I have come FULL circle with this doctor. From beyond elation to beyond disappointment. I once sung his praises until I was a patient who VOLUNTARILY left after 3 years. The staff was extremely rude and unfortunately those who say different are just so happy to be accepted that they'll say anything to the contrary like I did. Like I said, I have come FULL circle. From ELATED to crushed. I voluntarily discharged myself after seeing the out of control way the clerk spoke to one patient and after just requesting ONCE for a copy of a bill (why dont they accept insurance?). The sad part is that the patients are so desperate and in so much pain, they see him as a god and not as a human. I feel sad for them. Once again, I speak from the heart and hope people understand this is out of caution for them. God Bless!

My hero! I've been seeing Dr. Vandercar for several years now and credit him for my better quality of life. His patient and understanding staff are also professional and highly educated individuals... Congratulations to Jen who recently received her degree while working full time. I can't begin (or want to) imagine my life without pain management. I guess it's true that "it takes one to know one"... My quality of life has improved dramatically over the past three years! Thank you Tampa Pain Management, from the bottom of my heart. Knowing the practice is legal and 'on the level' is more comforting than imagineable in today's world.

Dr. VanDercar is absolutly amazing. He has totally taken care of my chronic pain, without making me feel drugged, or in a daze. Almost without fail, all of the fellow patients I have talked to have been elated by his professionalism and assistance. The only people that get pissed off are those that are turned away or kicked out. To date, based on a sign in his office, he has kicked-out over 350 patients in the past 3 or 4 years for abuse or diversion - this doesn't even count the new patients he has turned away. But those of us who do make it in the door (i.e.: we have piles of documentation..) and those of us who do get to remain patients, get a doctor who is a saint - he actually cares about his patients, and practices medicine to get them relief without worrying about stereotypes in the medical community. Ignore those two or three people who say he is bad - they probably got discharged. Listen to those of us who aren't out to get him, and who can tell you how wonderful he is.

This is the best doctor in Florida. They listen to your needs and get right to the point. I have learned more from this doctor than i have ever learned from any other dr. He dosnt want your money he wants to help you. Money is last. He is the smartest doctor around. I have tried to find a good pain dr. for at least 6 years and when i found him last year due to a car accident, he made me feel like i was at home. He really wanted to hear me listen to me and answer all and i mean all of my questions. I would tell anyone if your looking. He is the man. He helps in so many ways. He has huge big screen tv in every room, and in the waiting room and has a great friend who runs the pharmacy downstairs from hs office. They help alot and even let you do credit so you can owe them . Its the best establishment in the world. to me. The never changed my scripts unless i want them changed,. Please goto them and tell the Renee A. sent you. TRUST me you will walk out happier than ever. I promise

After watching my husband struggle and suffer thru the past 7 years of pain and inadequate pain management, I am extremely thankful for Dr.Vandercar. I feel that in some ways, not only has he saved our marriage and family, but has probably saved my husbands life. The depression that came along with the pain was unbearable to both of us and no other doctor seemed to understand this. They were far too worried about the DEA and not the patient. Dr.Vandercar is the consummate professional and conducts his business likewise. The man is a saint!

Very experienced and very knowledgeable. What makes him extraordinary is his patience. Not his patients LOL (nevermind). But seriously, in my first visit I made sure I had all my paperwork in order and all my documentation. It took a while, but this was for us to meet one on one to discuss his policies and my disability. All in all I am impressed at how professional and concise he is. This is also the case with his practice. Everything is honest and truthful here and I do not worry about a doctor mistakes. Everything is in the patients hands as long as you remain honest and truthful with him. His last words of the visit were "don't worry, I will look after you". Seriously, this elated me! After seeing so many doctors, NOT ONCE was I ever reassured like that. It's almost like what my dad used to say to me. GOD BLESS YOU DOCTOR VANDERCAR

I am very happy to see my Dr. on this web page. He is the Best! He understands his patients and cares very much. He will know if you are legitimate or not and manages his office perfectly. Finding a pain dr that really cares is rare. Most just want to inject shots that don't work.

I have been a pain pt. since a car accident in 1992. I have worked in the field in an office and as an EMT. Dr. Vandercar is EXCELLENT! He will not treat you unless you have your medical records and he is honest and caring. Too many drs worry about getting into trouble for pain pts so much in fact that patients are left to expensive wastes of time like content injections and surgeries that can make matters worse. He cares and can see a hoax in an instant. It took me 11 years of other treatments to get to the point where I would even consider medication and many drs and their staff make you feel like a junkie looking for a fix when all you want to do is live a productive life. Not here you are treated like a patient. And that is so rare these days. If I move back to Jersey I will have to travel to see him so I recommend him that much.

I have had trouble finding doctors who care and believe how much pain I am in. I saw Dr. vandercar and can say, "him and his staff are the greatest people on earth". If you need a pain management doctor that is down to earth and really cares then chek him out. He is very busy so give plenty of time for the first visit.

Dr. Vandercar is incredible, caring, and saved my life. If you are a fake he will spot you and will not treat you. He only treats those who truly need pain management. I thank god for him everyday and night because I am able to walk and do the things I could not before at my age.

Dr. VanDercar is one of a kind ! He understands the frustration many patients experience when looking for chronic pain relief. I don't know what many of us would do without him.I would like to add that drug abusers and phonies need not apply. He will know!

I believe Dr VanDercar to be an excellent clinition. instead of just prescribing a pain med this doctor and staff tried several different approaches to find the most effective way to deal with my post operative pain. There is no question in my mind that the doctor and his staff are very concerned with finding treatment regime that would work for me. This seperates them from most of the other doctors that I have been treated by. - Steve V
