26/01/14 5 5 5 5 He diagnosed me with CFS about 20 years ago, just as he was learning the specialties he went on to be even better in. He was great then, compassionate and down-to-earth, a listener, and from what I read has gained much knowledge and expertise since. During my time with him I went from being bedridden/housebound to getting back into life, even working full time before I left him. Never have gone backward since. Amount paid is irrelevant. It was priceless to me.  Respond

08/08/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Podell has been a very helpful and supportive doctor as I navigate a multisystemic illness. He is very intelligent and thinks "outside the box" in his treatment of me. I appreciate his willingness to try different approaches to medicine. His style is inclusive, including those of "traditional" medicine and integrative practices as well. I consider Dr. Podell a very important aspect to my achieving wellness.  Respond

25/01/13 5 5 5 5 "Outstanding" Sherlock Holmes of Medicine. Dr. Podell and Dr. King are the best, very professional and caring. I have been with them for 8 years now and when you are feeling lousy and having Fibromyalgia/CFS flare ups they are there for me and have a deep understanding and empathy for what we are going through. Three years ago I moved to NY and still travel to see both Podell and Dr. King in NJ because they know the process and can help adjust protocols toward getting me feeling my best again. Even more important is they research new treatments and have an ever growing and diverse set of treatment modalities (pharmaceuticals, biofeedback, breath, foods, supplements). Dr. Podell and Dr. King take the time to listen and are not afraid to try cutting edge treatments with the labs to validate progress. I am forever grateful to Dr. Podell and Dr. King for there help and knowing they will be there for me when I'm not feeling well. The peace of mind this brings is priceless.  Respond

29/11/12 4 4 1 1 it's amazing how many patient reviews all seem to be suffering or are being treated for CFS/fibromyalgia. this was my diagnosis as well. the crazy thing is I DON'T HAVE CFS OR FIBROMYALGIA! chances are the majority of his patients don't either! my pain was due to hormonal imbalance and this doc should have known this, since i PAID for hundreds of dollars worth of tests! i had the results, but podell didn't know how to read them. the doc i see now saw ALL of the results and labs podell had done and he said the answer was there right in front of his face. yet he insisted i had CFS/fibro and arthritis. WRONG. and as if this wasn't enough of a scam, i also saw his associate dr. king. her specialty is teaching people HOW TO BREATHE. don't fall for this. too expensive and very LIMITED knowledge. if he's giving out pain meds and antidepressants he is NOT treating the root of your problem!  See Responses

27/09/12 5 5 5 5 Dr. Podell is very compassionate,& kind.He is Also very knowledgable on FMS/CFS studies, treatments, and remedies. This is not an easy disesase to treat or to have, but he listens to me. He always checks on me to make sure i am doing ok. Flareups happen and Dr. Podell is reassuring that we will get thru this-together. I'm glad I found him. I went for years not knowing what was wrong with me, but he gave me answers. Dr. Podell gets that this is not a one size fits all disease and tweaks treatments accordingly. I really appreciate all that he and his extremely helpful staff do to help me everyday.  Respond

20/08/12 5 5 5 5 Dr. Podell have done wonders for me. I started seeing him a few years ago after having the worse year of my life with some medical issues. All other doctors completed misdiagnosed what my issues were which I realized right away. Dr. Podell took the time to LISTEN to my symptoms. He successfully diagnosed me and Im doing great now. Although he doest take my insurance he is worth every penny. Cant put a price on your health. I highly recommend him.  See Responses

23/03/12 5 5 5 5 9 years ago I gave birth to twins and have had medical issues ever since. My symptoms started out as severe fatigue, memory loss, mental fog and varied inability to function normally. After years of seeing multiple general doctors and specialists, as well as alternate medical practitioners. Dr Podell was able to help me with my further deteriorated health consisting of fatigue, depression, anxiety issues and Fibromyalgia by listening to me & carefully reviewing my medical history. He has a wealth of medical knowledge which he combines with good old fashion common sense. I began seeing him 2/6/2012 and am much better than I've been in 9 years. My family & I thank him, because I can return to being an active person, wife & mother.  Respond

11/09/11 5 5 5 5 several years ago I became very ill. I had muscle pain and fatigue throughout my body. I went to numerous doctors I was all over even went to nyc and no one could tell me what was wrong with me. My husband found doctor podell online after doing research. I went to see him and he was the answer to my prayers. I knew after speaking to him that he would be able to help me. He told me I had cfs and fibromyalgia. He has helped me control this for years. I highly recommend him. He is the smartest most compasionist person I know in the medical field. If your looking to get answers with your health and have someone give you every option out there for treatment Dr. podell is the one to see. Thanks DR podell for all the years of caring for me. 03/08/11 5 5 5 5 There are no doctors like Dr Podell anymore. He is one in a million!!! He knows his stuff and he WANTS TO HELP people get better. Both my husband and I go to him because of complications of Lyme disease. We have simular symptoms yet some of our medical symptoms are very hard to diagnose, but Dr Podell NEVER gives up. If you have any doubt, read his books, listen to him on his radio show or just give them a call. It is worth it when you are felling very ill.  Respond

27/07/11 5 5 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr. Podell for years. I had first gone to him when I had been diagnosed with CFS/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. My family physician had been helpful but my symptoms and inability to cope with their effect on my body, mind and spirit had led me Dr. Podell through a referral of a top U.S. expert in the research and medical fields. Dr. Podell has been there for me using leading edge medical treatments, sound nutritional and supplement guidance. I have improved through the above and his further partnership with physical therapists, relaxation experts and his ability to hear what I said and tailoring his treatments to my unique situation. Today I hold a strategic position with a top company. I have often wondered where would I be today, had I not been referred to Richard Podell.

10/06/11 5 5 5 5 Richard Podell, M.D. and Wendy King RN, APN, Ph.D are both outstandingly skilled and caring clinicians. Drs. Podell and King tend to see the most complex patients who typically have seen many doctors before. I can personally vouch for the fact that they have made a huge positive difference in the lives of many—especially those whose problems are difficult. Dr. Podell spends 2.0 to 2.5 hours with every new patient. His nurse educator, Beverly, spends an additional hour with each patient to make they understand all details of the medical plan. Why so much time and effort? Because it takes that long to learn about each person as an individual and the complexities of their illness. This maximizes the chances that each patient can succeed.  Respond

07/06/11 5 5 5 5 Dr.Podell is the finest doctor I have ever gone to. I go to him for FMS. His knowledge of this disorder is incredible. I found him 20 years ago.He was the first doctor that did not think I was crazy regarding Fybromyalgia. He changed my life. He is extremely thorough. His compassion for this disorder is amazing. For anyone who suffers with this don't walk to him, RUN! There are not enough words to describe how my life used to be. At the present time, I still see him because he is constantly researching the newest treatments. If not for Dr.Podell, I probably could not function. Thanks to him,his compassion and knowledge, I am able to live my life. That is priceless.

25/03/11 3 3 1 1 Stay away from this guy. Do not throw your money away. For many years I thought I had fibromyalgia, but wasn't too keen on taking any prescription meds. I'm in my mid-30s so I have always dealt with the pain. When I read that Podell had an alternative approach etc, I figured that it might be worth the shot. I spent $200 just to have the questionnaire rushed so Podell could read it in time for the appointment. When he got there, he had not read it and was skimming it while talking to me. Basically, the visits were all a complete waste of time. He was talking about prescription meds by the 2nd visit. I spent over $1000 for nothing. My wife and I have worked in the pharma industry for many years. This guy is ripping people off and he should not be allowed to do this. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

27/10/09 5 5 1 2 Read the reviews for Richard Podell, internal medicine (they are for the same doctor and, in my opinion, more in line with my experience). This doctor is more interested in making money from pushing expensive, experimental treatment than he is with helping his patients. He is scattered and seems very unorganized. He will write out prescriptions without regard or even research into drug interactions. Does the absolute minimum for his patients. More qualified to lecture or research than to treat human beings.  Respond

30/09/07 2 3 1 2 I saw this so called doctor for irritable bowel syndrome. He was more concerned with trying to sell me relaxation treatments than with listening to me. He prescribed high doses of lactobacillus which have devastated my body. He took no responsibility for this: "You had it before you came in". He's destroyed my life. His knowledge is very limited and he has no conscience. STAY FAR AWAY!!!  Respond

30/09/07 5 5 5 5 BROVO! Highly trusted! Bedridden & Desprate to find what what wrong with me, I was refered by a IMCC DR. who did his internship with him. First saw 20 yrs. ago. I have all the confidence I could possibly have in a MD...spends time, explains in detail, listens, is up on what is new, what works, and what doesn't. Involved in the CFIDS Assoc. and FDIA studies. I liked that he didn't just pass out drugs but rather treated w a mix of vit, holistic, diet, exercise, and meds when needed. During a time when most DRs didn't believe CFIDS existed, he helped me. Keeps up and involved in studies. It's hard to know how he does it all. Dr. Podell is one of the nation's leading experts on Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, and nutritional, complementary alternative medicine.  Respond
