I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Donaldson. He is knowledgeable, kind, patient, understanding and never, ever rushes you out of the examination room. Our whole family has been with Dr. Donaldson since he took over from Dr. Morrison. Don't know what we would do without him.

Possibly the best diagnostician ever. Dr. Donaldson is a thinker and I believe loves being a family physician. He is a gentlemen, scholar and one of this country's greatest unsung heros.

I really don't know what we are going to do if Ran retires. You just can't go Ran, sorry. We have the utmost respect and confidence in Ran and trust his judgement in diagnosis and he is a great listener. I always feel better when I leave his office than when I arrived. He is my medicine. Thanks for being such a good student in Medical School and becoming the best doctor ever !!

WOw...Dr.Donaldson is hands down the best doctor I have ever had contact with...as a patient he speaks to you in a kind way, speaks in details that you are comfortable with and does not let you leave until you are comfortable with what you spoke about. He is not a "pill pusher" and I LOVE that about him...as a nurse I encounter a lot of doctors but I can honestly say Dr.Donaldson is the kindest, most intelligent physician I have ever spoken to. He truly cares.

My daughter, partner and I are all Ran's patients. I was a patient of Dr. Morrison's from age 11, and after he died, Ran took his practice. He has always been friendly,helpful, humourous and caring, and we all love him.

I've been a patient of Dr. D's since he took over for Dr. Morrison. What 25 years ago?? It's got to be close to that! He is a true family doctor... my mom, dad, brother, husband, and daughter all see Dr. D. He has a great bedside manner, is funny, intelligent and helpful. And his office is run more efficiently than any I've seen before...thanks to Cheryl! If Dr. Donaldon where taking patients, I would recommend him to everyone I know because everyone deserves health care from a doctor who is as patient and as kind as he is.

My husband and I have been with Ran since he took over from Dr. Morrison and have the upmost of respect for him. He is without a doubt the best physician anyone could ever imagine. He truly cares about his patients and their well-being. I work in the health care profession and hear nothing but positive comments from his patients and other physicians.

I miss you Ran, wish there were doctors like you in Ontario. I respected your opinions, your diagnosis, and all the information related between the two of us. I never had to wait in his office, he is very punctual, but he gave me all the time that was needed for each visit. I miss you too Cheryl, you are the best assistant a doctor could have.

There is no other doctor who listens to you the same way and makes you feel like her really cares about your healthand well being. He has a way of getting thru a waiting room full of patients without ever making you feel rushed. Doctor for my parents as well and we have always trusted him and considered Dr Donaldson and Cheryl as close as family.

He took over from Dr. Morrison. Ran took such wonderful care of my Mom who had one of the worst types of MS going and made her life as enjoyable as he could. He is my doctor and I will have none other. He is the best of the best. He listens and finds out what in your life could be contributing to your medical problems. He knows you on a personal and professional level, and never talks down to you and explains everything thoroughly. His patients think the world of him and his highly trained, personable receptionist, Cheryl. An extremely intelligent, kind Doctor.

I have also been with Dr. Donaldson since he took over Dr Morrisons practice (I was just a kid) I quickly warmed up to him. How can you not he is amazing! I agree he does not give out meds unless they are needed and I respect and admire that. He does get to know his patients on a personal and well as professional level and we are all very lucky to have him. I am very thankful and honoured to be one of his patients :)

I am writing this on behalf of my Mom. Mom has know Ran since he was a very young boy being neighbours up Island. He calls Mom his "South Island" Mom. Ran has been Mom's doctor for more than 25 years and she just loves him. He has always been so helpful, caring, so knowledgeable and not afraid to send you to see a specialist and he doesn't give any medication that you don't require. A year and a half ago our families world came crashing down around us when Mom had a devestating stroke...how life changes in a moment. Ran was there the first weekend that Mom was in the hospital and many times after. He has also been just wonderful with myself and my family with adressing our concerns about Mom and the effects of the stroke. I can not say enough good things about this wonderful man, he is just awesome and we are so grateful that he is Mom's doctor. A big thanks to Cheryl also for the caring and wonderful job she does.

Ran has been my GP for 20 yrs or so and I have always been impressed with him and Cheryl. He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. And he's always good at remembering personal and family history. He's very sensitive and listens to any issues or concerns you might have. He also takes the time to get to know a patient -- especially if things like their job or personal issues may be causing medical problems. He tries to avoid prescribing pills unless it's really necessary. He never hesitates to send you to a specialist or get tests taken if he can't diagnose the situation himself. Anytime I or any of my family members have ever called for an appointment they have quickly accomodated us within a day or two. He's seldom late but if he is you know it's because another patient needed a bit of extra time. A very nice doctor indeed and ANYBODY I've ever spoken to about him ALWAYS has nothing but great things to say...even other doctors! What will we do when he retires one day??!!!

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Donaldson for 22 years. He is very active in the comunity, speeks at the University of Victoria and visits patients in the hosiptal after work. We have recommended him to our friends to whom he has taken on, but he is now too busy to take on others I understand.he deserves top honours in my book.

Ran has been my doctor for 23 years now, and I find him to be knowledgeable, helpful and very professional, while also being there for me on a friendly/compassionate basis when needed. He's got it all. Highly recommend him.
