I called Dr. Jang's office for a consultation because I found that my skin was not as youthful as it once was. The girl that booked my appointment was very polite and did her best to work with my very tight schedule. On the day of my appointment I expected to have a bit of a wait as most Dr. Offices do. I waited twenty minutes and one of her staff took me into a room and went over my concerns. She was very helpful and listened to every little thing that I had to complain about. When Dr.Jang came in she was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the right treatment that would help me look my best but still be within my budget. Best of all she was able to do the treatment for me right then and there. While she was doing the treatment she very gentle and told me exactly what she was doing. I am extremely happy with my results and have recommended her to a number of my friends who also have had great results.

Dr. Jang is really artisitic when it comes to fillers. It was my first time getting any fillers done. I had perlane and restylane injected for the bridge of my nose. The results were so natural. I was a bit nervous, coz i had somewhat of a needle phobia, she was really nice and calmed me down. Her staff was also very friendly and helpful. Dr. Jang even comforted me when she was doing the injections, and explained what she was going to do. She even let me hold a mirror to see the progress. I felt comfortable. Dr. Jang is very knowledgeable, she answered all my questions about fillers. I highly recommend her!

I have had acne for a long time now, and ive tried using so many products, but nothing ever worked until I went to see Dr. Jang. After only four months of seeing her, i saw a HUGE improvement.. like 90\% better! All my family and friends have noticed and it feels so great to have a clear face! Dr. Jang definately knows what she's talking about and she is so down to earth! Thanks Dr. Jang for everything!

I received an IPL. I found Dr. Jang very knowlegable on aging and skin conditions. I am a bit of a worry wart so I felt more comfortable dealing with an expert in the field (dermatologist). She is not cheap but I think you get very informed advice. There are a lot of salons and spas out there with minimal training and I want to feel safe. I was very satisfied with my results and I am going to try Restylane and Botox next.

She did a great job with Botox. She really knows what she is doing and I feel very safe with her. I am looking forward to doing my lips with her in the future. She really understands what women need.

I went to this office and I really liked it. I think that some of the people on here are confused about what this place does. OF COURSE they charge money, they do cosmetic procedures. Anyway, I went because I felt that I was looking tired and old. DrJang was honest and straightforward and told me what I needed to look better. I got about six injections of Juvderm with the nurse and some Botox with Dr. Jang. I look great! at least 10 years younger. My nurse who injected me was awesome and Dr.Jang was great too she has a funny personality. The clinic is really nice and everyone was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place. I like to go to places where people know what they are doing.

I'm at the age that I could go either way, face lift or maintenance. After seeing a feww other doctors in this field, I choose Dr. Jang. I had a Fraxel treatment, and bit of down time the results are amazing, my skin has that healthy glow and the fine lines around my eyes are virually gone. Thanks to Dr. Jang's recommendation's, to maintain my skins appearance, sunscreen is the #1 key!

Dr. Francis Jang is a well known dermatologist (who hires a bunch of assistances to help her do a lot of the treatments). I find this dermatologist not very helpful in general to her clients. The consultations cost about $150, which is usually less than 3 minutes with her, and are very informal. Most of the time her assistances do the assessments and recording, and Dr. Jang would pop in for 2 minutes to give the treatment and the price for the service. If you come back next time with a different request of service or need, she charges you for another consultation fee. She does not seem to show any concern to the needs of her clients, providing very limited information, failing to try to help her clients make better informed decision. From personal experience, you need to come up with a lot of specific questions, and mention everything to her at the consultation, otherwise, she will not make any effort to address them and it will costs you more money in the end. (aka 'money grabber')

My skin was horible. Ive been suffering for years with Acne and scarring. But since going to Dr Jang she has saved my skin and helped it improve drastically. In addition the service and results at Skinworks are Awesome! They make miracles happen.

Suggested the wrong treatment for me (IPL) which made my face worse. She wasn't willing to rectify the situation. Instead told me I had difficult skin that she'd never dealt with before. It was a degrading and costly experience. She's more focused on revenue generation than providing the right treatment for her patients.

I recently went into Skinworks for a Fraxial treatment to help minimize my scaring and malasma. I was very impressed with Dr. Jang and the staff at Skinworks. The proscribed treatement went with little discomfort. I was impressed with the care and service I received. Dr. Jang and the staff at Skinworks worked the extra mile too ensure I was informed and comfortable during and after my treatment. The results were fantastic. I am trilled with the results. I have no more Malasma and very little saring left. Thank you Dr. Jnag and staff at Skinworks I will and have reccomended you to my freinds and family. Carey Teahen

Went there for full face laser hair removal. Dr. Jang kept selling me products that were making my face MORE sensitive so they could not turn up the laser; making my laser removal a LONGER process- ALL THE WHILE telling me that i was "an especially hard case to treat". At one point Jang's assistant almost got into a fight with her in front of me in the office about selling me $1000+ worth of products when i was still on the laser because it would put me at serious risk of burning. JANG IS MONEY HUNGRY AND VERY BUSY= VERY LITTLE ATTENTION TO CLIENT. I went somewhere else and they were ASTOUNDED by the price (quoting me $130 to Jangs $400) and by the fact that she would sell me such pricey products that would SLOW DOWN MY PROGRESS in the overpriced laser hair removal treatments I was purchasing. Very disappointed as I thought she had such a great reputation as a top vancouver derm. Patients are not cash accounts, they are people and Jang seems to be losing sight of this fact.

I've put up with her because I thought her work was good, but I'm tired of waiting up to 40 minutes and then having her buzz in and out before you can ask anything. She's way too busy for patients. And the last time I was there for Botox, it didn't take in one spot. I called them up to ask about it and was told they would call me; no one ever did. I'm not going back.

I don't know how everyone has such different experiences with Dr Jang, it sounds like she's two different people. My experiences have always been good. She's always nice to me, always listens, doesn't rush me, is no nonsense, didn't sell me on unnecessary products or procedures and happily checked out a worrisome mole even though she's strictly cosmetic. Helpful with my rosacea prone skin. The staff I've encountered are great.

Dr. Jang has no bedside manner to speak of. She insulted me on my first visit, however, I wanted the job done so I went back. For all the hype of what a good doctor she is I would say that she is only fair. The job was not totally to my satisfaction (at least not what she told me it would look like). I almost feel that it was a waste of money, however, only $750. It could have been alot more if I went for the IPL treatments that she recommended but I will not do that. She is rude. I found her staff very good, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Monika in the skin products line was excellent and more helpful than Dr. Jang herself. Dr. Jang could not help with my allergic rash and referred me to another Skin Specialist so I wondered about her lack of knowledge as a dermatologist if she has to refer me to another doctor. She is totally interested in money making procedures and my rash did not look like a money maker to her.

Went to see Dr. Jang to treat some broken capillaries around my nose. 45 mins AFTER my appt time, I was lead into a room where a technician went over my issues and recommended I get IPL to my entire face. Dr. Jang eventually came in. She was likeable but looked at me very briefly and also suggested Botox injections which she said she could do right there and then. I decided to wait on the Botox but made a down payment for the IPL. Later, I did some research and discovered IPL is NOT recommended for those with photo sensitivities, which I have! Botox also had warnings that directly related to me! But was I warned of any of these beforehand? NO!! I was so irritated that I had to find out thru my own research (thank GOD I had the foresight) about the precautions and wasn't told by anyone in her office. I immediately cancelled my IPL (got my down payment back!) but I will not return here for any procedures!! And $157.50 is FAR too much to charge for such a short, ill-informed appointment!

My experience at Skinworks was great! Dr. Jang was personable and detailed with my treatment. I found that the treatments that were suggested and the follow through with excellent results. My treatment with the staff was friendly and answered all of my questions. I would recommend Skinworks, for Dr. Jang and her team for a complete anti- aging treatments as my skin looks 15 years younger.

Dr. Jang's bedside manner is atrocious. She did not take the time to explain anything, was not friendly, or appear very interested in providing care. I will say that she did not attempt to sell me products or services that cost much. In fact, I was prepared to pay $2000 or so for treatments, but she instead offered a "cost effective" treatment costing $600. It worked fine. However, she declined to treat sunspots on my hands, saying "use the cream" and walked out of the room. She left me with her assistant before I was finished talking to her about possible treatments. My impression was that she wasn't interested in spending time with someone who she thought didn't have much money to spend. I won't go back. Now I'm trying to find a different reasonably good dermatologist. Staff was okay.

I have been a client of Dr. J's for many years, then she switched to her private practice and is no longer interested in me as an acne/rosacea patient. The reviews are CORRECT! I also paid $75 to see her and got insulted by her and her barbie doll assistant(?) don't really know what the girl was there for...I paid to be treated by dr.J. Anyways, forced to buy over $400 worth of product that I really couldn't afford but felt embarrassed if I didn't. Left office broke and crying after being told that I obviously couldn't afford the procedures I needed to have in order to make me look better. Will never go back to her again.Don't waste your time or money. She used to be wonderful-not anymore

Dr. Jang is the best dermatologist I have ever been to. She helped me so much and was so pleasant and friendly... other dermatologists I had gone to were complete jerks and didn't help me much! after many years with Dr. Jang, a long while since she sucssessfully helped me get rid of the acne on my face, chest and back, I continue to see her for Botox and fillers. The new office is so beautiful, the girls that work with Dr. Jang are so friendly and positive, always willing to answer my questions or find out new answers for me. The only downfall is the wait time which is sometimes from 20 to 45 minutes... but it's like they say, great things are worth waiting for! And Dr. Jang is definately worth it. And let's face it, a;; doctor's offices make you wait! I only wish I had a higher income so I could afford even more procedures, but I stay within my budget and still look great... people tell me that I look like I haven't aged! That's my little secret.

I dont think she's really a derm, if she is then she's one of the worst in town. You have to wait 45 minutes to get only 3 minutes of her time. She rarely even looked at my acne and red marks to make a proper diagnosis. Her entire clinic is nothing more than a front to sell her overpriced treatments and beauty products (which she has a warehouse full of). Her staff changes all the time it seems, ranging from new RNs to older sales lady, whom all are chosen for their looks and appearance rather than knowledge. Ended up buying products that did not help me much at all but instead gave me a signal to fix my acne myself and later through another cheaper and better doctor. I'm glad that I didn't go for anything more expensive with her, because she would not have administered the treatments herself and I highly doubt her staff is qualified enough to give satisfactory results. When a doctor comes in with obviously (badly done) lip "enhancement" (think filler) it's a sign for you to walk away.

I have seen many doctors regarding acne and Dr Jang is the only one who could find a solution that helped my. My skin is now clear and I often get compliments on my complexion. My prescription changed when I became pregnant and then changed back again. Once I went in and she gave me the wrong prescription. I realized it as soon as I walked out the door so I turned around and told the girl at the desk what happened. She said I could not see the Dr because she was busy so I would have to make another appt. I insisted so she went to ask the Dr herself and dr Jang told her the prescription was correct. I actually had to make another appt to correct this small thing which was very inconvenient for me. I also had laser hair removal done at Skinworks and I am not impressed with the results. One of the technicians was excellent and one was really lousy which I think had a very negative effect on the end result.

I like Dr Jang's personality. Her staff is a mixed bag, some are wonderful and others are not. She does tend to push skincare products (of which she has a huge range) which can be a tiny bit intimidating. That being said, she knows what she's talking about and is skilled at a number of cosmetic dermatology procedures and is relatively realistic in the outcomes that each procedure can provide. If you can resist her skincare pitch you'll be happy with her level of care and service.

The reviews are correct. Dr. Jang usually only see's patients for 5 mins, does seems to be more keen on patients who will spend the money, but she is fast and good at cosmetic dermatology such as botox.

She's money hungry. I paid $3000+ tax for thermage and it was just a big waste of money and time. Afer thermage my skin got more droopy so I had to have an early facelift.

Speaking as a 'cosmetic' patient I've found Dr Jang to be lovely. She's always taken an interest in my rosacea, allowing me to collaborate with her on an efficacious treatment plan that doesn't impede on my life or wallet. However, I can see why some patients haven't really liked her as her passion is cosmetic dermatology so those who have more 'medical' problems probably bore her. That being said after looking at the reviews for other dermatologists in the Lower Mainland Dr Jang is a saint, her clinic isn't as much of an assembly line as many other doctors in this city.

The worst experience I have ever had. I went in, told her I would NOT take accutane for my acne (trying to have a baby) so she assured me that for 2,500$ I could get laser treatments that would do the same job. After the 2nd failed treatment she told me that my skin was a mystery and that accutane was my only option. When I pushed it, she prescribed a series of "peels" that worked marginally well. After the 3rd peel (5th treatment) I was scheduled for a follow-up which the clinic cancelled twice. I called and asked Dr. Jang to personally phone me to discuss - and she did not call me back. I emailed and phoned, and all I got was a receptionist returning my phone call saying that I needed to come in. Her staff are rude, the clinic is overbooked, she herself is quick to sell flat-rate packages with absolutely no follow through. Good luck if you are an MSP patient, she'll bump you for the botox crowd.

I went to Dr Jang several years ago for chronic whelts on my face. She prescribed me a series of medications that even the pharmacist was begining to ask what ailments I had. I felt like a lab rat at one point because of some of the crazy drugs she had me on, that were not working. I discontinued seeing her due to the fact I became scared of what the meds would do to me. Later I was referred to another dermatologist who diagnosed me and gave me a cream to put on that cured me within a couple of weeks.

Went to see her a few times but did not get any results with her prescriptions. I think she just gave up and sent me to another dermatologist. Not sure if she just wasn't able to help or I wasn't a profitable patient.

She was a waste of time. Prescribed lotions for my skin rash that didn't do anything. Then gave me 3 injections on seperate visits and still no avail. When she told me she was going to put me back on the same cream I left. I went to see another doctor (several years later and still with the rash) and got a different cream and it worked within a week.

Dr. Jang is a great dermatologist. She understands my concerns, takes me seriously and sensitively, and delivers results. She's also helped my little brother too. I began seeing Dr. Jang over 16 years ago and still visit her as needed. I wish Dr. Jang was still a MSP dermatologist. I'll still budget to see her because I trust her.

Dr. Jang is helpful and knowledgeable. She was also very upfront as to what limitations were regarding the treatment. Her staff ranges from excellent to poor though. SOme are knowledgeable and helpful, others are not & can be quite unhelpful/confusing. Its unfortuante that there is a bit of "upselling" regarding the products...

I have had acne since I was a teenager and had tried everything. Dr. Jang started me on an excellent program which has totally cleared my skin. She was professional, knowledgeable and knew exactly what was needed to help clear my skin problems. Great overall experience.

I am greatful for Dr. Jang's treatment, she is the only one that gives me back the youthfulness and the skin that I always wanted. The only thing I don't like from her clinic is her staffs, some of them are just not as friendly as she is and I find sometimes they're a bit phony. That's the only thing. If it wouldn't be for her, I wouldn't have come there.

As far as dermatologists go I think Dr. Jang is excellent. She's very knowledgeable about cutting edge treatments for just about every skin malady. Almost always on time and with a practical touch she empathized with my concerns without being unrealistic in how treatment plans could impede on my lifestyle. Thumbs Up!
