Absolutely awful experience. Went in with trouble breathing, she was extremely dismissive and called me I can’t “bully her” into prescribing antibiotics, after I tried to advocate for myself from her advice of “you’ll just have to wait until you get worse and come back in”. Told me I was fine and had a cold. Went to the emergency department and got diagnosed with pneumonia. Absolutely awful doctor, no compassion.

Dr. Hyshka has been my doctor for about 10 years. I couldn’t speak more highly of her. Whenever I need an appointment I can be sure to see her within a few days max. She always offers phone support if you are unable to make an in person appointment. She doesn’t push medication or unnecessary treatments. She sends me results as soon as she receives them (even if it’s after hours for her 8-9 pm via email). She is always there to listen and give her best insight and support. Thank you Dr. Hyshka!

I went to see this doctor with irregular periods and other issues. She was unhelpful and told me there was nothing she could do and, “This is just your body”. Did not send me for blood work or complete any other testing or follow-up. Years later during infertility, I found a new doctor who diagnosed me with PCOS and started me on medications for this. I was able to have 3 children thanks to my new doctor. I shudder thinking that if I didn’t switch doctors I may not have my children and my PCOS never would have been diagnosed or treated.

We went in with an issue we suspected, and this doctor basically belittled us for thinking it could possibly be what we thought . At one point, she rolled her eyes at us. We didn’t say anything as for this medical issue, we are at the mercy of the doctor to prescribe. In the end, we got the antibiotic we needed and the issue that we thought, went away. I probably would’ve ended up in emerge no thanks to her! Maybe she needs to sit down and think about whether she should be practising….or, maybe she was having a bad day!

My husband and I would like to thank Dr. Hyshka for her excellent care. We always find her to be compassionate, efficient and so knowledgeable . Her staff is also extremely helpful and efficient . With her as our Family Physician, we feel so reassured, especially when a serious health issue arises. With my husband’s recent experience with his artery blockage , we really feel that if it was not for her intervention in getting him an initial urgent appointment with his cardiologist that he would have had a much different outcome from the positive one he did have.   We thank her for all her hard work and care. In this ‘busy world’ of today, she no doubt doesn’t hear enough positive feedback from her patients, so let this be a HUGE THANK YOU from us, on behalf of ourselves and no doubt the majority of her patients.

I'm rating her as per my family members experience..........she has no compassion and takes it upon herself to play god and decide for other doctors what she THINKS they will say, when this family member asks questions. She didnt take my family member seriously, disregarded her concerns as nothing serious..........prescribing pain killers and was told to go on birth control. She left a requisition sitting on her desk for weeks..............and now this family member is in cancer treatment and told *if u had of come earlier*, she tried! SHAMEFUL to say the least, she has forgotten the oath she took *to do no harm*...........we certainly aren't getting the health care we are FORCED to pay into.

Had the privilege of seeing this Dr during a urgent care visit. She advocated for my 2 year old and essentially after over a year of dr visits and abx treatments referred him to an ENT. She took the time to listen and get a full grasp of what was going on with my little guy!

She has saved my life. Reducing my meds. Trust her completely.
