Richard is a fabulous doctor who takes time with his patients. He is thorough, professional and a constant student of his field. In my case he was interested in what my lifestyle and expectations moving forward were when treating a condition. l The worst thing I can say is that he is so personable and thorough he is usually running hopelessly behind schedule. Highly recommended.

Dr. B. is the best! I moved an hour from Langley but keep him as my GP. Most dedicated and realistic Dr. I have ever dealt with. Has been my GP 15 years. He does take the odd humour risk that may bother some. But it makes my experience with him better. He went out on a limb for me and gave me tons of extra time and service filing a disability claim and issues around it. He is great!

Dr. Blackmore is the very best doctor I have ever had. I have referred him to my friends and family. He has helped me thru many problems and I have NEVER felt rushed with him. ALWAYS there to help you.

Dr.Blackmore is amazing, I wish I had him as my doctor today but I moved to far away. My Doctor now is a horror story, He just ignores the fact that he has a responsibility to his patients (and Im one of them) He just doesn't get it. Dr Blackmore drove down from his vacation in Whistler when I was in Labour. He also freaked out at the Langley hospital Dr,? who misdiagnosed a cyst that was rapidly growing, while I was pregnant and immediately got me the medical help I needed. I miss Dr. Blackmore so much not only as my Doctor but also as my friend.

not just a doctor but a friend. I have never met a man so caring and wonderful. He may run late for your appointment but rest assured he will take the time with you what ever you need he is there. Truley a remarkable man and physician I love Dr Blackmore hes fabulous.

He's compassionate,organized and knowledgeable. He made an emergency house visit. He gave the patient helpful rehabilitation information. We gave him high ratings because we have such confidence in him.

Dr Blackmore has been my doctor since I was born. He's one of the best doctors he will call you at home, doesnt just hand out precriptions like they are candy. Very approachable and will explain things until it makes sense. I dont live in Langley anymore but whenever I am in town and need to see a doctor I always go back to him.

misdiagnosed a very serious heart condition in my child, and kidney condition, on my persistance i took my child to a ped, within five minutes of being at the ped, the specialist diagnosed a very serious heart condition, my child received emergency open heart surgery at bc children's hospital, he was in serious heart failure for 11 months and the odds were totally against us, my child should have been operated on within the first month of his/her life, a major screw up, it was evident he was very ill, took him to the doctor many many times telling him there is a problem, had kidney operation six months later, we are so very lucky to have our child with us as, children's hopital told us that our child would have been deceased in 6 months if he didn't have the heart surgery when he did, it is truly a miracle that he is with us, a lot of other problems arising from the misdiagnoses has also occurred, i would not recommend him to anyone that i love that is for sure,

He saved my moms life, at 47 years young she had been suffering headaches for three days. She went with my dad to his annual check up and as they were talking she informed Blackmore of her pain. Headaches, vomiting and neck pain. Blackmore immediately asked my dad to get dressed and get my mom to emergency because she was having a cyribal annurism. Langley didn't want to admit her, they said there was no way she was having an annurism. Blackmore insisted they do an MRI. Upon doing so, they confirmed she was. Blackmore was extremely calming and helpful to my mom and family during this time. My mom had brain surgey and is alive and well. All thanks to Dr. Blackmore

HE WAS MY DOCTOR! I changed because he never took what I complained about seriously. His staff were incompentent at setting up specialist appointments. We miss a serious heart problem and refered to it as back problem. I would consider him a poor doctor and is always on vacation.

I was with Dr Blackmore during my first pregnancy. I was 20 years old and had little family support, which he knew, and still 'brushed off' any of my concerns. I felt uncomfortable asking questions, never understood what was happening, and can't remember ever getting into my appointment with less that 20 minutes to wait. I changed doctors soon after my son was born and couldn't be happier about it

Dr Blackmore is our family doctor and has been my husbands doctor since 85. He is kind and listens to me and always makes me feel that my concerns are being met. He is funny and uses light hearted humour his paitents. He does not talk down to me and if you have to wait in his office it is because he takes time to talk and will fit in a last min paitent.

Dr. Blackmore has been our Dr. for 20 yrs. He's delievered our children as well as dealt with our infertility. He's kind and compassionate. What other Dr. do you know that would make a house call!! Amazing. Thanks Richard.

I've used Dr. Blackmore since he took over the practice. I wouldn't change doctors for the world. Very occasionally I've had to wait 15-20 minutes because he's running a little behind, but that is usually caused because he's squeezed some one in that has a problem, but no appointment. He is very knowledgeable and doesn't just listens to your problem, he hears what your telling him. He has done a great job looking after the many health problems I have managed to aquire as I've aged.

You may have to wait a while but it is worth it. He will listen to your concerns and makes you feel as though you are his only patient when you are with him. He has a great sense of humor. He draws detailed diagrams on the paper covering of the bed for clarification. He doesn't over prescribe medications and makes sure you understand exactly what he is trying to say before you leave his office.

He has been my doctor for 20 years. He always takes the time to inform and truly cares about my health. He deliverd my first son and kept me with him as long as he could for my second son. He is our family doctor and I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Reason we no longer have him as a Dr. anymore is he was always away when we needed him so we always had a locum... I wanted my Daughter to get to know her Dr. he was an absentee Dr for us.

always knows his stuff and if he doesnt he will find out for you, will go to bat with insurance companies isnt afraid to at least try his best for you the patient!

Dr. Blackmore has been my doctor since 1985. He's a great promotor of eating health and keeping fit (and not being overweight), and is very hesitant about suggesting supplements since he feels eating properly supplies those nutients. If there is a problem, he acts on it immediately and thoroughly. He's got a great sense of humour! Thanks Dr. Blackmore!

Blackmore is no longer my doctor. When I pregnant with my first child he felt I was gaining too much weight and used the term "tonnage" to reflect my weight gain.. Told me I needed to eat less than I was eating before I was pregnant (I am on the low end of a "normal" range of weight too). He also made a diagnosis over the phone when the nurse at the hospital called him to ask him something.. she seemed very concerned by that. He always had his hand on the doorknob and I only ever had the "5 or 10 minute" appointment. I was referred to another doctor now... and couldn't be happier!

Our family have been with DR. Blackmore for more than 20 yrs. Helped with our infertility and also delivered each of our kids. He is kind, caring and really takes the time to get to the problem. Very empathetic which isn't normal today. He's all about the patient and not the cash. We're very thankful he's taking care of our family. We're all in good hands. Thanks Richard!!

Dr. Blackmoree has been my doctor for over 14 years. He takes a great deal of time with me, explaining the problems. I think he is the best doctor I have ever had and I am nearly 60. His only weaknes that I can see is that someetimes he gets involved with talking too much with a patient and an entire waiting room full of patients aree waiting to see him. This has been frustrating a few times but it has been rare. I highkly recommend him but I don't think he is taking new patients.

Very quick with a prescription pad and will hand out different pills for what ails you, but not interested in getting to the root of the problem. Gives the impression that he is very busy and you are taking up too much time.

Dr. Blackmore has been our Family Doctor since he came to Langley in 1985. He has taken care of us through good times and bad, attended the birth of our last child and celebrated the arrival of our first grandchild. Our visits to his office are like sitting down with a long time friend. His staff are wonderful and treat us with respect and kindness. We feel honoured to have him as our Family Doctor.
