30/11/13 2 1 1 1 Extremely rude and inconsiderate doctor. Lacking such care and concern I refuse to see him at the walk-in clinic.  Respond

31/10/11 4 5 5 5 By far the best doctor I've ever had. you can set your watch by him, if you have an appointment at 2pm he's seeing you at 2pm. He listens to his patients concerns and then gives you his reasoning behind a decision, and never rushes you out the door. He's personable and easy to talk to. It's never really nice going to the doctor's but with Dr Bland, the experience is the best it could possibly be.  Respond

18/08/11 5 4 1 3 Dr. Bland lived up to his name! He seemed genuinely unimpressed to see myself and my 3 year old. I brought my child to him because my regular Dr was away and she was having ongoing respiratory issues. He looked her over like a dog at a dog show, told me her mouth was full of cavities and that she had a cold. Later I found out she had no cavities and Asthma. I was, however, horrified. I don't think Dr. Bland is incompetent, I think he's just a jerk.  Respond

29/12/10 3 3 5 4 Dr.Bland may not be warm and fuzzy but he was very pleasant and always took the time to chat with me no matter how busy he was. If he didn`t know what was wrong he referred me on to a specialist (if warranted). One of the best Dr.s I`ve ever had, unfortunately we moved. I would recommend him to anyone.  Respond

29/09/10 1 5 1 2 Being my doctor for over 5 years, you usually have go go in with a diagnosis from someone else before he will do anything. He seems to be in a hurry to get you out the second you walk in. My advice is go into a walk in clinic and you will likely get someone who actually cares.  Respond

05/02/10 3 3 1 1 I saw Dr.Bland at a walk-in. He was paid to examine myself as well as my 2 yr old daughter. He looked at me and said I had the common cold. He glanced down at my daughter and said she had the same thing. I informed him that she had a fever for 5 days and he still said the common cold. 2 days later we went to our family doctor where we were actually examined and we both had broncitis and my daughter had an ear infection. It was unfortunate to have wasted his time and mine.  Respond

01/02/10 5 4 5 5 The best doctor ever. He reminds me of House (without the bad habit). Diagnosed me, repaired me, fixed me. Sent me to a specialist when needed. Made my quality of life 100% better. Kicked me out the door when I was wimpy... Don't blame him, most people are looking for a new mommy. Doesn't waste time with nonsense. Uses the correct tools to diagnose an illness.  Respond

21/01/09 5 5 4 4 WELL DO NOT EXPECT DR.BLAND TO BE PERFECT AFTER ALL HE IS HUMAN.IF HE HAS ANY FAULTS IT IS THAT HE ARTICULATES TO PATIENTS ON A PROFEESIONAL LEVEL THUS AND I HAVE FOUND IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS SAYING. DON,T BE IMPATIENT AND DO NOT EXPECT MEDS UNLESS IT IS WARRENTED, SPEAK TO HIM IN A VERY PRECISE MANNER AND REPEAT TILL U ARE SATISFIED HE HAS HEARD YOU AND UNDERSTANDS. REPITITION IS HELPFUL IF BACKED UP WITH A CERTAIN LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ON YOUR PART. HE CAN BE VERY GOOD IF YOU WORK WITH HIM. I HAVE SEEN HIM MANY TIMES SINCE LAST JULY GIVE HIM A CHANCE HE IS GOOD. DO WORK WITH YOUR DOCTOR. DR.BLAND WILL BE GOOD IF YOU INFORM HIM FACTUALLY.DON'T EXPECT MEDS FOR EVERY PROBLEM.  Respond

29/05/08 1 5 1 1 uhmmm....okay, I really can't stand this doctor. I seen him about ten maybe 12yrs ago, i was suffering from stomach pains, i told him that it was soo bad that I couldn't take it anymore. When I had said that, took that as a suicide attempt and put me in the psych ward. I couldn't believe it. He was very rude to me and made me feel like I was a useless piece of crap. I now look back, I totally think he should not be in business. He should have his license to practise medicine taken away. I have strong feelings on this matter and am still very bitter about it. I wonder if he reads this? He probably doesn't remember this incident, probably could care less. He is an arrogant jerk. NO ONE GO TO HIM IF YOU HAVE STOMACH PAINS!!! oh yea, it turned out I didn't belong in the psych ward and was released the next day!  See Responses

25/03/08 2 4 2 2 Went to weekend clinic and saw Dr Bland for an inflammed right knee (bursa sac). He would not give me a prescription for anti-inflammatory drugs.. said just take a lot of ibuphrofen. These over the counter drugs do not work for me. Could not sleep that night, had to wait until next day, then went back to clinic to see an intelligent Doctor, got proper drugs, and inflamed knee was Ok within a day. Saw Dr Bland about two years ago, and had a similar encounter. He seems to diagnose quite rapidly without a lot of thought. Kind of like "take and aspirin and don't call me back" attitude.  Respond

20/01/08 1 3 1 1 Misdiagnosis re:bladder infection even with the lab results in front of him. Wrong antibiotic and daughter's conditionm worsened. He thought she may have strep throat even though her lab results from a urine sample exhibited high e.coli, high RBC and high WBC plus a fever and frequent painful urination. These results clearly indicate a UTI. She suffered needlessly and two days later another doctor diagnosed her with a UTI with potential kidney involvement and placed her on the proper antibiotic. Poor treatment and incorrect diagnosis meant our daughter got sicker instead of better with his treatment.  Respond

13/10/07 2 4 2 3 Had this doctor as a substitute when mine on holidays. Asked me why y doctor had issue a certain medication as it was useless. Their offices are next to each other. I felt this was highly unprofessional and if he had a question, could wait until mine was back and ask him!  Respond

14/03/07 2 1 1 I went to see Dr. Bland for 15 years, on one visit I was convinced I had kidney stones, all he wanted to do was give me muscle relaxers for a back sprain, after three days in pain I finally went back and told him I had kidney stones, he still did'nt beleive me until I showed him the stone that I had passed, it was large enough that it should have been broken up in the hospital three day earlier.....We as people will normally understand what is happening in our own bodies and he should learn to listen to his patients better and be more caring and considerate  Respond

13/03/07 4 2 2 Needs to listen to what the patient is saying instead of assuming he knows the full extent of the problem after a very cursory examination. Would not recommend  Respond

12/03/07 4 1 1 sure he's on time, but. . . i would much rather wait and get a CORRECT diagnosis!! I saw this jackass for several years and he screwed up on 3 different occasions: kept throwing different pills at me( "try this one, maybe it'll work better than the other one") for something that he completely misdiagnosed. I have since been informed that these several years of mistreatment have done irreparable damage. He told me that a spot on my skin could be cancerous, scaring the crap out of my family and I and when I finally got into the specialist over a week later the specialist looked at me like I was an idiot for thinking it was cancer! HE told me I should NEVER go back to Bland again!! AND he misdiagnosed a VERY simple problem (gave the same symptoms to 2 other doctors and they diagnosed it correctly in about 30 seconds!)that is now going to require MAJOR surgery to correct because it went unchecked for so lonG!!! I agree with an earlier poster==>RUN THE OTHER WAY IF YOU SEE THIS GUY COMING!  Respond

22/02/07 5 5 5 At my last appointment, Dr. Bland was 7 minutes early. I have never waited more than 5 minutes. I feel that he is honest and compassionate and I know that he treats me with respect. He is very knowledgeable, and he refers when he assesses that it would be helpful. He never over-prescribes. I think that if more doctors were like him our medical system would not be in its perceived crisis.  Respond
