.

I would not say that Dr. Ingersoll is not knowledgeable but she has an obsession with people being overweight that keeps her from being a good doctor. If you are 10 lbs overweight or 60 lbs overweight she will not listen to anything you have to say. She brushes you off and does not address the reason that you have come to see her. She focuses on peoples weight and is very judgemental off overweight people and jumps to conclusions about people. Overweight people know that they are overweight and do not need to be told everytime that they go to the doctor that they are fat....yes she used those words. She also told me to lay off the twinkies ......I have never eaten a twinkie in my life. I have since found a new doctor who listens to me when I am sick and does not attribute everything to my weight. Thank God I do not have to take that abuse anymore...I feel really bad for her patients.

Dr. Ingersoll doesnt try to rush you out of the office she really cares about your well being.She listens to you and explains things that are easy to understand.Judy is really good at getting me in with short notice.

Ruth is an excellent doctor who really cares about her patients. She is very attentive and thorough. Plus, she tells you like it is. Staright to the point. She exceeds all expectations.

especially with my children this doctor is always able to find an opening quickly. she is humble enough to refer to a specialist when she wants to be sure about the treatment her patients receive.

Dr.Ingersoll is a gem. She always greets you with a smile and shows genuine concern whenever you come to visit. She takes the time to address your concerns and always checks your chart for previous conditions/visits. It's like a yearly check up every visit.

Dr Ingersoll is wonderful. Always helpful and caring. She takes time to talk and makes sure you understand. As far as I'm concerned she saved my life, I had gone 3 yrs with chronic pain while with another physician. Dr Ingersoll helped me work through different options until a solution was found. She is easy to talk to and no question or concern is ever trivialized.
