My son and I have been patients of Dr. Clarke since she began her practice. She is the best. She is thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate, and is very respectful of questions and concerns, taking time to address them. She is appropriately friendly and the support staff at her office and the Cancer clinic are topnotch.

She refused to see my 13-year old daughter who has several recurrent skin problems in two years. Dr. Clarke said it had been a year since her referal from our GP. Yet, after visiting our GP the same day (April 6/09), we discovered that not only were we under the year deadline - my daughter saw Dr. Clarke in early April, 2008- but also, in a letter to our GP folloring that appointment, Dr. Clarke said we should notify her if the problem recurred. We did... but no go. We were told today we'd need a new referral (not a problem - it's on its way) ... and that the earliest appointment was August/09. Go elsewhere. There is no feeling here.

She does appear to be knowledgeable, however I must agree with the comments about her lack of personality. She does come across as having no compassion, and I have left her office more then once crying because of her lack of compassion to my chronic skin condition that often effects my face. I really hoped that she would understand that a skin condition that effects your face requires more then a prescription-she needs to show some understanding and empathy to her patients. I have been seeing her for a few years and continue to go just because she is a dermatologist and to see another would mean a long wait.

Make no mistake, when you are in the presence of Dr. Gillian Clarke it is an AUDIENCE with a higher authority and NOT a give-and-take medical appointment. Most discussion about my treatment for a chronic skin condition was one-sided with her telling me just who writes the prescriptions and just who is the doctor and who is the patient. She is patronizing, incredibly condescending and has all the personality of a cardboard cutout. Thank Heavens there is more of a choice in dermatologists here than there has been. My present dermatologist has discovered (via biopsy) that I don’t have the disease that I have been treated for all these years.

Dr. Clarke needs to cut back on Botox so that she can make facial expressions. She comes accross as bored, stern and uncaring and might actually not be able to smile. She makes no effort to get to know her patients and seems uninterested in how her treatments and recommendations might affect normal people who have jobs, families, etc... Her office layout is offputting: when she goes into her office to write a perscriptions/look something up, you're left in a sterile exam room with no windows and nothing to read (I've waited 10 minutes there, just sitting and breathing.). This made me lose confidence and feel like even less a part of my own care. Competent, yes, but Dr. Clarke needs to learn people skills.

Dr Clarke sees my daughters, one of them since she was 14 days old. She always treats them and me with kindness. She treats us with respect and patience, expecially when dealling with very young children. Kudos to her!

I found Dr. clarke to be very conscientous and thorough, in trying to find the cause of a skin rash. She was very accomodating, at that time, and I would only have good things to say about her.

Dr. Clarke has zero compassion for her clients. She came across very snotty and seemed annoyed with having to see me. She knows her stuff but she needs to combine that with some people skills inorder for me to ever return to her.

Prompt and very knowledgeable. Any referrals are are prompt with short wait times. Leaves nothing to chance and follows up personally with test results, etc. Service at her Clinic is the best I've ever encountered.

Have had a number of problems, that I have needed treatment for. Find her very knowledgeable and her diagnosis have been completely accurate. She always seems to back her opinion up with a biopsy to confirm her diagnosis, which I do like. It seems hard to get the first appointment but after that the follow-up care is excellent.
