Dr B is a great doctor. I have had him for about 18 years. I don't understand the bad comments about him as he has always been the most friendly and professional doctor I've ever met. He is always there to get to the bottom of things, and often gives me free samples of medication he is prescribing me to save me some money. I will be sad when he retires!!

Has been my Doctor for 20 years. Very friendly and kind. Has made referrals to specialists at my request (ENT / Urologist) Went out on a limb for me to try medications (that others may not have) Has performed minor surgery on me during regular appointments, that others would have make me come back, or pay to see someone else. Good at filing out medical forms. Tries very hard to please. All around good guy!

I've had Peter as my family physician for 22 years. I've always found him to be very personable yet professional. He's always listened and dealt with my issues. I've found that he knows his limits and will refer you to a specialist without question. No big ego here to get in the way. I would feel very confident to recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Babuin has a pleasant, outgoing personality and the clinic at which he now works exclusively (Brickyard) has a great staff. Unfortunately, I have never encountered someone who cares so much and helps so little. He is reluctant to give referrals to specialists and will refuse outright if pressed on the issue. He is too quick to conclude either that he knows what the problem is or that there is no problem, and will not investigate further. He also tends to push me to try new medications, even when I have expressed concern about the side effects, and every time I see him I feel like I'm talking to a drug industry rep and spend half my time refusing to try whatever it is he wants me to try. Bottom line: I think he's caring, but lazy. If there were any doctors taking new patients in the town to which I have moved, I would switch right away; unfortunately, there are none.

Dr Babuin cares.If he doesn't know what is wrong with you, he does whatever it takes to find out. He is more than willing to find you the care you need, even if it means sending you to another Dr. I have been in his care for more than 23 years and have always gone away feeling like he cares about me and my ailment. While I have known Dr. Babuin for 23 years, he has been my personal physician for around 15. I am extremely impressed with his performance and attitude. It is very challanging to have a doctor you know personally. He has helped me through some issues in a manner that not only inspires confidence but, most importantly, earns it. While I have always admired Dr. Babuin, I have grown to respect him for his acomplishments in a very difficult field.

Peter has been our dr. for at least 25 years. I had several others before him and none had his level of competence, caring or cosideration. He has seen me through serious illness, and recovery twice in my life . His proffesional support and kindness have helped my family greatly. It is hard to imagine any one doing a better job.

I think Dr. Babuin is a GREAT Doctor! He listens to what you have to say about why you are there to see him & will go out of his way to make you feel better & If he can't help you he will send you to someone who can!!! He is always very cheerful & reasuring!I would hate to have to find another Doctor!He is a WONDERFUL Person!

Although very nice, Dr. Babuin has repeatedly dismissed my concerns as trivial. He has not performed any physical exam (not even taken my blood pressure) in over six years. He also has a complete disregard for other doctors' opinions and is extremely reluctant to make referrals. It takes more than false reassurances and a good sense of humour to make a good physician.

Dr. Babuin is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He has a great bedside manner, is very up to date and knowledgeable re: the health care system and medical practices. I wouldn't trade him. Great sense of humour, open to new ideas and very willing to listen. Love him.

Dr. Babuin has been my Dr. Since 1984. My four sons just love him and respect him. He is always on time and patient with all of us. very caring. He will definately be missed by all of us when he retires.

I have been going to Dr. Babuin for approx. 11 years and he is the best doctor I have ever had. He has a wonderful bedside manner, sense of humour and a good general knowledge of health, human anatomy, the health care system, and overall treatment and care of patients. I dread the day he retires. He is wonderful.

I first met Dr Babuin in Trail when I was pregnant with my first child. I moved to Nanaimo and he moved here a few years later. He delivered my second child six years after the first. He is the best Dr I have ever had and I will miss him when he retires.

Dr. Babuin was available to take on new patients 26 years ago when I needed a family Dr. He saw me through my pregnancies and four other operations. He also had my history in front of him every visit and asked all the right questions. I beg to differ with the first comment and know he has many patients who will be very sorry to see him retire. He's no longer my Dr. (since I moved away) but I still wish I could go to him for my medical concerns. He's the best I ever had.

Has been too lack and does not listen to his patients. I personally know of three cases of people who had cancer and he told them there was nothing wrong.

Dr. Babuin is the consumate professional. Blending great empathy and integrity with ongoing study to stay current on diseases, disorders, treatment and best practices, he has cared for our family for 10 years. He regularly and correctly diagnoses our various illnesses and either treats conservatively or refers as needed. He is friendly and available to talk about any concerns we have. Many times he just listens. He has earned my family's trust and we recommend Dr. Babuin to anyone searching for a reliable family practicioner

best dr I have ever had, Fantastic bedside manner, Never rushes you, and does every test possible for the symptoms described. Doesn't hesitate to send you to a specialist if need be. Never feel like hes too busy to listen to me. He has been my Dr and my family's Dr for over 25yrs.
