Dr. Artzer is very thorough in his examinations. He was able to give me a diagnosis when multiple other doctors were not. He is very knowledgeable and takes very good care of his patients.

Gruff, unapproachable, and non-communicative...always felt like I was a bother instead of the focus of concern. Switched to different nephrologist soon after my transplant.

Dr. Artzer lacked respect from his dialysis staff. After my transplant, he didn't work with my transplant unit @ KU Med Center, and his nurse didn't send requests for my regular blood tests or sent lack of type tests info. I feel he was ultimately responsible. I eventually changed Nephrologists.
