Dr. Koby is specialized in high risk pregnancy. It seems that he does not really care if you are experiencing a smooth pregnancy. He is always in a rush. He is always a minimum of 1 hour late. I know it may be because someone is delivering but still.... My 3 ultrasounds last for 4-5 minutes. That being said, Dr Koby has a strong reputation, so I'm sure he is a good obs from a scientific point of view. I will not recommend him for a first pregnancy as it's when you have so many questions and are dying to get answers.

I've been seeing Dr Koby recently only, I did have a baby he delivered it. I apologize to those who were scheduled a C-Section when he was out of town, although I find it hard to believe since he's not that type to jump to that unless necessary. The things that must improve: Dr Koby needs to slow down. Every patient is important & deserves their 10 minutes for any question at any appointment they have, after all, haven't they been waiting long enough? Answer all questions before stepping out. It's true about the moods. Once I was in there and he was doing an ultrasound and got a call for a delivery, he took his time. Other times he had nothing and he just wanted to storm out. The phone is ALWAYS busy. Not acceptable. It's true the only nice one is the young one, and she answers the phone. The staff needs to be more careful in evaluating & in calling patients for results. We pay for them. On a positive note Dr Koby is extremely knowledgable. He's gentle. He's reliable in extreme cases.

Dr Koby is an amazing doctor! If you are fortunate to have him seing you, you have nothing to worry about! He takes the time to be there for you when you need him. He came to the hospital when I delivered my daugther and also came to see me in the hospital every day when I had an ectopic pregnancy....and he did the surgery. So I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Koby and could not have asked for a better doctor!

Dr. Koby is a first class physician who delivered our triplets with finisse. Dr. Koby clearly loves delivering babies and my husband and I have great confidence in him. We could see the respect on the > 20 peer doctors/nurses' faces when Dr.Koby entered the operating room. He is kind & always answers our questions. On-line appointment scheduling would be very helpful

Dr Robert Koby is an excellent doctor, with compassion, knowledge, sensitivity,I trust himwith my life.he takes full family history & will advise you for tests,ect.. he really looks out for your well being!I am surprised at any negative feedback here,he is so worth the wait.I kmow that he is probably delivering your baby and I am okay with that ,since you waited when I had mine. Not all patients are seeing him for a blessed event, some of us gals are there because of bad news, breast cancer, uterine cancer, again he is definitly worth the wait.I am a patient of his for 28 years,I would not want any other doctor beside me,his expierience and knowledge will bring a great amount of trust in him.

Dr Koby is excellent and extremely knowledged. Always makes a point of being at the delivy, which is rare now a days. And please remember, when you are waiting 2 hours to see him, 1: he is worth it 2: the wait is just as long anywhere else. Try to understand, there are not enough Drs in Quebec. Also they have no choice but to schedule so many people at the same time. If you are pregnant, he HAS to see you, wether there is space that day or not. Also I much rather pay for the ultrasound (and then get reimbursed by insurance) than wait even longer at a hospital! About the staff, yes they can sometimes be cold, however I do understand that they are overworked, tired and often hungry, since they do not take lunch breaks. Insteand they try to take bites from their sandwich in between seeing patients,So please try to be understanding. unfortunatly we do not have enough health care profesionals in the province, and thats what happens.Overall, Dr Koby is excellent, and I trust him 100%

I am so very shocked with the negative comments. Dr Koby is an amazing Doctor. As far as punctuality (he is usually never on time). The only reason for this is that he has many patients (delivering and to be seen). You all should be ashamed of yourselves. He is one of the only doctors in Montreal that will be at the hospital when you deliver. Most doctors now a days schedule their patients for either a c.section or educing for nothing but only for their patients to be at the hospital when they are working (Ladies that is disgraceful). You should only be scheduled for these types of things for medical reasons and not just because your doctor wants to be paid. Just for your info if a doctor is not scheduled to be working that day you deliver he doesn’t get paid. (Keep that in mind) Dr Koby has delivered all of my three (3) children and they were all born on a Sunday night when he wasn’t scheduled to work.

The first time I went with my husband he actually sat down with us and explained a bit since this was our first child. But it was downhill from then on. I don't even know why they give out appointments in the first place. You will NEVER see him at the scheduled time.Plus watch the attitude of his assistants. (only the young one is nice and handles the too many patients very well) It is disrespectful to make people wait for this long. When you do get to see him, it is literally for 2 minutes. As he is already out the door with one foot he asks "Do you have any questions?" Well, of course I do. This is my first baby! But the absolute cherry on top was, when he actually showed up at the hospital AFTER my daughter was born. Only stitched me up, didn't do a good job at it. Never appologized. I waited for 2 hours with the pushing because the doctors told me so. But my daughters heartbeat indicated that she was in distress and needed to come out. So I pushed. Awfull experience.

I agree with the earlier negative comments: 1) It is rare to get someone to pick up the phone at that office (I usually go there in person). 2) Indeed, they will not let you know of your test results, even if they are abnormal. You MUST follow up. This goes for any clinic in Quebec. 3) Yes, bring a book, the wait will be long. HOWEVER, in spite of all this, I continue to insist on keeping Dr Koby as my gyno. This is a testament to how good I think he is. I had been to over 6 gynos before him, but he is different. He does listen, he does not patronize, he is genuinely concerned. I find him very respectful and kind so I keep going back. Of course, I do wish the clinic itself was better managed, but Dr Koby is a gem and I'm willing to deal with the caveats.

Awful clinic. I chose this doctor when I got pregnant because he was close to the office and I would not have to take 1/2 day off every time I had an appointment. The least I waited is 2h00 and I even waited up to 5h00 for a scheduled appointment. When you need to go every other week at a certain point, that is just unacceptable. He also insisted that I get a scheduled c-section when I wanted to wait full term even when there was no apparent reason for it except that it was more practical for him and he was not available afterward (out of the country. I did not mind that another doctor at the hospital delivered the baby. I also strongly suspect that he broke my water at my last check-up. He really hurt me and I started leaking that day. Trying to get an appointment is also a painful experience since the line is ALWAYS busy. It is easier to get tickets to a Madonna concert than to get the line for an appointment. I do not recommend this doctor.

There could definitely be improvement with the calls and the staff, it is disorganized in that way but I love this doctor, I wasn't sure of having a man OBGYN but my sister-in-law persuaded me and she was right! He made me feel at ease and he gave me clear and concice explanations and asking me tons of questions. He's definitely a keeper. Seeing all the negative comments here I guess you can't please everybody.

this is an excellent doctor - he takes the time to listen to you and answer your questions. More importantly - he takes the time to ask YOU questions. excellent bed side manner - makes you feel very comfortable, not rushed. Staff was great and kind - Aggie was by herself that day and didn't miss a beat with a full waiting room. bring a book and be prepared to wait. BE PATIENT - he is worth it.

I love Dr. Koby, I have had 3 babies delivered by him and know many people who see him. He is not there to be my friend nor to I expect him to be. He is a Doctor and as a Doctor he is knowledgeable and extremely up-to-date. He is sensitive to my concerns and answers all of my questions. He also does his best to make sure you feel as little discomfort as possible during deliveries. I think his approach can be described as "Ask and you shall receive".

I cannot believe the comments that I am reading! Dr. Koby has been my gynocologist for over 15 years - from my early teen years to present (and now my first pregnancy). He has always had all the time in the world for my questions and has always made me feel extremely comfortable and well-looked after despite the fact that he had a waiting room full of other patients to see. Sure, I sometimes have to wait when I have an appointment because of a delivery or emergency but that just makes me feel all the more comforted that he will be there when I need him for my delivery or an emergency. I wouldn't want anyone else to deliver my baby. As for his staff, Aggie and Domenique are always available to answer my questions despite the fact that they are constantly running around. Anyone who ends up with Koby and staff are very lucky to have such wonderful care!

Dr. Koby is an excellent doctor. He always makes me feel like he has all the time in the world to answer my questions. He is very aware of facts in his field and always has the latest information. He has always been able to help me with any problem. I have been going to him for almost ten years. I am very comfortable with him, even though he is male and I was quite shy about this fact beforehand. Yes, the wait is long to see him, but it's once a year and his expertise is worth the wait. What many patients don't understand, is that he is often late because he has been delayed by having to run off and deliver a baby. Also, he takes the time to answer your questions calmly; he does not rush you out of his office. You cannot fault him for that, just appreciate him for it. Not many doctors do this anymore. Every time I wait for him, I just remind myself that one day, it'll be my baby he's delivering.

I had the misfortune to seen by Dr. Koby. The wait was unreasonable. The nurse tried to sell me products, completely unethical for a health care professional. Waiting nake as well, it is unnecessary, and disempowering for a patient. He didn`t ask me if I was trying to get pregnant and gave me requistions for fertity treatments...I will not return, I would not trust his judgement!

Once you GET to Dr.Koby, the experience is very good. He is patient, listens etc...HOWEVER: 1- there is NO WAY to get through to the office (calling to get an appointment, calling to get results etc.) the phone is ALWAYS busy! I don't understand that they don't have call waiting. 2- He was ALWAYS over 2 hrs late on my appointments..I got a ticket last time 3- <the last time I went (last week), I waited, naked from the waist down, for 45 minutes in the waiting room. This is too bad. ..

My friend is followed by Dr. Koby. This is her third pregnancy. Dr. Koby should be sued for having neglected to screen for varicella antibody (chicken pox status) in his prenatal screen. His negligence caused much anxiety in my friend and another patient who acquired chicken pox during the first trimester of their pregnancy. Since he had followed her 2 times before, he should have known that she was non-immune (if he had done his job and performed the ROUTINE screen) and vaccinated her before her THIRD pregnancy. This is a true example of MALPRACTICE. I am astonished that a doctor with his experience does such careless mistakes.

he is only helpful, i think, if you are a breeder. if you are their for your own health and not for breeding - do not expect much. i asked to have my pill changed to progesteron only, and he only prescribed me some outdated pill that nobody uses in europe anymore for years and years...then he recommended me to breed. never seen an obgyn with so many pregnant women in the office. my previous dr was great but he passed on. i would change dr if i could. the stff is actually quite nice to me. maybe they are as fed up with pregnant women as i am.

I think Dr. Koby is a great Doctor...,but it is a problem getting through to his office, and I never get results back from the tests he sends me for unless, I keep calling the office, until I finally get through, and then they advise me "Well, if no one has called you, everything is fine" they did not even ask my name to check the file to see if the results were in or not, and yes there was a problem..which thank God, the delay did not effect my health to worsen...

I was pregnant with my baby boy and I had a very bad bladder infection I was hospitalized in the royal vic, and he even came to see how i was doing. (I'm sure he was in the hospital doing something anyways...but it's the thought that counts.) He was very helpful in answering my questions and very impressive on how he understood what i was going through...he would say comments like "I don't know how women do it" and "They are so strong". He was very encouraging. After i had the baby he helped my boyfriend get through it as well, and later told me how he did a good job. Over all he was a great doctor to me.

Dr. Koby delivered my 2 children 30 & 25 yrs ago and then I moved to Alberta.. I found this site and thought I would read the comments... I can't believe what I read! My complaint back in 1978 and 1983 were about the office staff and their rudness and unprofessional manner. At that time it was still primary an English office.. I really liked him..but he is probably more rushed now than back in my time... I read so many comments above about the office staff..and clearly nothing has changed.. I remember as a senstive 23 yr old. not wanting to answer from my seat across the room when my last period was.. among other sensitive questions..especially in front of men in the waiting room..and I certainly did not want to hear private phone converstions regarding a patients problems. I was always appalled at this and it appears nothing has changed over the years.. but I must admitt, he treated me with compassion an was very attentive at looking after me.

Dr Koby took care of me for my 2 pregnancies and I have nothing bad to say about him. He's knowledgable and make sure to ask how you are. yes he's busy but don't be shy to ask questions. he will answer them and take is time. The staff is very nice. Be nice and they will be. they only negative comment would be that it is impossible to reach them over the phone. the line is either busy or the answering machine starts. That's rude and you don't feel that custimer servuice is their priority with such a phine call managing...

I truly like my doctor. I've been seeing Dr. Koby for 15 years and he delivered both of my children. Yes, there are long waits to see him - but I'm sure other patients were waiting for him while he was delivering my boys too. He has always been patient with me and answered all my questions. I wish the sheets in his examination rooms were a little larger however - they just don't seem to fit. The staff are very busy and somewhat impersonal. And I wonder if anyone else has had issues with the lab technician in the back. I called the other day for a follow up and was treated with incredible rudeness!! I was shocked. I will still go back however because I like Dr. Koby so much.

When i think of Dr. Koby, I do believe I am fortunate that he is my doctor. His bedside manners are exactly what you look for in a doctor, caring, compassionate and let's not forget his knowledge! If all doctors were like him, there would be no aggrevation in seeing the doctor. I have found that the staff try their best and I have seen a few times frustration coming from that side of the desk yet let's remember that they are the ones that have to deal with the people who are quite bold when complaining about the time frame they have to wait for the doctor. It's not their fault that there are that many patients in Dr. Koby's roster. Everyone wants a great doctor. Dr. Koby has been my doctor for 15 years, have had a successful surgery by him and also had a beautiful baby girl delivered. With the shortage of doctors out there, I just hope he will not retire any time soon! It would be amazing should the waiting time improves yet I will keep my appointments nonetheless!

I have been going to Dr Koby for 30 years. He is by far one of the best doctors in the city. He has delivered my 2 children and my first grandchild. The only issue i have is his ofice staff with the exception of Dominque they are all rude and ignorant . Unfortunatly if we want to see Dr Koby we have to put up with the staff. I tend to just ignor them and if they are nasty I am just polite and walk away.

Dr. Koby has been my doctor for 2 years now, with my first pregnancy everything went well, until I gave birth, as my son was born with a clubfoot and that he never checked...but I assumed that he couldn't have noticed in the ultrasound. With my second pregnancy, I did my routine 'expensive' tests with CDL at the beginning of december, the results came in the next day...they never called as it was the 'holidays' at my next appointment in january the staff told me it was nothing!! Other tests come with a positive, Dr. Koby sent me to check out a website instead of informing me what it was or at least reassuring me. In the end...I lost the baby after an amnio! I do not recommend this doctor...

I have to say Thank you to Dr Koby and all his staff(especially Dominique). They are understanding and work extremely well under pressure. I gave Dr Koby a 5 on punctuality, just because I knew for every appointment I was going to wait 2 hours. I knew this in advance therefore he always met my time frame. I knew this before taking him on as a DR, but if you want the best for you child he is definately worth the wait. I strongly feel that if I didnt have Koby, I dont know what the outcome would have been as I have an Incom Cervix. He listened to my needs and concerns and addressed them appropiately.I am looking forward to having him deliver all my children. Koby Treated us practically like family, he is a genuine and caring person. As for paying for Ultrasounds, most people have insurance so this is not an issue. If you wanted you could go to the hospital for free.Him having an ultrasound machine in his office is convenience. I am out of space to write,I could write all day. Thank you

Didn't have any issues with the staff nor with Dr. Koby personally. However, if your appointment is not the earliest one, then waiting for an average of 2hrs is not my idea of a good time especially for a pregnant person. Wasn't too fond of paying $150 cash for an ultrasound.

If it weren't for Stefania his incredibly rude, uncaring receptionist I would go back to see this doctor. He is very conscientious and caring but it's obvious that his receptionist hates answering the phone, hates people and hates her job. Doesn't she realize that there are other jobs out there for people like her? I was going through a very difficult pregnancy and she showed absolutely no empathy, just pure rudeness. It's a shame he will lose patients over her.

I have been going to Dr.Koby for almost 10 yrs. He delivered both my girls. He is the best doctor. He and his staff got me through 2 very difficult pregnancies. They always made me feel better and explained to me whatever I needed to know, especially Terri (no longer there)& Dominique. Dr.Koby even came on the phone to speak to me when I was freaking out at the ante-natal clinic! He always came to see me whenever I was hospitalized and after my delivery. His waiting time is a little long but so is every other Dr's in this province! His office is clean and I never had a problem getting through to reception. Dr.Koby is very knowledgeable and extremely caring with his patients. He loves his job and will be there to deliver your baby no matter what, even at 4:00 in the morning! He also referred me to a fertility Dr when he realized I wasn't getting pregnant fast enough. Due to his quick thinking I was able to get prompt treatment and have 2 kids in 2 years! Thank You Guys!!Maria

Dr. K has been my GYN/OB for about 20 years. He is knowledgable and nice, and does take time to explain things to you. However, the waiting is terrible. I once sat there for over 5 hours and would have left had I not had a problem. However, my appointment had been booked months is advance. This is outrageous, and there is no excuse for this. His nurse is nice, but all other staff are rude, feel at ease in humiliating you, and have often left the door open for other patients to see me sitting there with my little sheet covering me. I have also heard them talk about other clients, so I don't think they are the least bit discreet. How he doesn't say anything is amazing, and quite upsetting.

I had a horrible experience with this dr. I had been spotting in my 2nd pregnancy and was to be admitted to hospital on a Friday (his hospital day)(after testing earlier in the week)on Wed I suffered a miscarriage in my home and called him immediately. I rushed down to his office where he performed a D&C and was given NOT so much as an aspirin for pain and wans't even told what he was doing!!! His nurse actually asked him if he was going to give me an anaprox?? He said "no I'm almost done". The pain was excruciating and the experience absoutely dreadful to this day (this was 15 yrs ago. I have often thought of suing him, and oh yes, he charged me for the procedure!!

Very knowledgeable Dr. who tries to please. Very experienced and competent. Staff is a nightmare. Slightly overweight when I started my last pregnancy and nurse told me I might break the scale..only 10lbs overweight at the time. I witnessed her tell another woman who became accidentally pregnant "better you than me". My husband and I were horrified by the staff and their extreme rudeness. When I put on 10lbs in one week due to water retention..another rude comment was made and I was laughed at for putting so much weight on... I cried my heart out two days before my daughter was born and nearly had a nervous break down but if you can ignore the staff and their hideous cruely this Dr. is very good.

Only gyno in Montreal that I have been to that actually takes the time to explain, patience and also shows you in detail what is happening to you. The most knowledgable I have had. Thank you! I agree that the staff is horrible in every way and lazy.

Dr Koby is the best gyno I have ever had. He took me in when I had pre-eclampsia and after 46 hours of labour he made sure to tell me how proud of me he was and made me feel special. With my second preganancy I had no problems. He alsways remembers who I am. I do however agree with the adminstrative workers in his office. They are very rude. Dr Koby needs to invest in computers!

To be blunt he is an excellent doctor but the way he runs his office is simply atrocious. Unacceptable. I`ve been in for 9.00am appt. and had to wait 2hrs...interesting considering he had only been open for an hour and no, he wasn`t out on a delivery. Has anyone seen his appt book? I snuck a peak once and there were 4 people booked concurrently every 15 minutes. How can he see 4 people at the same time? I`d also be very curious to know why he insists on being paid cash for his ultrasounds? Isn`t he making enough money overbooking and taking a cut from the plastic surgeon in his office? All in all his office is an unpleasant, disrespectful experience but considering the shortage of doctors what are your options?

I've been with Dr. Koby since 1986, and never had a complaint. He went above and beyond to deliver my 2nd baby (closed his office and rushed to the hospital) and was wonderful during a medical emergency I had.

Dr.Koby is great. Working with us every step of the way during our pregnancy. Though he seems late, it's due to the over-booking of his waiting room. Good Dr's are hard to find in Montreal, and this one delivers his own patiants which is "old school." He answers every question we have, and does not makes us feel like a bother. He knows pretty much everything within his field and then some. We're happy he's with us through our first pregnancy and look forward to many more with him.

Dr. Koby is wonderful. Extremely professional, honest and gentil. I have yet to meet a doctor of his calibre, unfortunatly, everything said about his staff is quite accurate. They are rude, unprofessional and its close to impossible to obtain ANYONE on the phone for an appointment. Be ready to dedicate a full day to obtaining an appointment and then be ready to dedidate a whole day for your appointment schedule. He is always 2 hours late. And during that time, you need to deal with the immature staff. Its not a pleasant experience although he is a wonderful doctor and very much worth your time.

The waiting time in the waiting room is awful... and so is the waiting time on the phone trying to get an appointment. It took 33 minutes just for someone to pick up the phone (and that's with using the redial button constantly; and I really do mean constantly)... and then I was immediately put on hold for 25 minutes (of course without even being asked to wait)... and then after that 25 minutes, someone just hung up on me... so I had to try again to get through... speed dial button again, it took 26 minutes for someone to pick up, and surprisingly enough they spoke to me (instead of putting me on hold)... and all this just to get an appointment. I basically spent about 1:30 minutes just for getting an appointment... RIDICULOUS! I understand that they are busy, but so is everybody else....

As everyone says the wait can be aweful. He is v knowledgable and I trust him with my life and that of the children I hope to have. When he performed my D&C he did an excellent job and was v supportful. He rushes too much during visitis and I don't feel comfortbale that he has really looked at all possibilities. He is not approachable and does not make eyecontact. I almost feel like I am bothering him by asking questions. He never remembers who you are either... I lost a child he was following, it would be nice if he remembered that and asked how i am doing. So bedside manners and support suck but competence is rated high.

I am shocked to see all of the positive comments. He is the worst doctor I have ever been to. He was my doctor for 10 years, mainly because I couldn't find another one. The receptionists are horrible, I have waited on hold for 1hr 15min. I didnt hang up because you're lucky that they answer!! I have also waited for more than 5 hours in the waiting room!!! If you are trying to conceive I DO NOT recommend him. This is not his area of expertise. He sent me on a wild goose chase of expensive tests that ended up being unnecessary. Instead of starting off with small test like blood and infections I was sent for vaginal x-rays!! I saw him often and every time it was as though he had never met me before. He really did'nt seem to care about my husband and I; whether or not I got pregnant. In the end I did not concieve with him I got fed up and changed doctors. I was pregnant within the year had a son and am pregnant again!!

Dr. Koby's office would greatly benefit from an 'overhaul'. Unfortunately, even though the staff are friendly, at times the atmosphere is just simply unprofessionnal and too informal. The physical space is also unfortunately usually cluttered (do they ever clean up the waiting room and organize the magazines?). The waiting time is usually downright ridiculous (maybe a time management course for the staff in order to manage and plan the appointments more efficiently for both patients and doctors would help?). It is a shame that the customer service experience is at a much lower level than the professionnal service (doctor knowledge, competence, manners, etc.); it's a huge discrepency that hits me everytime I set foot in this office. It is even more a shame since these problems could all be dealt with and resolved with minimal effort, time, money and energy.

Doctor Koby was my doctor for 16 years. He delivered my first child. I seperated from my husband when I was 4 months pregnant and could remember the day I had my ultrasound with my second child and started to cry. Dr Koby asked me what was wrong and when I told him I would be alone to bring this child into the world, he said to me "don't worry, I will be there with you." Unfortunately at 29 weeks gestation, my son was born still birth. Doctor Koby wasn't there, but I was releaseed early in the morning and he thought that he would see me at the hospital and didn't. He to the time to call me at home the day I was released and asked me how I was doing. I trusted him entirely and was glad that he was my Ob/gyn for all those years.

Dr Koby was my gynecologyst & obstrectition about 30 years ago. I was impressed and satisfied with his politeness and knowledge-all the way untill my delivery. Sorry to say, as I trusted and respected him.I don't want to put him down professionally, it just happend so that he was not very helpful TO ME. I was 10 days overdue and was induced early 7 or 8 am. I was going to be brave and went without epidural all the way to the delivery table. Unfortunately I was trusted to a med.student (who could not even put the IV in my arm), later a brutal resident had to brake my water, and I was wheeled in the delivery room much too early, where I pushed for OVER 3 HOURS!! when finally Dr. Koby found time for me @ 6 pm( as he was delivering 2 other, unscheduled babies next door), while I was swollen & ripping from the inside (his words...) in this teaching hospital. ??!The only helpful nurse had to leave her shift. 2nd child @ home with midwifes! thank you! no ripping but plenty of attention!

Dr Koby is the best!!! He was my OBGYN for about 10 years and shepherded me through a difficult menopause with professionalism and honesty. I now live in Ottawa and I have yet to find a doc that comes close to his expertise and care. I trust him. I miss him. I'd pay good $$$ here in Ottawa to find a doctor of his calibre. His staff mean well but they are stretched to the max. A couple of new hires and an office tech overhaul wld help everyone.

I was so privileged to have Dr. Koby as my Ob/Gyn for 15 years. Unfortunately, I had to move and have yet to find another "Dr. Koby",as they're as rare as hen's teeth! The sejours in the waitingroom were not always pleasant, but usually it's a sign that the doctor is not rushing with his patient's care and concerns. Always a smile and friendly manner, but with a very professional approach. Dr. Koby was there for the birth of both my children, including waiting endlessly around for the second one to take action in the labour room. He was exhausted and went home to get some shut-eye, only to run back about an hour later to lead us through a wonderful birth. Thank you, Dr. Koby. I can still remember that on a certain August 14, 1984, he ordered his staff to hold off an important visitor in the office just to make sure all my concerns were completely taken care of. It was a singing birthday telegram for a person who deserves special treatment too!

I love this doctor - he has been my Gyno for over 25 years - what I do want to say is they need to use computers more for all their appointments - everything is written down in a Ledger and if you forget your own appointment, unless you know which week it was - they cannot find it.

Agree with all the comments about the on time rating...but he is so much worth the wait. I have also been a patient of Dr. Koby for years and came back to him after leaving the province for well over 10 years..still can rely on him...I try to have all my tests sent over to him so at least he can best see what is required and recommend specialists...Thanks Dr. Koby, even if am in my 60's I still need your expertise...and appreciate your care and knowledge...trust and caring are the most important thing to find in a doctor, and Dr. Koby you have it in my books.

Excellent doctor, very busy office. Take resposibility for your follow-up on blood tests, etc. Was once told that "everything was ok" when I called for results, but it turned out that the test was never actually done; I only found out at the next year's annual check-up. I redid the tests and there was an issue, which he took care of promptly. Be your own best doctor...You know your body better than anyone.. Have a written list of things you want to discuss, and Dr. Koby will take the time to discuss them with you. If you have good insurance coverage, use the CDL lab down the hall for your blood tests, pay the cash to have ultrasounds done in his office, pay for the advanced Pap test. Check out all the certificates on his walls--- Dr. Koby is totally up on all advanced techniques, etc. Isn't your health worth it?

Although it's true the waiting time maybe a little long at times, you learn to deal w/it. After registering, go downstairs & have some breakfast (morning's are the busiest)...take your time. It doesn't always take so long. today for instance, I was in & out of there in 1hr...besides, a busy Dr's office is a good sign. Dr. Koby & his staff are always friendly & helpful. Since this is my 1st pregnancy, I always have questions for him & he is more than happy to give me detailed answers. I never feel uncomfortable & I always leave there anticipating the birth of my child even more. Thanks Dr. Koby & staff!

After mentioning to someone that my ob/gyn is Dr. Koby, the next workd is "competent". He is very knowledgeable and has a great bed side manner. After having 2 complicated pregnancies, he made sure I was well takne care of and was very thorough with all his examinations. I now have 3 boys, all delivered by c-section by Dr. Koby and would not have wanted it any other way. Yes, he may not alwys be on time but he is worth the wait!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Rober Koby since 1978 when he had his office in Dorval. I am now in my late 40's and I still go to his downtown office once a year. I could not have asked for a better doctor in all these 28 years. He respects women, and it shows. He answers all my questions, is thorough in his examinations and does not make me feel the least bit uncomfortable. Dr. Koby, I hope you have time to read all these comments. They are a testimony to you and what a wonderful and compasionnate person you are. Thank You

I've been going to Dr. Koby since I was 19 years old, when he started in Dorval. He delivered both my daughters 24 years ago. Always feel comfortable and assured with him. I, too, wish he was on time more often but once a year I get to read a good book while waiting. Cheers to this grandfather whom I feel is an old friend. Hope he's around for a long time to come.

Though I no longer go to Dr. Koby (location change) he was always willing to listen, and to explain details of procedures. He was open to questions and even asked if I was a member of the medical profession when I did question him. He was there in the middle of the night to deliver my son by c-section. And I don't think that happens too often.

Dr. Koby is not only very smart but he's a breath of fresh air. He takes the time to listen, and while his exams are done quickly, he's thorough and very kind. He's one of the only doctors I know who always sees his patients in his office directly after an examination, no matter how full his waiting room is. I wonder if even he knows how rare, but how appreciated, this is? He never fails to provide guidance and excellent healthcare. He's an excellent doctor and I'm very lucky to have him. He's sometimes late but hey, he's an ob/gyn!
