I found that a few times she was dismissive of symptoms I had that really should have been checked out because they indicated my previous medical conditions were possibly getting worse (she didn't even want to see me those times and didn't refer me either), and in other cases she completely overreacted to other symptoms that while they did require investigation, I felt like she went over the top. I need someone more even handed and I dont like how she totally freaks *you* out if there is something that needs further investigation.

I love Dr. Linda and find her very attentive and helpful, however I find her staff to be extremely rude and unhelpful. I also can find them to invade my privacy often asking very specific health related questions on the phone, when I simply want Dr. Linda to call me. Also, be prepared to have to wait months to get an appointment. I just called to schedule my annual and will have to wait 3 months before getting in.

Dr. Linda is the best doctor I have ever seen and she far exceeds most of the doctors I have seen in DC. I am 59 and have had breast cancer, and Corhn's disease. She saved my life by calling me and insisting that I go to the emergency room after many days of vomiting and worse. I was in two different hospitals for almost four months with virtually no time out of the hosptial as I could keep fluids down. When I finally agreed to go to the hospital my heart has gone into an abnormal rhythum and they had cardiologist waiting when I came in from the ambulane. As it turns out she contacted my gastroenterology practive many times to tell them that I had lost over 80 pounds in a few months. Finally I was diagnosed wiht Corhns and intestinal bowel disease. If not for her I may have never been diagnosed properly or it might have strecthed out longer. As it was it was devastating and debilitating but she did not stop and refused to give up on me until we got a diagnosis and a treatment plan. S

Dr. Linda made three follow up calls in one day to make sure I was alright. I never had a doctor do that before. She is the best!

On entering her office I found the staff not only unhelpful, but annoyed. I would not recommend her. After a routine bloodtest, when I had told her that I was an anxious person she told me results that scared me. I insisted on retaking the blood work prior to going to specialists she was recommending. The tests came back normal which happens to me from time to time- where the blood draw for some reason at first is abnormal. I cancelled the specialist appointment. When I was to come for a physical the only instruction I was given by voice mail was not to eat after midnight. To clarify I did call her office a few times to ask if that meant food and liquid and if I could take my medications. She left a rather rude voice mail saying that I had called too many times about routine blood work and that although she knew that I was anxious, that this was unacceptable and that her office manager had even complained. I cancelled appointment- found wonderful internist-Dr.John Dooley.

I have been seeing Doctor Linda for 5 years and she is by far the best doctor I have ever had. She takes her time and treats you with respect. Always returns calls and calls back any test results. She often will call after 7pm and on weekends. If she is not your doctor you are missing out...

Dr. Linda has been my doctor for 2 years. She is extremely thoughtful and caring - always asking about my life outside of my acute medical issue. She has always been on time, and promptly calls me back with my lab results within a few days. She seems extremely knowledgable about medicine, frequently quoting recent medical literature. A friend of mine was in residency with her, and said she got multiple awards including being asked to be chief resident. All in all, I really enjoy having her as my doctor and always feel better when I leave her office.

She is the best doctor that I have ever had. She is approachable, extremely thorough, and has a knack for explaining practical steps needed to lead a healthier lifestyle. There are multiple individuals who are patients of Dr. Linda or are trying to become patients of Dr. Linda who share the samle opinion. I have heard nothing but praise from others for her knowledge and helpfulness.

Top-notch doc who actually returns calls within a reasonable amount of time and is on time. She is VERY thorough so be prepared to take a number of tests and labs. It was well worth the six month wait to get an appt. Office is clean and very family oriented. (Her mom is the nurse! :-) She knows her stuff!

Fantastic doctor. She went through my entire medical history on our first appointment, ran tests, and gave nutrition/diet advice. She even calls after hours to give results! She's great!!

Dr. Linda is great! I was late arriving for my first appointment and as I was signing in, this young woman appeared and took the papers i was to complete. She ushered me into an office and SHE completed the forms. I must have missed her name as she approached me. i was shocked to see that SHE indeed was the Doctor! She is friendly, caring, interested in her patient and she listens to waht you have to say. She is very thorough. She has also called as follow ups on results of various tests she ordered and even reminded me to have a test done. She is very professional and i will be back to see her again. She is an asset to the medical profession!

After visiting several doctors in the downtown DC area, and being quite disappointed with each, a coworker referred me to Dr. Linda. I am so glad she did! She actually takes the time to listen to concerns, discuss any issues, etc without making the patient feel like she needs to run off to another appointment. The other thing that I love about this practice is that when you truly are sick they will fit you in! I used to go to a doctor where they wouldn't see sick patients-- they literally referred them to the urgent care! There was even an instance when I was so sick that the doctor spoke to me over the phone, discussed the symptoms, and simply called in a prescription because I was TOO sick to leave home, go to the office, etc. It was like small town family practice service in the big city. Thank you Dr. Assatourians!

Dr. Linda is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. I'm a recent college graduate and was very nervous about finding a "good" doctor in the District. Dr. Linda was not only an extremely thorough doctor, she made me feel comfortable like I could tell her anything. I would recommend her to anyone.

Had a very positive first visit with Dr. Linda. Love the fact that SHE took my medical history. I also appreciated meeting with her prior to the exam. I am glad to be going to a real professional instead of a practice that herds us like cows.

My previous insurance (BCBS) was accepted by Dr. Assatourians and even though my new insurance is not (yet) accepted at by Dr. Linda, I still go and pay out of pocket. She is extremely thorough and often follows-up by calling me on the weekends and evenings. Before almost every appointment we go into her office and talk about why I am there / what's wrong -- it's very nice to actually talk while still dressed.

Dr. Linda is a terrific doctor -- she is caring, professional, thorough, and makes an effort to refer to specialists when needed. I am happy to have her as my internist -- the best I've had.

I can trust that Dr. Linda will give my medical needs her full attention and will consult other physician's if necessary. I appreciate that when I go in for tests, she follows-up over the phone with the results and answers all of my questions - never making me feel as if she is in a rush.

I've never had a physician that made me feel as "listened to" as dr. linda assatourians. She spent time before our first visit with me just talking in her office about my med history, any concerns i have. She proactively ordered tests due to some problems in my past which no doctor ever suggested
