21/07/14 4 4 5 5 Dr. Burmack has been an incredible advocate for my son's health. He always listens to my concerns and goes over my sons symtoms one by one.  Respond

16/04/14 1 5 2 3 Dr.Bermack has been seeing my daughter since she was 3 weeks old and she is now 7. He has always been thorough but very sterile and unfriendly. My biggest complaint is that he has not once been able to see her when she was sick and needed a physician. He is always overbooked. His staff is also horrendous. They are so rude and unprofessional.  Respond

20/01/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Bermack is amazing. Apt's are always on schedule. No matter how many questions I throw his way he always has the answers and he genuinely cares for the kids. The ladies at the front desk are excellent too...they are very helpful, knowledgeable and try to be as accommodating as they can. Both my children have had numerous visits for illnesses, asthma, etc and I am so grateful to have Dr. Bermack as our pediatrician.  Respond

30/01/09 5 5 5 5 An amazing pediatrician. He acknowledges that as parents, we know what is going on with our child and has never given me reason to second guess his comments/diagnoses. Dr. Bermack has always been more than willing to take the time to listen, even when the waiting room is full.  Respond

22/01/09 5 5 5 5 Dr. Bermack was my pediatrician, and although you are supposed to leave at 16, he kept me as a patient until I was 18. I have severe asthma, and have been hospitalized on many occasions. Although he did not even have priviledges at the Grace, he came and visited me and did everything he could to help. He is an intelligent and compassionate MD and I would recommend him to any parent. I saw him since I was a very young child, and never once thought of seeking treatment elsewhere. I hope he's retiring soon so he can enjoy the good life, as he definitely deserves it.  Respond

03/06/08 5 5 5 5 Absolutely outstanding Dr. Besides the fact he's incredibly knowledgeable, he truly cares about his patients. He's the only Dr. I've encountered who will phone your home to see how your child is doing. He investigates thoroughly & really knows what he is doing. He also listens. Can be blunt, but that is because he is in such high demand he doesn't always have time to beat around the bush. Dr. Bermec is the gold standard.  Respond

14/04/08 5 5 5 5 Dr.Bermack is one of the best Pediatrians I know. He is very through and not afraid to send your child for tests if there is a concern. He does not rush or treat your child like a number. He is always up on new medical advances regarding pediatrics. And for that comment about treating mom's like they are hysterical that is farther from the truth,I'm a mom too!And never been treated like that(only with respect) in all the years my children have been coming to him.  Respond

24/02/08 5 5 5 5 Dr Bermack is an excellent pediatrician. We have known him for 9 years, & have nothing but great things to say about him. I have told many others to see him. He always takes my concerns seriously & never has made me feel like a paranoid mother. He even told me once to trust my mothers intuition. Dr Bermack makes us feel at ease & talks to my daughter like she is an important person. He asks her the questions about how things feel & talks to her about whats going on in her life. He also shares memories about his child, which makes it feel like he cares enough to share some of his personal life with you. I rarely have a hard time getting in to see him if I have a big concern about my child. He doesn't rush us or makes us feel like my child is just another number. Truly a great doctor!!  Respond

04/02/08 5 5 5 5 Dr Bermack is a doctor who is always knowledgeable, and up to date on a wide variety of medical issues. When asking about immunizations, he presented the pros and cons in a direct and simple way for us to understand. Both my children have had him since infants...and they love him. I once had another pediatrician have to give immunizations to my doctor and she cried for a very long time. He is fast and efficient. He is so busy that he does not have much time to go into details or just chat unless there is something wrong with your child. The fact that he is in such high demand is a good sign.  Respond

03/02/08 5 5 5 5 My OB recommended Dr. Bermack, and gave the best reference of all: "That's who my children see". When another doctor recommends someone from personal experience, that's a pretty high compliment. My son has allergies/asthma; delayed growth; ADHD and (possibly) migraines. Every concern I bring in is dealt with, and/or appropriate tests ordered. He is very up-to-date in his knowledge, sympathetic, funny and great with my son (who is not easy to get along with :> ). Long live Dr. Bermack!  Respond

27/12/07 5 4 5 5 My children are adults now but Dr. Bermack was their pediatrician for years. He is somewhat abrupt at times when he is busy, but he KNOWS HIS STUFF! We made a few panicked few phone calls to him - some from out of town - which he always returned. I feel sorry for the younger generation when this physician retires. I don't think he can ever be replaced. There's nothing worse in the world than having a sick child, but nothing is more comforting knowing that there's someone you can trust!  Respond

09/12/07 4 4 4 5 He's very up-to-date in his medical knowledge and makes me feel very confident in his ability. My only negative comment would be that he doesn't treat babies like they are a person as well. Even with my toddler who can lay down when asked he will just push her back to lay her down without warning which scares her rather than saying "let's get you to lay down now". If he would talk to her a bit more about what he is doing before and while he is doing it then there would be a lot less fear.  Respond

28/11/07 5 5 5 5 He never makes you feel like you’ve brought your child in with a stupid concern. He has even out-right told me that he would rather see my child and have it be nothing than not have something looked at. Very knowledgeable and up-to-date in the latest in pediatrics.  Respond

23/11/07 5 5 5 5 Dr Bermack is an excellent doctor. My twins were born premature and he was visiting them in the NICU every morning and would also come and see me in the hospital for updates. He continues to provide excellent care 2 years later.  Respond

13/11/07 5 5 5 5 My Son has been seeing Dr Bermack for 18yrs I'm only sorry now that we will not be able to take him there any longer now that he's an adult. I have only great things to say about Dr Bermack  Respond

20/04/07 5 5 5 Dr. Bermack is excellent. My son was very sick as a baby and we were frequently in the hospital emergency due to his not breathing properly and turning blue. Each time we went to the hospital the staff would say that since he was only two months old the rattling noise in his chest must have been from milk or possibly it was just a cold and they would not take it seriously when I told them about his turning blue with coughing fits. My son ended up in intensive care and that is when I found Dr. Bermack and he took my concerns very seriously and ran tests. My son had whooping cough and RSV. Excellent office staff. Always helpful and caring.  Respond

29/03/07 5 5 5 My husband was a patient of Dr Bermack since a baby and now our daughter is one as well. I am so grateful to have him as my daughters doctor. He is wonderful and makes her feel at ease when she visits. I would recomend Dr.Bermack to anyone.  Respond

14/03/07 5 5 5 This is the best pediatrician!! My children have been his patients for over 18 years!! I hope he's still practicing when I have grandchildren!! Dr. Bermack is kind, patient, humourous and brilliant. If he doesn't know the answers to my queries right away, he will find out and phone me the very same day!! I'm grateful that he cared for my children, but I do wish he were a GP!!!!!!!!  Respond

03/03/07 4 5 5 DR Bermack may cme across a bit rough but the man knows what he is talking about. When my kids went there after their GP almost caused me to lose my 2 year old son. (Said we were over reacting, my son had 12 throat infection in 8 months!)he took one look at my son & said this boy has allergies. And tonsils had to come out. Anyway, I suggest anybody who has children take them to a pedeatrician like DR Bermack, not a GP.  Respond

24/02/07 5 5 5 Dr. Bermack was part of the Doctor's group that I went to as a child and I trust him completely with my 2 children. He always went the extra mile to get my son help when he was delayed and call's me back when I have a question. I really appreciate him!  Respond

17/02/07 3 1 1 He was fine until there was a problem. I kept bringing my daughter in to tell him that there was a problem with her ears. He always said "there is no infection mom there is nothing wrong” My daughter screamed for 1 1/2 years and every time I went in I asked for help. He ignored my request. I finally brought my husband with me. Dr Bermack said the same thing to me that he said every time. "There is no infection mom there is nothing wrong” My husband interjected and said, no this is not normal she is crying all the time. The doctor immediately took my husbands words and said, "let's do a Tympanogram " She had water behind her eardrum and required an ENT and bilateral t-tubes. Stop treating mothers as stupid, and over reacting. He will never see us again and I tell everyone what kind of “treatment” he gave us!  See Responses

15/02/07 5 5 5 Dr.Bermack is such a great doctor, he really listens and asks you questions about what you think may be wrong with your child...mother knows best! He also does a fabulous job of putting children at ease about being at the doctors.  Respond

08/02/07 5 5 5 Winnipeg is very lucky to have Dr. Bermack. He was my husband's pediatrician and now we're lucky enought to have him as my son's pediatrician. Very thorough, follows up, genuinely cares and is great with my son.  Respond

07/02/07 5 5 5 Dr. Bermack is a fantastic pediatrician. I am always appreciative of his consideration in not making us wait hours to see him. Eventhough he is in demand (my friend called to make an appointment and was told he would have to wait approximately 5 months. Not because he is that slow...but because he is in demand. He saved my son from having his liver messed up when he was put on the wrong meds. He treats me like I actually have something to contribute to what is happening with my child. He listens to my concerns and observations and ALWAYS takes them seriously. He than includes me in the decision making and values my input. I wish more doctors were like him. I too, hope he never retires. If he does, I hope he goes into teaching or giving lectures on how to treat patients and parents of patients.  Respond

02/02/07 5 5 5 My children have been patients of Dr. Bermack for almost 14 years, and he was my husband's doctor. I can't imagine dealing with some of the health issues we've faced without him. Dr. Bermack is very caring and knowledgeable.  Respond

02/02/07 5 5 5 Dr Bermack was recommended by a friend of mine when we moved into the area for our twins and he's been there for our youngest child since birth. He is very down to earth and always puts my children at ease. We have never had a long wait and have always been able to get an appointment when needed. He's professional and doesn't waste time. We are happy to have such a wonderful Doctor for our three children.  Respond

02/02/07 5 5 5 I like how he follows through with al of the concerna that I have. When my daughter was born she was very unruly and instead of just calling it colic like everyone else wanted to he sent her for testing to rule out other things and when everything came back great he gave me options on how to make her more comfortable and easy to care for. Since then there have been a couple more health issues seeing that she is 6 now and I feel they were all handled with care and very promptly.  Respond

01/02/07 4 5 5 I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bermack! He was my pediatrican, and he now sees my three girls (as well as my nieces & nephews). He is professional, helpful and thorough! I am extremely confident in the care he provides for my children. He has always returned my calls and even went "above and beyond" one time when my infant was sick. His patient load is unbelievable and his dedication amazes me! We need more doctors like him! I hope he never retires!!!!  Respond

26/01/07 5 3 4 I found him very judgemental as he didn't listen to my concerns about my infant daughter. I had to change doctors as she was crying all the time and he told us she was spoiled. Turned out she had a hernia and had to have surgery. I did like him as he was knowledgeable but maybe was having a hard time in his practise at that time. I was grateful for the short waiting times but I wished he would have taken more time to hear what I, as a parent, was saying. Everything else he did for my children was all good!!  See Responses

29/12/06 4 5 5 I utilzed Dr Bermack for my two children and was very impressed with him 30 yrs ago and continue to be impressed with him today with my grandson. I am further impressed to the time and care he provided to the children of the north for many yrs. He no longer travells to the north and it is unfortunate when new Dr.'s only want to work a 9 - 5 job. Travelling and putting in many hrs should be for the young (energy) and Dr Bermack has certainly put in his fair share. We in the province of Manitoba are very lucky to have had such a dedicated and unselfish Dr. to care for our children. Let us hope we find new recruits with this these types of ethics.  Respond
