En plus d’être un excellent docteur, le Dr Monton est humainement exceptionnel. Il fait partie de ceux que l’on appelle GRAND. Il prend TOUT le temps nécessaire pour chacune de ses patientes (l’attente pour son rdv devient alors justifiée). Il sait utiliser les mots adéquats pour faire que l’on se sente bien en toutes circonstances. Tout au long de ma grossesse, nous avons, le Dr Monton, mon mari et moi-même beaucoup rit ! Il a un grand sens de l’humour ! Sans lui, notre fille ne serait pas là. Il nous a accompagné dans tous les examens, tests… et a toujours su trouver les mots pour que nous gardions confiance. Résultat : notre fille est née en janvier dernier ! Je ne le remercierai jamais assez. Je me considère extrêmement chanceuse de l’avoir croisé sur ma route. Dommage que l’on doive aller chez le gyneco une fois par an seulement ! Quant à Maria, elle est tout aussi fantastique : disponible, agréable et serviable (sauf pour celles qui lui parlent mal ! Et elle a bien raison !).

What good quality should we start with first. I have been blessed to have the best dr in the world. he delivered my baby in January and let me tell you that the men is the best dr and coach you can have. My daughter was born within 45 min.

Such a kind and sympathetic doctor! He has a great sense of humour too, and genuinely wants the best for his patients. He has respect for the issues of womanhood despite the fact that he is a man. He would rather be seeing patients than doing paperwork, and he follows up on every test and referral. I only wish he had been there to deliver my daughter, I was in agony and terrified. If he had been there I could have stopped worrying and just coped with the pain!The secretary was nothing but nice to me and always fit me in when I was in crisis during my pregnancy, but there is no voice mail, and you cannot email anything. It is almost impossible to get an appointment by phone. And until recently, it was around 3 hours wait even if I had an appointment. It is getting better, I think they are over-scheduling less now.

The best doctor I have ever met all my life. He makes sure that everything is fine and well understood. Although he is slightly busy but when you get to see him you come out with no worries.He was my wife's doctor for our first baby. My wife delivered without any problem even when there were some issues in the beginning of the pregnancy and also at the end where he had to do a C-Section. Dr Monton is so dedicated that 3 days before Christmas he made sure we were not worried and even visited us twice in the room. I do not know how to thank him , maybe always wish the best for him and his family. He is the best..

What can I say about Dr. Monton! Words cannot describe this unique doctor. He is truly a remarkable physician and a dedicated doctor who devotes his life to his practice. If it were not for Dr. Monton, I would not have my son today. Dr. Monton caught several complications that made my pregnancy very high risk. Dr. Monton takes all the time that you need at appointment and is very thorough. As a result, waiting times are very long- but I know that if I need to spend an hour with him, he will take all the time that I need. Any doctor's office today has a long wait. Dr. Monton not only treats and diagnoses his patients, he truly cares about them. I will forever be indebted to this man because he is human first and foremost and through his care, he gave me my family. I just wish that he was taking on a few new patients to take on my sisters and mother!

Gosh the best Dr on this earth. There is no other Dr Monton. I too have always looked fwd to seeing him. During pregnancy I used to see him often and since I have delived me and my husband have been having Dr Monton withdrawl :o))). He is funny, really chillaxed, very accurate to his words. He is a real gentleman and does help you with every bit he can. I want to get pregnant again just to see him again lol.

Dr. Monton is the only DR I have and will ever trust. I came to him for our second child, as our first OB/GYN was a real prize. He always gives eye contact when talking to you, making you feel like his only patient, eventhough his waiting room is full to the brim. He also extends a hand to help you get off the exam table. A real gentleman and DR - wish there were more like him. He's also VERY EASY on the eyes - just ask any of his patients and they will sigh knowingly :) Note it takes 6+ months to get an appointment for a routine OB/GYN checkup so book way in advance.

Thanks to Dr. Monton's ongoing support, I made it through a very frustrating and difficult pregnancy. There was nothing to do except stay on bed rest and wait. Dr. Monton's daily visits in the last 4 months kept my moral up. A small gesture such as taking 2 minutes out of his day to check on his patient made a world of a difference to me. All OBGYNs should strive to be more like Dr. Monton. He's kind, professional, very knowledgeable and has excellent communication skills. The waiting room in his office can be long but I don't know anywhere that isn't nowadays and I would gladly wait hours to receive the quality care from him.

Have not met the Doctor yet but from the treament given to me by his secretary I want to give them a big thank you. She was great on the phone understood the criticality of getting my wife checked before she reaches 12 weeks. (she is 8 weeks into her pregnancy already). I already haveadmiration for his tteam and I am sure the doctor will be as good as his team..

Dr. Monton has the best "bedside manner" of all the doctor's I have seen. He is the warmest and kindest doctor around. Although waiting for your appointment could take hours, you can be sure that he will spend as much time as needed to answer all your questions. He also has a great sense of humour! Great doctor!

I agree with the comments above. Dr. Monton is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. I was so comfortable when I was in the examining room and he explained my problem in great detail. He was very gentle during the examination and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Monton is the greatest doctor ever. He is warm, caring and was a savior during my wife's delivery. Like an angel from heaven, he did everything right and lifted a huge weight from my shoulders.

I heard about Dr. Monton and called up for an appointment. His RN was the most rude lady I had ever spoken with. Once I got to his office, I waited 2 hours to see him. He never even acknowledged my husband's questions when he asked them after the doctor told us we were going to be parents for the first time. Although he knows alot, I don't feel 100% comfortable with him because he is so cold.

Dr. Monton always make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I've been to any gynoand he made me feel cheap and didn't care if he hurt me or not. Dr. Monton is the complete opposite...he's caring, respectful and answers any questions you may have, I'd recommend him to anyone....Dr. Monton rocks!

Dr. Monton is the most amazing doctor ever! He has been my obstetrian for almost 10 years. He was there for all 4 of my childrens births. He took such good care of me and my babies during my pregnancies and even after. His bedside manner, knowledge and expertise are second to none! Being an obstretrian/gynecologist is definitely is calling!

LUV HIM! Dr. Monton is wonderful!!!!! A pregnant woman's dream! I chose him to deliver my 3rd daughter and I was 100% pleased with my care. It was my 3rd c-section and it was the most stress-free and the fastest recovery. I wish he could be my GP too.

Dr. Monton has been my Gyno, for the past 18 years.. He is totally devoted to his patients., very professional, caring, and patient. Dr. Monton is in a class by himself as a doctor. On a scale of 1 to 5, he deserves a 10. I have to agree with the lady who wrote “ If there were an Order of Canada for a Gyno, he should receive it.” I am truly blessed to say he is my doctor.

As everyone else has mentioned, he's without question the best Doctor in Montreal. His dedication to his patients is extraordinary. If there were an Order of Canada for a Gyno, he should receive it. He is very skilled and knowledgeable but at the same time extremely compassionate.

A star amongst doctors - he is calm, professional, kind, caring, funny, and has delivered both our wonderful girls (one of whom might not be with us today were it not for him. As for puntuality, well, babies don't always come on time, so I doubt there is an ob around who will always be available when needed. We feel very lucky to have him as our doctor.

I must admit I agree with other reviews. He is extremely busy ad as such not always on time. However his compassion, his patience, his human approach, his impeccable bedside manners and his extensive willingness to make a difference , make him the best Doctor I have ever met. I feel very lucky.

Blessed are those to have the most handsome and caring Doctor. Everyone should have a Doctor like him however so few exist. After having three miscarriages, he was the only Doctor to take the time to get to the bottom of my troubles. He's the best!!

Dr. Monton is the most knowledgeable and most caring gynecologist I have ever met. I had problems during my first pregnancy and was seen by a different doctor who kept telling me that everything was normal (even though I knew it was not). Finally, I was referred to Dr. Monton by a friend and I attribute both mine and my baby's health to him. He changed my medications, ordered different tests and took the time to listen to my story and answer all of my questions. He is always very professional, courteous and caring. His office is extremely busy but no matter how many people are waiting, he takes his time and focuses all of his attention on you. I wish there were more doctors like Dr. Monton.

I agree with all the other comments made. Dr Monton is the kindest, most patient and most helpful physcian I have encountered. After going through three great pregnancies (though unfortunately only one delivery)with him, I am actually suffering from Dr. Monton withdrawl! There is no other annual appointment I look forward to as much as my annual pap smear!

What woman will believe you love your gyno? No woman unless they have dr. Monton. Let's face it; we hate the proceedure. But Dr. Monton is like no other dr. I've ever met. I am so lucky to have him. He's attentive, considerate, funny and has bed side manners that are like no one else. I have tremendous respect for him. With all his long hours, I've yet to see him rush me out of his office or in a bad mood. He always takes his time. Calls you back when you had a question. Reassures you. Remembers your last visit and concerns. He's incredible. My sister has him too, and so does my best friend. and when one of us goes see him, we call each other to talk about our visit with him. We always finish the conversation with "he's so great" ...bless him. He's truly a wonderful doctor and the most humble man i've ever met.

I went to Dr. Monton for my first annual check up when I was 25(not so young but I was scared of the whole process). Not only did he explain everything he was doing, he made me feel comfortable and at ease. Now 7 years later and after the birth of my first child, I respect and admire Dr. Monton even more. His bedside manner is incredible, his patience never ending, he is funny, truly the best there is! I consider myself lucky and fortunate to have him as my doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Monton after having a miscarriage due to over 6 weeks of continuous bleeding that was not followed up with my previous obgyn. I was 42 when I got pregnant again(three months after my miscarriage) and the bleeding began again. Dr. Monton took me on even when, at the time, he was overloaded with a whole bunch of new patients from another doctor who had retired. He immediately reassured me and took care of me and made me stop working the same day. I had my baby two weeks short of my 43rd birthday. What can I say? Dr. Monton for me is the best doctor anyone could hope for. I repeatedly told him that if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have my wonderful daughter today. He is so modest and humble he never wanted to take the credit. I know otherwise. If I could have I would have given him anything, as I felt he truly deserved it. As I said to him, he will always have a spot in my heart for what he did for me.Truly a super human being - caring, compansionnate & funny.

Absolutely the best doctor in Montreal. Although he is rarely on time, once you are in his office you would never know. He takes his time, makes sure all your questions are answered, makes you feel like, at this very instant, you are his only worry. He is an exceptional physician.

Dr. Monton has taken care of my well-being for over 25 years. During the dreaded annual "gyno" appointment, he manages to make you feel comfortable and important. You never feel rushed, and waiting to see him is the result, but is tolerable knowing he will spend just as much time with you. He's truly the best!!!

Dr. Monton has been my doctor for the past 16 years. He saw me through a miscarriage due to an amniocentesis (that was performed by another doctor), the loss of another pregnancy at 7 weeks and the successful delivery of my son 4 years ago. He is compassionate, sensitive, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely the best gyn/ob around.

Luis, as he calls himself, is the best Dr I have ever met. Being a Dr is definitly his calling. He has been my Dr for the last 17 yrs and I recently had the honor of having a son which he performed the C-section on. I had complications during my pregnancy which caused me to be hospitalized. Dr Monton came to see me every morning while I was in the hospital and called to check up on my status after I was released. During my stay in the hospital after my delivery, he also came every morning to see on my recovery.

Dr. Monton has been my gyno for at least 15 years. He has fabulous bedside manner, is helpful, thorough and always concerned about your overall health as a human being and not just concerned about your body parts. A caring physician. I feel fortunate to be able to call him my doctor.

I have been a patien of Dr Monton's for 20 years and he is the best. He is not only very competent but he bedside manner is the best I have ever experienced. No matter what situation arises he is there to reassure and comfort you. He is very patient and takes his time with his patients. He never makes you feel rushed and when it is your turn to see him he gives you his full attention. You might have to wait awhile to see him but it it worth it. I wish all doctors would learn who to treat their patients with the kindness and respects he has for his.

Probably the most caring human being I have ever come across. Regardless of how busy he was and how many patients were waiting for him, he always took the time to listen, give advise and whenever the situation needed.....a caring hug. I had a still birth 15 years ago under the care of another OBGYN. Following such an experience, he took me on as a patient for my two other pregnancies. He watched over me like a hawk checking everything under the sun to ensure that I would deliver healthy babies. Today I have a healthy 13 and 11 year old. I almost looked forward to those normally dreaded yearly appointments. In my eyes, he and God both get the same amount of respect in my books. I met him not too long ago at Future Shop and not only did he remember me but also remembered the names of both my kids. What an amazing man ! I also have to admit that he is also quite nice to look at too !!! If only all doctors were like Dr. Monton.

Dr. Monton has been my gynecologist for the past 18 years. He's not always on time because he's often busy delivering babies! He has a fantastic bedside manner: quiet, reassuring, answers every question and never makes you feel silly. He's respectful and dignified with his patients -- aware that, sometimes, they may be uncomfortable with the whole gynecological examination procedure. He loves what he does, and is always warm and compassionate. Many years ago, his partner at the time -- a woman -- scheduled me for a hysterectomy. I objected. She refused to listen. I had massive bleeding, and a previous D/C showed pre-cancerous tissue. Although I could see her point, when he returned, I voiced my concerns. He listened, prescribed hormones, and my next D/C was fine. The ritual of the yearly D/C continued for another 6 years. But today, post-menopause, I am fine and still have all my "innards". I would recommend Dr. Monton to anyone searching for the best OB/GYN out there.
