13/12/13 4 3 5 5 Dr. Wendy Graham is a true professional and if I had to say anything negative about her, it would be that she takes too much on her plate because she cares so much! As for the complaints about waiting 2-3 hours that's par for the course. See any other Doctor and it would be the same thing! What other Doctor works on Saturday? She has an excellent staff except for one person, and instead of letting her go, she is trying to help her (trying to save the world, can't be done. Sorry Doc.)

18/11/13 4 3 5 5 I have been with Dr. Graham for over 13 years and she has helped me over some very difficult times. She stood up for me and stopped my family from bullying me. She created Mihealth which can be accessed anywhere in the world. She took in my husband when his Doctor retired even though she already had enough patients. I do not have anything negative to say.

25/07/13 5 4 5 5 Dr. Graham is a great Doctor! She is very observant, very thoughtful and very careful (throughout). In my hair loss incident, she explained and described possible causes of hair loss to me. She suggested the best medication for me to efficiently and safely restore my hair. Also, two weeks before my wedding day, I was infected with a very serious cold/ flu which I had a fever and lost my voice. Usually a doctor would only suggest a patient to go home, rest, and wait for the recovery. However, very thoughtful of her that she prescribed an antibiotic for me so that I could be the best groom on earth for my lovely bride! Moreover, she and her staffs always answer questions and concerns that I have every time when I call the clinic or through her messaging system.

14/05/13 1 1 1 1 i dont get it how she can still have a rating so high, probably her and the staff are increasing the rating, i probably being there around 8 times. 3 times waited 3 hours , 2 times she never show up after a few hours of waiting, 1 time she was out of town, and so i had to try talk to her by a very low quality webcam that was shoppy, last time i guess left all the door open so i can hear the conversation next door about the guy doing cocian and the family is in to drug, she his horrible, even the people at the parking lot downtown made a comment to me how often some of her client need to pay for parking since it take over 2 hours of parking. and i won't even say what she did cause it make a look worst. i wish i could change doctor, but there no doctor available, I keep hoping.  Respond

24/04/13 5 3 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr.Graham for the past 6 years and she has been great to our family. Whenever we need an appoinment we call and within a week or so we see her. Now that's better than waiting 3 months! She's very knowledgable and sincere, she cares about your well being and I wouldn't change a thing! I'm gratfull to have her as a family Dr.  Respond

10/04/13 1 1 1 1 I have to speak up because I have been an unwilling patient of Dr Graham for over 15 years and I have to say, any positive remarks about this lady is coming from her kids, family, staff, or her own cowardly face hiding behind a computer screen. To say anyone who disagrees with Dr. Graham's practices is a drug addict is taking it a bit far! Dr Wendy Graham is an extremely unprofessional physician, who is not only killing people every day, she is so erratic, it seems she might be on drugs herself. To the previous poster: if you have been a patient for 25 years than you must have heard the most horibble stories as you rotted away in the waiting room no? Give it up.  Respond

22/03/13 5 5 5 5 I've been receiving medical services from Dr. Graham for over 25 years. She is incredibly thoughtful and kind. She truly cares about the well being of her patients. Not to mention she is incredibly intelligent, and provides services, like her MSG system, that no other Doctor in City can provide- its been a godsend. Dr. Graham aslo has a lot of experience dealing with underbelly of North Bay. That's why I'm not shocked that she doesn't have a higher rating on Rate MD's. The problem must lie in her patient roster- her door is open to all walks of life, even drug addicts. Nevertheless, she just refuses to facilitate them or tolerate belligerence that is directed towards her staff. Some of these low-lifes must come online in attempt to tarnish her good name- makes me sick.Dr. Graham- you are the best! Thanks for everything you've done for me and my family!!  See Responses

04/10/11 2 1 1 3 Dr. Graham is a horrible Dr.! Her carelessness almost killed a relative of mine. Had it not been for the relative's brains, and a second Dr.'s opinion, she would be dead! It's too bad that someone who used to be a smart, pleasent and approachable Dr. has gone so far downhill. Overbooking her practice, lack of attention to patients information, and general ignorance, has ruined her. She seems more concerned with money and politics these days, than anything. She is a lecturer and constant figure at Queens Park in Ottawa, which just proves the above. All of this begs the question, "How many other patients has she injured or killed over the last few years?" Probably a lot, but when your carrying enough insurance and have friends in the right places, you can obviously get away with murder. She is looking towards retirement in the near future, and all I can say is "Good riddance, and the public will be safer and live longer, without her practicing medicine!" She is also no longer my Dr. as a result of her behaviour. Believe the "bad" you read here, because I've have read it and it's true!  See Responses

07/09/11 5 3 5 5 She is absolutly Amazing!!! She may not be on time all the time, but that's because she is at the hospital caring for the patients that she has there. She was beyond helpful with me and ordered every test imaginable to get the right diagnosis, and in the end the nailed it right on the head. Im sure 85% of the complaints on here, are still patient's of hers, because you don't want to be left withot a family doctor like the 25000 people in North Bay, or more. You can always get an appointment within a week, 2 weeks at the latest. I know of many doctors that is 2-3 month wait!!!! Her staff is absolutly wonderful and always helpful, even if Dr. Graham is not in the office. All I can say is AMAZING!!!  Respond

13/08/10 2 1 1 1 So frustrating to have her as your Doctor!! I come out of there shaking my head and so upset. I never know how I got rushed out so fast and refuse to discuss my medical problems in front of the whole waiting room. She is 'scattered' My health is important to me. I will be looking for a new Doctor, one who will listen to me and pay attention to test results. I guess I was spoiled by our previous family Doc of 30 years. So sad that he retired. 17/03/10 1 1 1 1 My boyfriend was diagnosed 12 yrs ago with a rare allergy by a family doc an allergist a dermatologist and two other specialist. He just became a new patient of dr grahams and she is now trying to tell him that the condition that he has been living with all these years is something completely different when in actuality she is wrong 100% WRONG. By not admitting that she is wrong she is causing him major stress and adding to his depression I believe that if she keeps practicing medicine the way she does she will be the leading factor in his death, and more than likely the death of others as well.  Respond

11/02/10 5 3 5 4 HOW DARE YOU! Never in my life have I been so opposed the comments most recently posted on RateMDs.com. regarding Dr. Graham's professionalism. She is an EXCELLENT physician, who cares deeply for the well being of her patients. Unfortunatelty, she sometimes has to deal with demanding, negative people, who are abusive, and self-involved. She fits people in because they want/need to be seen, not because she's trying to make more money! What a green-eyed envious comment to make! How would you feel if she refused to see you bc her day is full or because she's too busy? I bet you'd complain about that too! She is a person with a life, who deserves both respect and to be paid for her services. We are priviledged to have a healthcare system that supports patients, but you have to rememebr that a physician's paracrtice is their livielihood and ultimately a business. Would you work for free? Maybe we should have a site called Ratepatients.com. (I hope it already exists)  See Responses

14/01/10 1 1 1 1 She is VERY unprofessional, swears when talking to patients, squeezes too many patients in to the day so that she can make the highest amount of profit available as her house on the hill is quite expensive to keep. 26/03/08 4 2 5 5 Give me a break! I can't believe all the crap I'm reading about this VERY CARING doctor. Does no one remember the Golden Rule?? How can you all be so nasty. Yes, she is overextended and yes, you will wait to see her because is so busy trying to help serve many needs of many people. Did she take you on as a patient when no one else would? She works in a field where there are too few trying to help too many. I only hope for her sake that she can slow down a bit and take care of herself before she burns out. 11/02/08 1 1 1 2 This doctor has stretched her schedule to the point that her clients are compromised. My case was that I had a persistent cough lasting 2-3 weeks. I called Dr. Graham's office and was told to visit the walk-in clinic. I visited the walk-in and booked a follow up with Dr. Graham's office - They insisted on a date 1 month after my walk in visit. This follow-up was then cancelled by phone, without reason. The simple cough persisted and turned ugly and I was forced to go to Emerg and diagnosed with pneumonia. When I explained why I had gone without proper medical attention due to cancellations the Emerge physician said you it was imperative that I get in within a week so that the antibiotic treatment is done without interruption. I negotiated an appointment scheduled for 1 week and 2 days with no time given or justification on why my treatment will be interrupted. I'm seeking another family doctor. To summarize Dr. Graham's practice I would consider only one word - FAIL.  Respond

29/01/08 1 1 1 1 I had a very bad experience with this woman! She thinks she is God, and thinks that she knows more that the rest of the medical profession. After seeing my Dad (in the hospital) for 2 minutes, she attmepted to change his treatment plan that was made in consultation with 4 other MDs (including a palliative care specialist, and and oncologist). She actually told him that he did not have any tumors on his lungs, when he was dying of lung cancer (an already was aware of his prognosis)! She then told me that "he did not need to know the details"! What a terrible way to treat people and their families.  Respond

07/01/08 1 1 1 1 On average I waited 1-2 hours for my scheduled appointments only to be treated badly by her nasty receptionist then listen to the dr. ramble when she finally does grant me with her presence. She is WAY too busy and too unfocused. Some of the comments that have come out of her mouth make me wonder why she is working with the public. Also, I have compared stories with other patients....if you are a female in your 30's she will push you to have a baby "before it's too late"...if you are a female in your 40's she pushes tubal ligation. I know someone who went to get their inhaler prescription renewed and when Dr. Graham found out she was in her 40's she was asked 3 times if she wanted a tubal ligation. This woman is just not all there. I moved north a few years ago and left behind a wonderful doctor in Guelph who seemed a bit concerned when I mentioned who my new doctor would be. At the time, I didn't think much about it, but now I know I should have taken that as a warning!  Respond

14/12/07 1 1 1 2 She would be a good Doctor if she had time to be a good Doctor. Pushing the Blue Sky Network forward is great, but you have to find time for the patients who are keeping the network alive. Not happy with Blue Sky? -Go to the Northgate clinic. Don't tell Wendy though... she might rid you as a patient. Oh wait, maybe you should tell her then. Unless you have a perscription to be filled, you're better off with no family Doctor at all.  Respond

06/12/07 1 2 3 3 At first, I was happy to have a waoman doctor. Unfortunately, I discovered that she treats women with less respect than she does men. When I was injured in a MVA she told me to "trust" her and that if I didn't do everything she said, she "would write me up as a non-compliant patient". To whom? and what is that, a threat?!! When my husband came with me next time she was very sweet and 'kind'.She needs to get another job where she is not dealing with sick people who can't always stand up for themselves. Her secretary is incredibly unkind and rude. A visit to that office always made me sicker. I have talked to others who feel the same. 23/08/07 1 1 1 2 I lost all respect for this doc a few years ago. She didn't listen to me and when I took initiative to go elsewhere to find out I really needed medical attention quickly, she was furious as she lost $$$ for not referring me herself. She never asked if I was feeling better after my surgery, she just scolded me like a child. She also misdiagnosed 4 of my family members, missed app'ts, messed up test results, given totally wrong prescriptions, etc...she should take a break..her patients would be better off. Her office is in total caos all the time, staff always frazzled. She is way overbooked and only seems to care about $$$. Plus, her famous line "don't worry, we'll call you if anything is wrong on your test" was proven wrong at the cost of my daughter's health. We all deserve better treatment. Am glad to have found another doc to replace her...one who cares & listens!  Respond

04/07/07 4 2 3 4 Very knowledgeable about health issues with myself, and always gives details on new found research. On the negative end, depending on what day I can see her, she is very quick to write a script and rush you out of the office. On good days, she'll take her time and really try to help you. She has taken personal calls in the room in many of my visits as well. I personally think she should cut down her priorities outside the office. If she focused more of her time on her practice, she'd be an excellent Doctor. For the time being, she doesn't come close to what I'd expect.  Respond

15/06/07 1 2 1 I read the comments above, and believe every word I read except the positives. She is not knowledgable, spends seconds with a patient who may wait 2 hours to see her, does not listen to her patients, acts unprofessionally, and patients suffer as a result. As a physician myself, I can say confidently she does not represent the ideals of the profession, and is a menace to her patients. The people of North Bay deserve better than this.  See Responses

07/06/07 1 2 1 My family and I have been seeing Dr Grahrm for 5 years now. I think she is a good person with a good heart but she is a very bad doctor. Her waiting room is ridiculous, if your going to make people wait that long-set up a TV, comfortable chairs, some beds even. I've waited hours to see her then she rushes you out the door without fully listening to you. She has made quick diagnoses with little information and was WRONG. She diagnosed roseola as pneumonia in a 2 years old...Graham's exact words "I'll be a monkeys uncle if he doesn't have pneumonia" after a very short examination(if you can call it that)... almost drove my wife nuts, she immediately took time off work to get chest X-ray's done, waited for the results, another Dr at the emergency checked our baby over and his diagnoses was roseola. Thank God it wasn't serious. She needs to cut her practice in half, slow down and start listening to her patients before she makes a crucial mistake.  Respond

28/05/07 1 2 2 Although dealing with a neurological condition and growing difficulties, i have never had this dr. in town when i've had an emergency over last few years, yet she has verbally placed restrictions on who and where i could seek medical help when she was absent. She has given definative diagnoses then changed it,then gone back and forth regularly, causing a great deal of stress for me and my family. I have had appts. where i have been ushered into a room after waiting for over an hour in general area, only to be moved to another room, then her office and finally leaving in frustration, never actually seeing her. She sends you to appoints without proper files, frustrating those doctors, will often discuss personal matters with the exam room door open, shared info with me about other patients, and most recently tried to cut my (hair) bangs saying they could be part of cause of my double vision. Her staff is stressed, can often be rude and abrupt. I deserved better and have fought to get it!  Respond

12/04/07 1 2 5 She is unreal, l have never seen a doctor like her before, she assumes the worst of you, before she has even finished listening to what you have told her. So it makes you feel as if she is a miss know it all, and then you feel that it is best never to explain things to her because she will judge you in a bad way. She rushes you out of her office before you have a chance to tell her anything, but she sure makes you wait a long 3 to 4 hours just to get in to see her. 29/03/07 3 5 5 I have been with Dr. Graham since she first started her practice and yes her practice has grown and her various committments have evolved as she has grown as a doctor. I still find her a very caring and efficient doctor, who when there is any doubt at all will send you for tests or a specialist to rule out problems. I still believe that she is well worth the wait when there is a wait. You may be waiting but at least she is in the office when her appointments are booked. Patients also have a responsiblity to be ready with their questions for the doctor, be direct, have a paper and pen with your questions, write down what she tells you so you dont forget if you feel a little rushed. Don't blame the doctors for the over crowded health care system take that complaint to your politicians. She gives 110 percent of herself and I thank her for that.  Respond

29/03/07 1 5 5 I've been a patient of since I was a child. I have had some very serious health problems over the years and she has always been there for me. She gives me all the time I need to ask any questions and she has been great at explaining in detail what my specialists and surgeons were doing. Yes, you have to wait several hours to get in and she is always too busy but if you have the questions ready that you want to ask, she will take as much time as you need to answer them for you. Without her on my side, I'm not sure I would have made it through the last seven years as well as I have. She cares a great deal about her patients.  Respond

23/03/07 1 2 2 the last person to post on here must have seen Dr. Graham at least 5-6 years ago, not since. She is far too busy elsewhere and has allowed herself to "let her patients go". I don't mind the wait, it is the lack of time and attention when you actually get in to see her. My husband and I both find you get much more personal attention, your questions answered, etc. by going to one of the specialists she sends people to. She gives her patients the bums rush, the brush off and it is very noticeable. I liked her to begin with, but things have just gone from bad to worse, that is, if you can even get an appointment to "see her", actually, you get more time with one of her nurses or the receptionist than with the Dr. The nurse screens you, then in comes the Dr. and she isn't there long enough to take a seat. I feel like blocking the door to see if she will take a little time and answer a question or two. Thank God for the internet.  Respond

13/03/07 2 4 2 This doc provided weekly psychological counselling to someone I know - she was entirely ill-qualified. She was concerned and compassionate but did not have the training to address my friend's depression properly. I think family docs tend to feel like they have to do it all on their own when really their job is to be a gate keeper. My friend would have been better off to be referred to a proper counsellor and OHIP would have saved a great deal of money paying for the wrong person for the wrong job.  Respond

22/02/07 1 2 3 Dr. Graham needs to choose a vocation because she wears too many hats and her patients are suffering for it. When she has appointments booked she needs to get her act together - I've been left in a room with a paper sheet over me for an hour (after waiting an hour to get in there) then when she got in to see me, she spent half that time on the phone responding to calls that should not have been overheard by a patient - she apologized of course .. meanwhile my husband was waiting in the car for me for over 2 hours - was not impressed. I would rather sit in emergency or a walk-in clinic than subject myself to her disorganized way of treating patients - makes me extremely irritable and up tight !!  Respond

20/02/07 1 1 1 she has an answering machine pick up to tell you that they are too busy to pick up the phone, why not just let the phone do a busy signal? she also takes phone calls when you are in a room, after having waited an average of 1-1/2 hours..then rushes you out like you've taken up all that time. 16/01/07 1 4 5 I really like Dr. Graham, but she is just too busy with the other things she is involved in regading the medical community. She does not seem to have 'time' for her patient's anymore, though I feel she wants to. She has a good attitude, but no time to put it into practice, no pun intended. Apparently she was instrumental in the formation of the Blue Sky Family Health Network, but all I can say is: Network, what network? How has its formation helped me as a patient. I still can't get in to see her and no other option or doctor is offered. What are all the "network members" for? It's always easier to go to the after hours clinic.  Respond
