Dr. Carmody is simply outstanding! He takes his time with you and always answers your questions. He did my recent back surgery for a herniated disk and I am now pain free for the first time in years! He carefully explained the surgery to me and what I could expect after it. While I was extremely anxious about it, it went so smoothly and exceed all my expectations. I recommend him very highly!

Dr Carmody is great. I am very pleased with our surgical results, my back feels like I am a kid again. He is an excellent, empathetic, talented surgeon...use him!

Dr Carmody fixed a back problem that I have suffered with for 35 years. Former doctors just told me that there was nothing wrong. The whole experience was very kind, professional, and has changed my life.

New patient but second scoliosis surgery. Very successful even though some activities are limited as I had a double curve of about 50 and 52 degrees. The rods from my first surgery broke, poor fusion in one place. All metal was removed and replaced. Dr. Carmody used everything he knew to insure it would not happen again. He is the best, very skilled, very caring, very attentive, with a great staff.

I recomend Dr. Carmody to everyone I talk to with back pain. I went to him for a consultation because my Internist wanted me to get his opinion before I started decompression therapy with a Chiropractor. Dr. Carmody told me to do anything I can to avoid surgery. I did undergo the expensive decompression and it only made it worse. The best decision I ever made was to ask Dr. Carmody to operate on my back. He was wonderful and the surgery was so much easier that all the pain I went through before. I still have problems with other areas of my back and spine and I totally trust Dr. Carmody to recomend what is best for me.

Simply amazing! He made sure I understood what was wrong, why I was having the syptoms I was, and how he could help me. He explained each step of the surgery and the results I could expect. He was even concerned about where he would make the incision so that it would be the least noticable. I would recommend Dr. Carmody in a heartbeat.

I had been dealing with extreme lower back pain for 4 years. The six months prior to seeing Dr. Carmody were the worst. He diagnosed me as having a herniated disk and said I needed a mico-diskectomy. He scheduled me for the following week. The surgery went perfect and I went hope within 4 hours of having my surgery. It is 6 weeks later now and I feel perfect. Words can''t explain how much better I feel. Thank you Dr. Carmody! I have already referred at least 10 people I know to him. Also, my surgery was at at the Baylor Medical Center off of 75 and the tollway. They were GREAT!

I went to see Dr. carmondy with severe pain down my arm. After seeing my MRI he recommended surgery fusing 3 discs in my neck, one being very herniated. I foolishly declined. After trying PT without relief I decided to go ahead with the surgery. After the surgery I spent only one night in the hospital and went home only feeling minor soreness. At home I didn't feel I needed the neck brace but I did use my memory touch pillow. Dr. Carmody is very knowledgeable, skilled and honest. I had heard negative stories of what other people had experienced with similar or less surgeries, so I had been so reluctant to have surgery, but I'm so glad I had Dr. Carmody do my surgery. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Carmody is our hero. Ron and I adore him. He is personable, professional and highly skilled in his field of medicine. We trust his judgement completely and would not hesitate in recommending him to our loved ones and friends.

Had Dr. Carmody when he was back in Illinois. He does great work and is very knowledgeable. He was by far the best spine specialist I have known. I had been to many doctors before visiting Dr Carmody to no avail. He looked at my tests and right away knew what was wrong. Worked with me to avoid surgery and recovered well.
