Just a quick note to say I still miss Dr. Sharma. Even though we were forced to find a new family doctor, which by the way TOOK OVER A YEAR, none will compare to the way he helped our family. I am begining to think there are very few doctors in BC that actually care about their patients. I knew Dr. Sharma was there for us when we needed any treatment or just a shoulder to cry on. I miss you and hope sooo much they reinstate you so we can have you back. To the girls in the office,keep up the excellent work, you're awesome!

I was advised by the Federal Minisry of Health Office to contact "The Honorable George Abboutt, Minister of Health" Parliment Buildings Victoria BC V8V-1X4 regarding Dr.Sharma and not having a replacement Dr.available to his 3,000 plus patients.The College left the paients to fend for themselves. There is no Doctors in Vernon taking patients. ALl the Falkland Salmon Arm patients are to write to The Honorable George Abboutt @ BOx 607 Salmon Arm V1E 4n7. We need someone to help us until we can have our wonderful Dr. Sharma return to us.

Ya right!dr.sharama is a image of god. He did not betray his patients. He acciedently made a mistake which he should be forgiven for.It's not like the lady who had recieved the medicine had acctually died.If someother doctor had done this , the "PROBLEM" would of not even, gone out of his office.Now to all the people who dislike Dr.Sharma i have a message for you: You need a doctor, I need a doctor, we need a doctor and if you don't want Dr.sharma as a doctor, i do!!"PAIN IS NOT A DOCTOR"Also the medicine that Dr.Sharma had given to the 90 year old lady was not a prescription it was a sample and if doctor sharma was not allowed to give the sample to the lady then why did the government send it to him. ~ By: A 11 year old in kelowna. Dr. Sharma has been my Dr for more than 10 yrs.he is the finest Dr my wife and I have ever known. He takes time to talk and explain every thing to us. He is soft spoken and very kind and caring. He is a wonderful and respected Dr. He is loved and respected by all his patients and staff, and all who know him. Our country has a shortage of great people and great Drs.. Our Dr.Sharma is one of these people. If the college in all their great wisdom takes away his license to practice here, he will leave and go to some other place where he can practice medicine..Guess who losses,not the college of physicians & surgeons, how about the 4 or 5000 Vernon patients who will be left with no doctor..My wife and I are 67 & 69 yrs old, we will never find another great and wonderful caring Dr. like our Dr. Sharma. Memo to the college of Physicians & Surgeons, please take great care when you discipline our great and wonderful Doctor.

I am not a paitent of Dr Sharma's however, both my parents and my sister and her children see Dr Sharma. Over the past few years, Dr Sharma has exceeded my expectations of a doctor. He has been such a tremendous help to my parents and my sister.4 years ago my dad had to have heart surgery, and Sharma helped them thru that process right to the end. And thanks to him, my dad is in the best shape of his life at age 68! He has helped my parents thru all their health issues and concerns.Any time they have questions, hes there to answer them. In my opinion, and from what I have heard from many others in the Vernon Community, he is an extrodanary doctor, person and friend to all that see him. And with out patients being able to see him, including my parents, its a great loss. There are very few doctors, let alone good ones. Dr. Ramash Sharma is a good one. Irreplacable in many eyes. Where will these patients go without Dr.Sharma?

Dr. Sharma has been my doctor for over a decade, he has always been very thorough in every aspect of his care of myself. I was very impressed dr. Sharma's complete explaination of every test or sample that he took or ordered for me. Under Dr. Sharma's care I felt like a valued person with the right to be fully aware of my medical condition and any treatments that were perscribed.

Dr. Sharma has been my doctor for over 12 years, he has been the best doctor I have had in Vernon. He is very helpful, takes time to explain and help me with understanding my problems. I have found him very understanding and compansionate. I needed heart surgery in the past and he was very open to new ideas, like Chealation treatment, but also kept a watch on my condition. I was able to prolong surygery for a few years and when the time came I was able to have a newer type of bypas surgery which should last me a good 20 years. I hope they think VERY hard about what they will be doing to all of his patients if the do take his practice away. I know I do not know what I am going to do without him.

I have been a patient of Dr Sharma for a number of years as a physician and general practioner.Dr Sharma is an excellent, kind hearted,considerate and benevolent physician.Nowadays you will hardly find a physician that is willing to spend the extra time needed by his patients to support them, not only physically,but also psychologically..With our medical system today, the patient is merely,a non-person and almost funneled through in a mechanical grinder-in-and-out before you could finish a sentence, a priscription is ready as you are ushered out.on the other hand,we applaud ,commend and extol Dr Sharma's demeanor and principal in the way he treated us all, his patients. We will be waiting for Dr Sharma's return to his practice as soon as it's practical and possible.

Dr. Sharma is a very thorough and dedicated doctor.He always spends an ample amount of time during appt's , regardless of the number of issues you may have.He explains medical issues in as much detail as you need and in a manner you can comprehend.He has had to make numerous referrals for tests and specialist on my behalf and has never led me astray with any of my medical issues.He has even taken the time out to personally write letters to an insurance company when he thought I was not being treated fairly.My family and I miss him dearly,are worried about his future and are deeply concerned as to how we will replace him should we be forced into that situation.Vernon needs Dr. Sharma.

very copetent, speaks most of Indian/Pakistani languages, which is very helpfull for the people who cannot speak english.Venon Comunity canot without him. Good luck and good wishes for him and his family. I wish there would be more doctors like him.who understand the need of the people.

I am dismayed and disappointed with the way Dr. Sharma has been treated. I also miss him as my primary care physician. Dr. Sharma was the family doctor for my husband and I, as well as my father-in-law. After moving to the Okanagan 15 years ago, I went to Doctor after Doctor looking for a physician who was professional, intelligent, and well trained who would actually listen to me. I was thrilled when we finally found Ramesh Sharma. I sincerely hope the College of Physicians and Surgeons use common sense and reinstate the license of this wonderful physician.

I have been going to see Dr. Sharma for several years. So do my children. I trust the man completely. I feel that he has compassion for people and that he is truely a remarkable doctor. I fear for the worst for him and selfishly think " what will my family do without him!" I hope that he continues in his practice, doing what he does best and that is caring about and helping heal people. We need more doctors like him in this world.

Do the College of Physicians and Surgeons really know this Doctor, this man?? We really need this doctor of ours here.He helps so many of us with our language problem when we are sick.No other Dr. here speaks our language...what about my grandmother...she speaks no English. He has been very kind, caring and helpful to us. He is a good Dr., and a safe one who we trust. Please let him come back to his office.He is the best doctor my family has ever had.

We are dismayed at the treatment that has been levelled out to the best Family Practice Doctor there ever was. I have nursed in B.C. hospitals for many decades and I've seen first hand the compassionate care his patients received. I have also been a patient of Dr. Sharma for many years. I can't say enough about his practice! He is careful, understanding, will listen when we need to talk to him, and his treatment has been beyond reproach. He quickly refers to a specialist when it is necessary. Another great characteristic is his ability to teach his patients as he treats them. They always know why he is ordering medications and treatments. Please, I plead with the College of Physicians and Surgeons to consider carefully what they will be doing to his many patients if they curtail his practice in any way.

Have never been to the man myself but have many friends caucasion and middle eastern that have him. I feel he should be given and medal for trying to help that woman not be stripped of his right to practice medicine. We treat our animals more humanily at the time of severe illness than we do ourselves. I say if he was trying to assist an elder that was terminally ill to leave this world for the better one with grace and dignaty than I say Good On You Dr. Sharma!! I only wish I had the pleasure of being your patient!

I have liked Dr Sharma right from my first appointment with him, which was over 10 years ago. He was just so nice, very kind, and continues to be. He has always been present, has always treated me with value and respect - has always listened. He has been an encourager and motivator, and has always been there for me to do what he can for me as a patient. How awesome is that! He has always been knowledgable and always been helpful. I like Dr. Sharma - I think he's a good person, a good human being, and his heart is in the right place.

Dr. Sharma has been my family doctor for over 10 years, through that he has seen me through cat scans eeg's all the way through the bad rear ender i was hit in.He knows each and every one of his patients on an actual personal level, and really pays attention to what is going on with you. He is a wonderful doctor and man, I really hope that he gets back to practice soon. The only bad part for me is I've been on a strong narcotic for four years, so I had to find a different Dr. to take care of me for that, But no one will ever replace Dr. Sharma as my doctor. Just because he can't perscribe narcotics doesn't mean I shouldn't still see him...but now I'm worried that that's exactly whats gonna happen....PLEASE LET HIM PRACTICE!!! He is THE BEST DOCTOR THERE IS!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr.Sharma's for 14 years.I feel like he is part of my extended family.I have 100% trust and faith in Dr.Sharma's knowledge and ability as a physician.Not only is he a great physician but he is a wonderful,kind,and compasionate man. The reason I only rated him a 3 on punctuality is not because he is late of his own accord but because he has such a HUGE practice he consistently makes the effort to squeeze in any patients that truly need to be seen that day and also because if a patient only booked a regular appointment but ended up having a bigger problem than originally thought,Dr. Sharma would not push them out the door,but would very patiently and compasionately LISTEN.I have never minded waiting because I knew that when my turn came,I would be LISTENED TO and I would NOT feel rushed AND I would feel like my concerns were genuine and important regardless of how trivial they really were.My family and I are truly blessed to be a part of Dr.Sharma's practice! :)

Dr. Sharma is the best Dr. I have had.I,m 65 yoa.It is to bad that there are people at the top of the college of physicians & Surgeons who are real a-hole and have put Dr. Sharma thru such an ordeal. All these top people that I,m referring to should be deprieved of their high paying jobs and sent to the north country so that the wolves could have a good feed. It is such a shame that this is happening to this man I am a businessman myself and would help this man to no end. This Dr. also has a wife and childen. DO-NOT these ignorant college of P&S see this and can not they see what they are doing. It,s a total shame. Dr.Sharma is the most compasionate,patient oriantated, doctor I have ever had. His concern and interest is apparent from the moment you enter the office. Dr.Sharma puts you at ease and is totally easy to talk to about even the most private of matters and never makes you feel out of place or helpless. The amount of respect I and my entire family have for him is unmeasurable, he helped us throught the recent passing of my mother from Lukemia, he was a great comfort to my mother, and our entire family. What I appreciate the most about Dr.Sharma is that he takes no chances with your health, if he feels that another Doctor or specialist would serve you better, he imediatly gets you to see them. I depend on Dr.Sharma and do not know what I would do without him. If you have the opertunity to become his patient jump on it. He has treated my dads heart, my PCOD,my niece for diabeties, my sister for her hysterectomy and much more with total professionalism. We all feel he's number one. Our Hero!

He is the best docter in Vernon, he does not perscribe medications that he knows you are allergic to, if he does not know what is wrong, he will send you to some one who can find out. If you really need a medication and cannot afford it he will give samples if he has them, and knows his patients very well.

Now I cannot see him because his license has been pulled. It wasn't supposed to happen until June. Now what am I supposed to do? Where do I go from here?

Dr. Sharma is a fabulous doctor. I always have a million questions for him and he never seems to mind. He is very thorough and is a great listener. Although he is often running late, I don't mind because I know that someone needs that extra time and I am glad he is willing to give it. I also really like that he is not a presciption pusher. He will try to find a reason for the ailment before prescribing something unecessarily.

At the risk of sounding melodramatic, in my humble opinion, this doctor is a prince among physicians.His kindness, concern,knowledge and outstanding manner in which he has treated me has made me feel at times as if I were the only patient in the world and Dr. Sharma was willing to devote all the time I needed, no matter how long it took. What an incredible change from the expedient haste I have experienced with other physicians.This man is an anchor for my family,both physically and emotionally, and I am proud to be among his fortunate patients.

Ramesh is one of those rare doctors who works with one to come up with a diagnosis and treatment. Too many doctors feel that they need to be authoritarian and tell us what is best for our bodies. Ramesh, on the other hand, understands that the owner of the body is the only person who truly knows what is going on. Then he uses his knowlege base to work, fairly holistically, with the person. If he disagrees, he says so, but he stays open to alternative possibilities. He doesn't try to shove anything down one's throat. He does have a great sense of humour and we all know that laughter is the best medicine. His staff are friendly and helpful and the whole experience (except for waiting too long, too often-- but that's because he takes time with people) is one of pleansantness.

Fabulous Doctor, lovely staff. ALways has time for his patients. He is like Dr. House as far as his ability to diagnose and treat medical problems!! Dr. Sharma's personallity is outstanding!!
