I have been a diabetic for 18 years. I fired several endocrinologists before finding Dr. Jabbour. My experience with Dr. Jabbour tells me that he is the most attentive, understanding, competent and responsive endocrinologist that I have encountered thus far. He answers all questions thoughtfully and does not rush me. The support staff seem competent but they could smile once in a while.

I've had a string of endocrinologists since being diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic 7 years ago. Dr. Jabbour is BY FAR the best doctor i've ever gone to. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about insulin pumps [which i have], he generally cares about you and constructively helps you make a plan to reach your health goals, whether it be to lose weight or to test your sugar more often. i can ask him about any questions i have and feel confident about his answers. i would definitely recommend dr. jabbour to anyone diabetic, looking for someone that won't yell at you, but will help you as much as he can!

I felt like I was like a product being run through a factory on a conveyor belt. His staff is very good, with the exception of one or two grumps, but each visit, I had to go through four levels of people before he finally came in and I spent progressively less time with each person the closer I came to him (i.e., 20 minutes in the lobby, 15 minutes the the weight/blood pressure, temp technician, 10 minutes with a resident or intern who actually talked to you a little about your health and then 5 minutes with Dr. Jabbour. Also he seemed far more focused on the fact I need to lose weight than on the fact that my pcp had just diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, and I would have liked to know something about it, wasn't sure of my treatment, etc. I'm sure he's very knowledgeble, but he didn't seem interested in treating me as a person rather than a number. The phone systems is also designed to ensure you never actually speak to a human. The whole experience was very alientating.
