Dr. Basson seems more concerned with patient turnover than he does with patient care. During my most recent visit, he interrupted our conversation to take a personal call about purchasing ipod accessories at some length. During this visit, I started to ask Dr. Basson about treatment options and he rudely interrupted to iterate that he was under no circumstances going to prescribe narcotics. My question was about physiotherapy, not prescription medicine, and had he waited a moment, he would have heard me. This is an arrogant, presumptuous jackass of a doctor. In the future, I'll be seeking care from walk-in clinics (and not his). A total waste of time, unprofessional, and uncaring.

He was very unhelpful and was in a foul mood when I returned after his "advice" failed to clear up the problem. Completely misdiagnosed my problem and was a complete jerk about it. Would not recommend this guy to anyone. Creepy.

Maybe the reason his front staff are so rude is because when they were hired, they were all promised 20.00 per hour, and after they were hired, they were all told that 5.00 per hour would be taken off of their wage. Six women quit right away and it seems like just a business to the doctors and not a place where they care about their patients. What a cold thing to do to their own staff!

Does not follow up with abnormal lab results or standard procedures. Does not respond to repeated phone calls. Does not refer to specialist when the issue is very clearly out of his knowledge base. Almost prescribed a dangerous quantity of med before I pointed it out and he tore the prescription up. Gave a blank lab requisition form to a fellow patient. Sees too many patients and seems to not care, or just does not have time to do his job properly. Frighteningly poor service.

Very smart doctor, and very friendly, nice smile!! Not my regular doctor, but he's in the same office as my doctor. I wished he was my doctor. Very cute!!

I love Dr. Basson. I think he's just AWESOME. But like a prior person said, you feel like cattle being herded around in that office. There is no empathy, compassion, or even gentleness in the office staff. You can really tell they just don't care about you and it's nothing but a job to them. They can barely get along with eachother let alone the patients that come in and wait for a close to an hour to see the dr. You have plenty of time to really observe the front office and I think they should be working in a warehouse not a medical office.

I really miss the old clinic, where did they get the new staff, they are rude, and ignorant. I had to make 2 trips and 6 phone calls to finally find out the proper name and address of the specialist my son was to see!! I make appointments in advance and still I waited over an hour, I realize Dr. Basson is busy and emergencies happen, but the front end staff have been forgetting to pull files, they seem to be more inclined to fight amungst each other in front of patients. In a nutshell get some proper front end staff, please, you are a great Dr. in every way but that, you are knowledgable and very thurough in your job and we love you, but like you our time is valuable so personally I miss the other clinic!!

WOW!!!! The front staff are so rude. I made an appointment a month in advance and I showed up for a it a bit early. I let the front staff at know I was there. I waited over an hr and it wasnt until my friend was texting me telling me that at that office they sometimes forget to pull your file. So, lone and behold I went up and asked and the receptionist did forget to pull my file. She was so rude and just brushed it off like it was no big deal. I dunno if it was because Im young but either way, treat the clients the same way you would like to be treated. I think Dr Basson just needs some new front desk staff because in the end it shows poorly on him. He did help me tho and was totally cool about everything. But seriously, someone needs to do something about the front staff....so so so rude...

Dr.Basson is the best! He always has a smile & a joke even if he is tired and over worked. If he does not know what is wrong he will immediately send you to someone else and not be ashamed of letting you know that he does not have the answer. I must admit however that since the Stevenson change there have been problems, I miss just talking to his two wonderful assistance, now we have a bunch of strange unfriendly women at the desk who messed up my annual check up THREE times. But as far as Dr. Basson goes he is the BEST!!!

I saw Dr. Basson in the drop in clinic (that is there when the staff can't accomaodate you upstairs), and I must say that he is a very smart man. He had an answer to my problem in no time flat.I work in a doctor's office, and believe me, I know how busy these doctors are. It never stops all day long, every single day they are there. At the end of the week, the doctors and the staff are "done". They very much look forward to the weekend. But, Dr. Basson will go out of his way from the office to help even more, and believe me, there are some docs that won't do that. I personally like him alot, and I always have a tremendous amount of repect for these Docs that go above and beyond what is expected of them. Good work, Paul, and I am very happy with your service. As for the staff upstairs in the office, well, unless you have worked in a doctor's office and have listened to patients yelling at you over the phone all day, and try to keep a smile on your face, well, its hard.

I have seen a few doctors over the years and Dr. Basson is by far the best that there is. He has delivered both of my babies - even switching his on call days to be there. If that's not a doctor dedicated to his patients, I don't know what is. I agree with previous comments about the practice since it's moved into the new location. I got to know both girls in the old office and fell in love with them. The new staff is cold, unfriendly and just plain rude!! I think the doctors should sit in the waiting room to see how their patients are being treated by one of the front girls in particular.

Since the office has been changed to Stevenson medical, things have been going downhill. The staff is rude, sterile, and cold, seems all they are intersted in is pushing the people through as quickly as possible! At my last appointment I waited over an hour to see Dr.Basson and he ended up being irritable and rushed. I did not feel comfortable and felt like my appiontment was a huge waste of time. It's too bad because he's been my doctor for years now, and up till now I have really appreciated him. But I can't stand walking into that medical office and feeling like we are all a bunch of cattle stuffed in a small space waiting forever to see a doctor!!

he is very thorough and takes all kinds of tests for eliminating greater problems. I have nothing but respect for Paul and his bedside manner is just awesome..

Dr Basson has been my doctor for many years, yes on times he may be late, but remember a baby does not choose when to be born, and emergencies do happen. When I go in I ask him only 1 or 2 things, short and sweet, but if he feels that any of these things are an emergency he will act immediately... ie he found skin a bit funny looking did a removal immediately and found skin cancer, he did not make me wait for an appointment to have it taken out.....He is a great doctor and as a family we have no complaints... trust me people there are worse drs out there

doesn't know much about babies. Very old fasioned in his advice on breastfeeding and formula. The staff at the front are BRUTAL. You can hardly get an appointment for 2 weeks ahead let alone having your appointment actually on time!

Even though his front counter staff is brutal, I swear she checks the call display and picks and chooses who she answeres, Dr. Basson is an awesome doc, and guess what they are human and they have bad days to, so keep that in mind when you are slamming him, he is busy, plus he has a family that may want to see him from time to time. Maybe now that his office is getting more docs he won't be as stretched. Great knowing you Dr. Basson and keep up the fabulous work!!!

I know that the wait time in his office isn't his fault, but when i DO finally get in to see him i wish he would at least PRETEND to not be in such a hurry. We always feel rushed. When i was pregnant he booked an induction appointment for me before my actual due date! Now he suggested giving my 4 month old cereal at night to help her sleep. I am looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Basson is a wonderful doctor. He is very thoughtful and concerned about his patients. He encourages questions and his very helpful. It is not his fault that someone has to wait for an appointment. Are you aware of the Doctor Shortage?

Dr. Basson is a great Dr. He is very thorough and knows what he is talking about. I never feel rushed and I feel that he is very smart when it comes to my baby and what she should eat. Plus he is super HOT!!!! mmmm

I was having trouble with breastfeeding my 2 month old. He suggested that I start formula feeding and that my baby was growing up and that it was time to let go!! At 2 months?? Very unknowledgable and unsuportive when it comes to breastfeeding and starting babies on solids. Very old fasioned!

We had no family doc and he took our family on when our son had an allergic reaction, yes his wait time is long, but show me a doc who doesn't have a long office wait and I will show you a bad doc. He is very knowlegeable and approachable, and very thurough in his pratice and it is too bad we don't have more docs like him!! Thanks Dr. Basson, I appreciate everything you have done for me and my family!!

Seems to care more about making the big bucks with the botox treatments etc than seeing to his regular patients. Wait times to get an appointment are impossible. Sure he is cute and is charismatic but I've definitely seen more knowledgeable physicians in the past.
