:) Click to report rating    3/5/10 1 1 5 I lost my drivers license to a diagnosis of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy that does not cause loss of consciousness nor control. Dr. Ijaz got my license back. However, on a second issue, I am on my 5th attempt to get him to respond with documentation. He knows his stuff and is keen to help, but you kinda have to keep on him and his staff if you need forms or documentation returned to you.

:( Click to report rating    2/7/10 1 1 1 Worst Dr. ever. Do NOT see him. He provided my family physician with inaccurate notes. Mixed me up with my husband (who passed away 12 years ago). I am having severe numbness and tingling in both legs. Ijaz got me to stand up and said since I wasn't falling over it isn't serious. He said if you fall down and can't get up or if you wake up one morning unable to move come back and we will think about doing tests!!! Is he kidding or completely unhinged? I am only 50 for goodness sake. Not that he should think this is acceptable at any age! I told him that if I waited that long I was sure there would be some sort of damage and I walked out. He is incompetent at best and probably dangerous.

:) Click to report rating    11/4/09 2 5 5 My doctor referred me to dr. Ijaz and I had an appointment within days. I looked him up on this site and became nervous because he had such bad reviews... But honestly only negative feed back ever gets around. If you are going to see this doctor, and you are as nervous as I was, don't be. He was wonderful. He cared about what was wrong. He is making an effort to find out what is wrong, and he was incredibly polite. When I'm nervous I usually crack a couple jokes to ease the moment, and the typical reaction I get from doctors is serious... But Ijaz even cracked a few back at me. Very nice man, excellent doctor.

:( Click to report rating    10/30/09 2 3 1 My Aunt who is 85 was referred to Dr Ijaz for tremors and shaky hands, also voice problems. She was in his office for 5 minuets and was told she doesn't have parkinsons. He didn't ask about her history or order any tests to find out the cause of her symptoms. His solution to her problem was a prescription for a nerve pill! We will not be taking her back to him!

:( Click to report rating    8/18/09 3 1 1 I was referred by my Dr. for severe electric shock like pain in my head. The quack looked at me and said I looked fine!!! That was my check up. No blood or urine test and I felt like I was dying. Ended up in ER and Dr.G.Jones found my liver reading were 300pts over normal levels which was causing the pains in my head and body. The quack should be told that you can't just look at someone and say you look fine so, therefore you are fine. The quack also prescribed a anti-depressant!!!! He thought I was crazy. Thank God for Drs. like Dr.Jones who by my symptoms knew there was something wrong with me in a matter of 5 minutes! NEVER go to this quack...he can't be a real Doctor! Do not trust your life with this quack!

:( Click to report rating    4/18/09 3 2 1 Terrible Dr. He wrote a report that was inaccurate and sent it to my family Dr. I think he may have confused me with another patient. I agree with the person who asked if he has a license

:) Click to report rating    1/6/09 5 5 5 After being misdiagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy for a year and a half, I had to go to the hospital for breathing trouble and extreme muscle weakness. Dr.Ijaz and his resident were extremely helpful. They did every test possible, and confirmed that I had Myastenia Gravis NOT Muscular Dystrophy. After being told by my two previous neuro's that there was nothing I could do and no medication I could take, Dr.Ijaz prescribed medication that has helped dramatically. After having speech and swallowing problems for over a year, I now have no trouble eating or talking again!! On my follow up visits, Dr.Ijaz has been extremely helpful and knowledgable, going over all test results and referring me to whoever I need to see. My quality of life has improved so much thanks to this doctor. I am extremely grateful and would recommend him to anyone.

:( Click to report rating    12/10/08 3 3 1 Saw him in emergency with a small stroke, when daughter-in-law asked what so expect in the future- he said "she is Old and she smokes, what do you think? I am a smokers, yes, but that does not cause EVERYTHING and I am NOT old I am 64...which in CANADA is not old. Lousy bedside manner. Will not see again.

:( Click to report rating    10/23/08 4 2 1 My doctor referred me to him because I'm numb from the waist down and she couldn't find anything wrong on the outside. This specialist treated me as if I was making it up because he continually told me he couldn't physically see anything wrong with me...isn't that why I'm seeing a neuroogist. He kept telling me I must have ate something bad and to just take it easy, it'll go away. I asked him what if I lost my job and defaulted on my mortgage because of this and he said "stuff happens". Well this problem hasn't gone away and I'm seeing someone else.

:( Click to report rating    4/4/08 1 2 1 Stay away from this "doctor" if you have west nile virus. He is not aware it exists, and he will try to treat you as a depressed person. He has no idea what west nile virus is or what it involves.

:( Click to report rating    2/6/08 5 3 1 My husband has been going to him for 2 years for epileptic seizures. So far (2 years later) He is always in extreme pain and has only tried him on one medication. He doesn`t try to find out why he is getting these seizures, just that he has to live with them. I don`t know what is worse that or the pain I see him endure everyday.

:( Click to report rating *  1/23/08 4 3 1 Ijaz's staff is wonderful. Reception is run by his wife and daughter. Who are both sweethearts. Ijaz himself seems to know his stuff and seems really helpful. He prescribed me a medication to counter the headaches caused by my anti depressants. And it's worked wonders. He does however say he will book tests to be done and never does though... Which is why his rating from me will suffer accordingly

:( Click to report rating    9/7/07 2 2 1 Is this doctor qualified? Does he have a licence to practise? I found him very confused, very unorganized and he kept asking what I am there for. He lost my file and it appeared he was guessing. He even had my gender mixed up. I spent a week in emergency waiting for a decision.

:( Click to report rating    8/2/07 1 2 1 Dr. Ijaz is the worst doctor I have ever seen. His lack of knowledge with MS is astounding. I have seen him for 4 months and had to go to the Regina emergency with my MS problems and I learned more from the dr on call in 20 minutes than I learned from Ijaz in 4 months. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

:( Click to report rating    4/7/07 2 2 I was transferred to Dr. Ijaz as my regular neurologist is away for awhile. I have MS and he is NOT helping me at all. I go to him for regular consultations and he really doesn't care what I have to say.

:) Click to report rating    3/4/07 4 5 I first saw Dr. Ijaz after suffering what was suspected as a minor stroke. He was very thorough and quickly arranged booking of a CT Scan. The CT Scan confirmed what he thought had happened...a small stroke. Dr. Ijaz told me to give him a call anytime if I had any other symptoms and he would see me on a priority basis. He told me to keep in touch by having an appointment with him every three months otherwise. When some of the symptoms persisted, he responded with ordering some more tests which eventually lead to confirm I also had the early stages of MS. Contrary to other people on this site I have found Dr. Ijaz to be very helpful and professional.

:( Click to report rating    2/10/07 3 1 Misdiagnosed - kept changing his mind. Hmmm-epilepsy or not epilepsy! After only 1 siezure!Did not send for additional tests that he said I would be going for. Just prescribed medication, no follow up. I had to call numerous times to get tests, appointments, etc. Office is not well organized at all - lost my file and tests every time I saw him. Will never see him again.

I could not walk anymore and had shaking and falling incidences although after my first mri did not find an answer for me and just said I was going to have to live with it.He would not answe phone calls or return messages. Totally the worst.
