:( Click to report rating    11/19/09 1 3 1 I have a similar story to the previous poster. I found her after looking for a female OB/GYN. After using her for 8 out of the 9 months, she randomly "dropped" me and sent me to Dr. Jung (thankfully, a wonderful doctor!). Later, I found out that Good Sam pulled her license to deliver there, which explains why she was still willing to be my GYN. Looking back, I am so glad she referred me to Dr. Jung because after a very complicated delivery, I don't think Dr. Cowell would've been capable of taking as good care of me and my daughter as Dr. Jung did. In addition, Dr. Cowell doesn't have a very professional appearance. Most days, I don't think she even washed/combed her hair...and forget the makeup. But I will say that her staff was wonderful.

:( Click to report rating    5/12/09 2 2 2 When I was pregnant in 2006 I was told by a nurse on my street that Dr. Cowell did not have credentials to actually deliver a baby. So, I called the office and they confirmed she would be "referring" me to another doctor. Come on, she knew this all along and waits until the patient asks. She is unethical and I heard she was very rough with babies.

:( Click to report rating    3/5/09 3 3 1 I never went to her as a patient. But, she used to live in apartments I used to manage. And, she was one of the strangest, rudest people that lived there. I was pregnant at that time with my first child and looking for a doctor. After meeting her, I said there is NO way I would choose her as my doctor. SORRY!

:) Click to report rating    12/4/08 4 5 5 I have seen Dr. Cowell off and on for several years. (Off only for having a insurance company that did not permit me to see her) Prior to seeing her I had the same doctor for 15 years. A move brought me here and to meeting Dr. COwell. The office is very clean, Dr. Cowell is highly competent, she is very thorough, listens to what you have to say and looks at you while you talk not her clip board! I have reffered several women to her clinic and so far they are all pleased. As another poster mentioned she does call after hours to check on you and keep you informed. I am so glad that we have her in the area!!

:( Click to report rating    7/28/08 3 3 1 I saw Dr. Cowell years ago, and she mis-diagnosed me with a vaginal infection (vaginosis I think) and put me on an antibiotic that weeks later caused a yeast infection. She left that clinic in Puyallup and I went to see a replacement Male Gynocologyst and he let me know that she did misdiagnos me and I had a irregular pap because of a yeast infection and I need to stop taking the antibiotics. I will never go through her again, especially now that I am pregnant and reading others comments on this board.

:( Click to report rating    5/23/08 4 4 1 i went into see Dr. Cowell for a pre-natal consultation. I asked her about questions about possible pregnancy my age(early 30's) and fear of going through pregnancy. She basically told me off that i should get out of my tight pants (hey, I was size 2 then. I could not help looking so thin and pants looking tight to my legs) and be brave like those 18-year old teenage girls. I was told that my problem was my high education and tight pants. She upset me more about the whole pregnancy and I left the office crying. I never went back. I will never will. Because of her I felt so discouraged to become a pregnant. I wish I had never met her because there are so many wonderful obgyn out there. Please do not consult her because she is a female doctor and she might understand you better. Because I didn't feel like she understood my female concerns.

:) Click to report rating    2/13/08 5 5 5 I really like Dr Cowell, she was incredible during our first pregnancy and resulting miscarriage, calling even well after hours to make sure I was ok. I don't know where the other reviewer is getting the idea that the office is not clean, they are very sanitary and overly cautious. Highly recommend!

:( Click to report rating    4/3/07 3 2 Her waiting room and exam room maybe welcoming and clean, but the medical tools she uses are far from sanitary. I went in with no infection before my pap and after I ended with a vagina infection and losing my baby. And then to top it all off she blamed my body and told me that instead of having a DNC it would be easier to have the fetus come out of my body naturally. Which mind you it could take 3-6 weeks. It was bad enough I miscarried and then she wants me to walk around with a dead baby in my body. I don't think that all the cells are working up there. Then the office staff is out of there mind too. I had a c-section with my first daughter which was not the best. My recovery sucked and I was in so much pain. I didn't want to go through that again. At Good Sam Hospital they make you have another c-section even if you have had a VBAC before (legal). And when I brought up my concerns with the doctor and staff, the blank stares let me know real quick that they don't care.

:) Click to report rating    11/30/06 5 5 I have gone to her for 8 years and think she is wonderful. She is very thorough, easy to talk to, takes her time with you, and always makes me feel she is truely concerned for my overall health and well being.
