:| Click to report rating    12/29/09 1 1 3 I have been a patient for 10 years. I have had good and bad experiences with Dr. Alam. Overall I think she is a good Dr, but she does not always listen. Since Tarina her PA has been there I always see her. She is AWESOME. Colleen her office manager has to be one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She also does not follow HIPPA laws. I am in the process of looking for another Dr. for this reason. It will be hard to leave Tarina but after many run-ins with Colleen I can not stay with this practice anymore. Dr. Alam needs to spend some money on office staff that will be respectful and helpful to her patients. I also think the wait time for this dr is outragous.

:) Click to report rating    11/4/09 3 3 5 Have had Dr. Alam as PCP for over 10 years and I've been VERY satisfied. I have the utmost confidence in her. She doesn't hesitate to order tests or referrals if she deems it necessary. I LOVE Tarina, her P.A. - she is never judgemental and is a positive influence in the office. Front office staff has a high turnover rate - and they can be challenging to work with at times (sometimes bordering on rude!). Office hours are another challenge. But I can overlook the other areas of concern(office staff, hours, long wait times, etc.) in order to keep seeing Dr. Alam and Tarina. They're the BEST!!!

:) Click to report rating    10/20/09 5 1 3 This doctor has absolutely no respect for anyone's time. When someone makes an appointment for a certain time, they are expected to arrive at that time. If they are more than 15 minutes late, they are asked to reschedule. But today they kept me waiting for almost two hours past my appointment time in the waiting room. And then another 30 minutes in the exam room. The office staff did apologize for the wait, but this is beyond rudeness. They may want to recosider their scheduling practices to include longer appointment times or maybe not scheduling the doctor until a time frame when she is actually expected to BE in the building. But then that would mean not cramming as many patients into one day, therefore cutting down on what I am SURE is a large profit margin.

:| Click to report rating    9/21/09 3 4 2 My family and I have been a patient of Dr Alam for over 5 yrs. We have had both positive and negative experiences with the office. Dr Alam seems knowledgeable and is very accomodating when asking for referrals. However, her bedside manner is terrible and at times even rude. Her PA Tarina is knowledgeable, very helpful and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Tarina is the only reason we have stayed with the practice so long. The office workers are friendly but have messed up several referral requests causing me to have to pay extra or reschedule appts with specialists. Also, the office hours are absolutely ridiculous and so I have had to make several trips to the emergency room paying a much higher copay simply because the office was closed. I recently decided to leave the practice because I found myself neglecting my own health to avoid dealing with the office.

:| Click to report rating    4/29/09 2 4 2 Currently having a lot of billing issues. Was made aware by my insurance company that this was due to how my visit was coded, which was my 1st. Completely unhappy with this reoccuring issue as I'm still getting billed on items I shouldn't be. If some of these bills are my responsibility I would like some type of clarity, etc. To-date I've visited the office a few times & still have not meet Dr Alam, which was part of reasoning for seeing a new Dr. as was totally unsatified w.my prev. Dr for similar reasonings. Most staff have me make my own appt's for those I need to make elsewhere, which is completely new to me. Got a few wrong #'s and/or no answer on #'s provided to me, except on my last experience where a staff member Tanya who did otherwise in assisting me. Truly appreciated it. Nurse Tarina, as well, totally took care of my needs. She made my 1st visit totally comfortable and was extremely attentive with my needs which were extremely high at that time. She's a pleasure to see.

:) Click to report rating    4/27/09 1 1 3 I have been a patient for 5 years, and I am currently looking for a new primary care physician. I love the Doc and most of the girls who work at the office really funny, good sinceof humor, though when it comes to Colleen, god bless the office I have never met the rudist human, I always get bills for copays when I pay at the time of my visit, Doc you should hire someone with knowledge and morals. Also I have had a hard time understanding the medical receptionist. I did enjoy the service even after the wait, Such a shame that I will be leaving for the actions of the ignorant office manager.

:) Click to report rating    4/23/09 4 4 5 I think that Both Dr. Alam and PA Tarina are great with and always figure out what's wrong with me. The staff is also very good, when I go I am at the office for a while but do leave with all the appointments I need, and I recieve a call within 2 days with any results. I would recommend this office to everyone I know! Keep up the good work.

:) Click to report rating    3/24/09 4 2 4 I've dealt with Dr Alam and Tarina and they were both good doctors. Tarina was a lot more upbeat but they both did their job well. I think the front staff was polite and friendly too. I do agree that they need to work on keeping their appointment times. But besides that all good!

:) Click to report rating    2/10/09 3 2 4 I agree that Dr. Alam's bedside manner could use improvement. I also agree that Torina should be a physician herself. She is awesome. If PA Torina did have her own practice I wonder what Dr. Alam's waiting room would look like? Also, there is a high turn over in front office. Makes you wonder. I return because of Torina her PA.

:| Click to report rating    1/18/09 2 2 2 Dr. Alam is knowledgeable as a doctor, but has a terrible bedside manner. She is cold and unsympathetic. Her PA Tarina is wonderful and is the reason why I stay with the practice. My biggest complaint is their office hours. The practice has the most ridiculous hours for a professional extablishment. My vet is open longer than they are. Also, they are unreliable. I had to reschedule a specialist appt three times because Alam's office failed to fax a referral to them even when I called to remind them several times. The receptionist was always rude and defensive whenever I called. I would not recommend this practice. It's not worth the stress!

:) Click to report rating    10/21/08 5 4 5 I love this office. Although I do like Dr. Alam, my husband and I both prefer to see the PA Tarina. Tanya is my favoite medical assistant to deal with and Dahlia is the phlobotomist and although every where I go people have a hard time taking blood from me, she always gets it on the first try! I hardly ever have to wait long to be seen and they are always kind, helpful and knowledgable. I am very happy with this office and hope to be a patient there for a long time.

:) Click to report rating    10/2/08 2 3 4 PA Tarina is great and should be a doctor herself - knows as much as any doctor I've ever met. I have yet to meet or even know what Dr. Alam looks like, even though she's been my primary for almost two years. Secretary scheduled a CT scan for me and followed through with paperwork, etc., but forgot to mention that I'd need to go to the radiology department at the hospital one day before exam to pick up contrast medium which needs to be consumed prior to test...

:) Click to report rating    5/16/08 2 2 5 When I got home I looked up rude, offensive, loud and 'lack of tact' in the dictionary and the office manager's picture was on each listing! Fantastic Doctor, great staff, LOUSY office manager.

:) Click to report rating    1/9/08 4 1 4 I've been to Dr. Alam couple of times and was satisfied with the diagnosis, treatment and advice I received each time. The staff is also courteous. The only thing that bothered me is that there is no adherence what so ever to appointment times given to the patients. It sometimes takes upto an hour past the appointment time to actually see one of the doctors.
