Dr. Iyer is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, understanding and kind. She is brilliant....intuitive at times. Will say what you feel and experience before you even gave to try to explain. She truly manages pain...not just gives pain meds that so many are ignorant about. She knows pain meds are not good for me but it's life. I simply can not live without pain control so there should be no issue of meds. Just as diabetics need insulin chronic pain patients need pain meds. She gets this and even reminds me when I am upset about needing meds. She thinks of best treatments and offers several. Also encourages natural and spiritual approach to healing. The office o on the other hand is not up to par. Can be Rude busy and even ignores me when standing there after knowing meur fot years. Nurses good. Just need better management and kinder reception.receptionists always unprofessional. A shame since dr. Iyer should set a standard. Its worth it for such a rare gem of a doctor.

Dr. Iyer has the staff and equipment to perform RFI and ESI procedures in her office. Most other "real" PM Doctors have to perform these procedures in the Hospital. She stays on top of all new advances in PM care. Great knowledge and cares for her patients.

Dr. Iyer has been my pain management doc since 2003 and is one of the most knowlegable and compassionate doctors I have met and while every time you fill out a form re your concerns, she always has time to listen to new or changing issues and treats me with respect and helps me find the best medicine that will work with the least amount of side effects which was very challenging for me as I'm very sensitive to all medication due to liver disease and sensitive skin. She never treats me like a drug seeker and seems to truly understand chronic debilitating pain and I don't know what I would do if it wasn't for her. My only criticism, is it seems that her staff never remember me and they don't seem to have much understanding about Medicare/Medicaid and there is always a new person to go over my records. Other patients have told me they don't have a problem with with their insurance plans so I don't know why mine is so confusing to follow.

Desk staff can be rude when busy. Phone calls are rarely returned. Wait time is not bad at all. Dr is always pleasant and helpful, but does rush thru a visit and walk away as your still speaking. Very experienced and knowledgable in her field. Does not push if your inwilling to try something. Likable doctor!
