03/06/14 3 1 1 1 Dr Weingarten is a rude man. My sister and I tried to explain why we were at his office and all he did was talk over us. The women at the front desk were very nice but the him and the rest of his staff were pretty rude. My situation was I had surgery done on my nose a few days before I saw him and the hospital told me I needed to see and ENT to have the packing in my nose removed, now not ever having had this surgery done I had no idea what I was supposed to do. He acted like he couldn't be bothered with someone like me. I would never recommend anyone to this doctor. He's rude and does not let you explain anything. Makes me wonder how his practice even stays open.  Respond

21/06/13 1 1 1 1 The time & money I spent seeing Dr. Weingarten were a complete waste. In fact, I'm disappointed that my PCP referred me to him. The referral was to "Consult and treat allergies." I realize doctors today are very limited on time with patients but I barely got to speak with him and explain my issues. When he first came into the room he spent a few minutes cracking a joke, then he made two ridiculous recommendations on how to treat the allergy/sensitivity reactions I started to describe. Then he sent me down the hall to have my hearing checked (not something I was there for.) I just received the bill and thankfully I do have insurance coverage. But when I see what he charged "in total" for the extremely short period of time I was with him (with NO meaningful feedback on the medical reason I was there) I am shocked. The charges are excessive and unreasonable. There were no services rendered for the reason I was there. I wouldn't recommend this guy to anyone.

12/03/13 1 1 1 1 I am no stranger to doctors. I have been sick most of my life and just within the last couple of years I was diagnosed with cancer. I was referred to this doctor and was told that my recent PET scan results would be forwarded with the referral. Well, the initial phone call went great, however when I got there I had a horrible experience. First of all, I had a four page questionnaire to fill out and then when I was called into the room I was asked questions that I answered on the form. Know your patient. Then the doctor flew in, acted like he was God, and threw around the cancer word on me AFTER he barked at me for not having the PET scan. Well, it wasn't my responsibility to get the scans and they already had the report. He demanded that I go to the imaging center since he didn't want to pay for the scan. Then he started in on my thyroid and biopsies. I was there for a cyst like something that was in my throat. Several other non professional things happened. Never see this Dr!  Respond

18/04/12 1 1 1 1 Dr. Weingarten is the rudest, meanest and most ignorant doctor I have ever met. He treats any patient that might be unusual in their medical needs and responses with disdain! He spoke to us RUDELY. He belittled the patient for not responding to his medications. In trying to have any kind of rational conversation with him...it was impossible. He belittled his nursing staff in the hallway! It is my hope that Dr. Weingarten experiences the same "care and compassion" that he demonstrates to his patients and other professionals. Dr. Weingarten you should have your license taken away. Clearly you are not a doctor motivated for any concern other than lining your pockets. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

24/10/11 4 5 5 5 Dr. Weingarten was one of two referrals I received from my Endo for thyroid surgery. My husband went with me and by the time we left we both thought he was great. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot) in detail, he never rushed through, and despite what other people have written he has a fantastic bedside manner and a great sense of humor. I felt completely comfortable about having surgery by the time I left that first appt, and this was my first surgery EVER. The morning of surgery I had even more questions which he again answered in detail and he took his time talking to me even though I know he was very busy with surgeries that day. My husband told me later that right after surgery he went to talk to my husband and my mother in the waiting area and explained how the surgery went. He explained everything to me again the next morning when he made his rounds at the hospital. My incision is a perfectly straight thin line that is healing very well. He's a fantastic surgeon.  Respond

30/08/11 4 4 5 5 I was referred to Dr. Weingarten by my daughter's pediatrician to look at her ears for possible tubes. He took his time explaining to me exactly why she needed tubes and how the surgery would go. He also took the time to explain to me that she would be back to normal in a matter of a few hours after the surgery. I'm forever grateful for the time he took with me and my husband and daughter to make sure we knew exactly what was happening. He listened to all of our concerns and was extremely sweet and caring towards our daughter asking her all about pre-school. The surgery went fantastic and I will definitely be returning for any other ear, nose, or throat needs. I definitely recommend Dr. Weingarten to any one.

29/07/11 2 1 1 1 Dr. Weingarten was Terrible with our 3 yr. old. Better no doctor than him. Child's history: tubes in ears, adenoids out, tubes fell out in Nov. Then, non-stop ear and sinus problems from November through May. Pediatrician and allergist/immunologist had tympanograms done and documented illness from Nov. to May. Both recommended an ENT, and probable tubes in her ears again. At Dr. Weingarten's office, we waited over 1 hour. He glanced less than 3 seconds in each ear, did not review any dr. notes with the ear infection/sinus history, chewed me out for being there, and did no testing. Our child screams when ear drops are put in her left ear (not usual for her) and has decreased hearing overall. 2 days later she had a temperature and vomiting from drainage. Ped. did tympanogram (1 min., with ear plug in ear); revealed a tear/extensive fluid on ear--surgery required--something the ENT for sure should have found before the ped. We are filing complaints with the medical board on him.  See Responses

18/07/11 2 4 1 2 Dr needs to learn "listening" skills. Rushes in & doesn't care what you have to say. I took my daughter to him for by pediatrician & I would never recommend him to anyone!!! His staff doesn't care either and if you ask questions they don't want to take the time to answer (although the surgery coordinator was very nice & helpful). It apprears to me that he only cares about rushing patients in & out and MONEY!!

21/02/11 3 3 1 1 I took my daughter to this doctor after both her regular doctor and an asthma specialist determined it was not asthma and they recommended Dr. Weingarten to me. He rushed and seemed very careless and ordered for x-rays. When x-rays were in he quickly showed me how there was mucus along the lining of her nose! That was it! I could not beleive this was all he said! My daughter did not need x-rays for him to point that out to me! I can see her constantly blowing her nose! Bottom line, he sent me back to the asthma specialist! Unbelievable! Horrible experience and a waist of time and money!!!!  Respond

13/02/11 4 4 4 5 I was just referred to Dr. Weingarten two weeks ago by my pcp. When I called for my app the staff was very kind and knowledgable and were able to get me in within a week. I too was also sent for biopsy. Day of visit the waiting room was very full and I thought it would be a long wait. To my surprise it was only 20-25 min. Once with the doctor he was direct and answered all of my questions. I felt that he was quite knowledgable in everything I asked. He did a full exam, went over my scans that I brought with and then sent me for a biopsy. I felt my visit was efficient and his staff explained how long the time frame would be for autherization and next app. In reading some of the reviews I feel the office was unjustly portrayed. I want an office/physician that follow through and are knowlegable and direct. I'm not there for socialization. Also I felt like it was my responsibility to find out the co pay and any other amounts due because it is my insurance policy that I signed. Great doctor

12/01/11 1 5 1 1 Was referred to this ent from my regular doctor. Appointent was in December of 2010. He could have cared less about what was wrong with me. His staff was only concerned about their vacations and not in scheduling my biopsy as I had been promised. I have had to do all the leg work myself. His office has yet to call and tell me what to expect with the biopsy and how much I will have to pay. The doctor was rude and spent all of 3 minutes with me. It was a horrible experience which I'm still going through. If I'm going to die as my regular doctor insists I am I want better treatment...  Respond

22/02/10 1 5 1 3 I had formed no opinion of the support staff. I did form an opinion of Dr. Weingarten however. Dr. Weingarten was extremely rude, disinterested in my concerns as a patient and treated me like a number rather than an individual. He was also very physically abrasive when manually inspecting my ears and jaw (which were in a GREAT deal of pain at the time) which almost felt abusive during my 5 minutes with the doctor. This was the worst experience that I have ever had in any business, let alone a doctor's office. I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS PRACTICE... EVER!

13/10/09 5 5 5 5 I did much research before choosing an ENT surgeon. After asking numerous healthcare personel, Dr. Weingarten was consistently the name that I was referred to as the best in town. I cannot be more thoroughly satisfied with my experience. Throughout my cancer ordeal, Dr. Weingarten has been the consumate supportive professional, and my surgery was a complete success. He listened carefully to my concerns, always respected my schedule by keeping my appointments on time, and encouraged me throughout. He has subsequently cared for my son who needed tubes for his ears, and I have referred many other friends to him for various ear or sinus issues- all of whom have been so grateful for my recommendation. I love the staff and the office, and Dr. Weingarten is simply the best!

23/09/09 5 5 5 5 Thank you to Dr. Weingarten for taking care of my son's ear problems. I was referred to his office when my son developed an ear infection that would not clear. His staff got us in within a few days and we had corrective surgery (ear tubes) in less than a week. My son has done great since that time. Dr. Weingarten has a wonderful and helpful staff as well as a comfortable new office that was very easy to get to. I can recommend him highly to any parent that has a similar type of need for their child.  Respond

16/09/09 1 1 1 1 Rude, and arrogant. Felt like I was in a herd of cattle. Sat for 2 hours in lobby after appointment time, then only to be rushed in, talked to for less than 2 minutes about what restaraunt he had eaten in the night before, and sent me for biopsy that his incompetent staff was suppose to rush scheduling me, the rush appt. was for 3 months later appt., went back for follow up, sat for 2+ hours again, and he wanted to excise my thyroid even though it was functioning perfectly, and perhaps both sides but wouldn't know til day after right side would be removed if he would have to take other side out as well, all of this surgery with my white blood count being through roof, and red count being dangerously low, brilliant, just kill me on table, yeah brilliant. He just wants to bilk you, and insurance of as much as he can before he retires, or goes to prison for fraud. Honestly I felt so insulted by his "farming" techniques, I now know how slaughter houses run. Thanks!

06/09/09 3 3 1 1 Didn't like this doctor. Focus is solely on how many patients he can see and how much money he can make. Runs his office like a factory. Spends only 1-2 minutes with each patient. Two main answers for everything--antibiotics and surgery. Put me through an unnecessary surgery.  Respond

21/02/09 2 1 2 3 The wait was at least an hour to get in, even with an appointment. As soon as I did get into a room, I felt so rushed. I had some kind of sinus infection and I really felt he jumped to conclusions, threw some (expensive) prescriptions at me, and kicked me out. He did not answer any of my questions or explain anything. He tried to push me off on other doctors and schedule me for unnecessary tests. Not at all helpful - just cost me a lot of time and money.
