:) Click to report rating    4/20/09 2 4 4 Dr. Smith is truly a great doctor. He is a very sweet man, caring and listens. He always suggests non medical ways of helping, if you are not satisfied he will send you to a socialist because he wants to keep your mind at ease. He always remembers me and always asks about how my life is going. He is always very concerned about me and my health at my young age and is very thorough. He helped me when no other doctor would with my fear of eating, NOT ANOREXIA like a lot of other doctors assumed, but Dr. Smith saw it was more than that and went to all lengths to make sure I got better 100%.

:( Click to report rating    10/20/08 4 4 2 I am extremely dissapointed in his concern or interest. As have not had a family doctor and starting to have some serious health problems, was referred to Dr Smith by a family friend. He seems to respond well to my husband, but with a disabling condition that is now in it's 53rd day, he response to me was that it was common to get aches and pains as we age. I don't frequent doctor's offices and for me to even go means that it's serious. To get the brush off like that was insulting and I will never go back to him again. BTW another doctor at a walk in clinic actually listened and booked an MRI but that is at the end of November. I still can't walk or work but hey, gotta love Canada's wonderful doctors and medical system.

:) Click to report rating    8/4/08 3 4 5 Dr. Smith is knowledgeable general practitioner because of his many years of experience. However, he is also quick to refer the patient to a specialist if he thinks they could be better served and the circumstances require it. I have been Dr. Smith's patient for over 13 years now and although I have moved some 40 kilometers away from his office I am willing to travel the extra distance to see him because he has been with me through a life threatening respiratory failure caused by my allergy to avian protein in my parrot's droppings which led to three weeks in the critical care unit. He also referred me to very good neurosurgeons for my three spinal surgeries that were required because of serious and painful spinal stenosis and sciatica that would not respond to any other treatments. So Dr.Smith began treating me for sprained ankles and other sports related injuries as a jock involved in organized sports through to my rapid physical deterioration as of late. We have a great rapport.

:( Click to report rating    7/21/08 3 1 1 I agree time to retire. Loves to chat... about everything other than your health concern. Ok for colds and flu but seems to get a little nervous about anything that may be serious.

:) Click to report rating    3/22/07 4 5 Very good with children. Talks directly to them and explains what medically is going on. Trusts maternal instinct. I am able to bring a list of concerns, minor and major and he addresses each with equal seriousness. Will refer to specialist. Does not refill prescription easily. Not arrogant and very open minded.

:) Click to report rating    3/9/07 4 5 I have had a totally different experience with this doctor. There have been a few times when I've been worried about something and he always explains them to me and then if I request it, he always sends me to a specialist. He has never hesitated to send me for tests. He always makes a point of asking me about different things in my life and always seems interested in me and my son. Scheduling problems are not always the fault of the doctor. Emergencies happen and have to be seen.

:( Click to report rating    1/13/07 3 1 Totally dissapointed with this Dr's performance. Not interested in investigating problems and seemed like he didn't believe what you told him. We went to someone else. Time for him to retire.

:| Click to report rating    11/2/06 3 3 Same as the comments above, easily distracted, doesn't give you test if he doesn't think you need it. Really have to pressure him for exams, don't expect a great check up with him, good for prescription refills (don't ask much questions) Doesn't really give you too much info about why you need to do x, or take y. Just get in and out sort doc.

:| Click to report rating    10/11/06 2 2 Always schedules multiple people at same time, so there is always a wait and appointments are never on time. Doesn't follow his patients progress properly, I have to go after him all the time for this or that test.
