:) Click to report rating    3/16/10 4 5 5 5  Dr. DaSilva was my doctor early on when she was in Boca Raton and did my fibroid surgery. She always had time to talk and answered all my questions. When I was in the hospital, she was great, too. Awesome bedside manner, very calm and professional.

:( Click to report rating    2/10/10 3 3 1 2  Dr. Christine DaSilva was the OB on call when I went into labor. She was not friendly and did not have a good bedside manner. She was trying to pressure me into getting an epidural and all kinds of other things when I just wanted a natural unmedicated child birth. When I didn't do as she suggested she was upset. My labor was slow and she just kept suggesting that I get a c-section. I asked her if she had idea's to help dilate more and she just said no, I needed a c-section. After 20 hours of labor I delivered my 10lb baby girl naturally. Thanks partly to the wonderful nurse Pam at Halifax who helped me relax and change up my positions. Before I gave birth I had told Dr. DaSilva that I wanted to delay clamping of the cord but she did it right away and then delayed cutting it I guess to just appease me. I am leaving out a lot of other details but if you are looking for an OB that respects and supports you then look somewhere else.

:) Click to report rating    12/27/09 5 5 5 5  Dr. Dasilva is an excellent ob/gyn. She was my gyn before my son's birth in 05 and now for this baby she is my doctor. I trust her advice and she is very understanding and helpful. She gave me such excellent care when my pregnancy with my son became complicated the last month of my pregnancy. She even was there to help me after the birth with gallbladder issues. Had it not been for her expedience I may not have survived and would have left my 29 day old son alone with his father to care for him and explain what happened to his mother. So I feel that she is excellent, and expedient, and understanding and really listens to me. This is very important to me.
