I waited for 2 hrs to see her, after my name was called I again waited for 15 mts to see her. When she came she just give me to minutes, I was not even aware our meeting was over!!! I had so may questions in my mind to ask her and I realize that she left the room asking me to get an ultrasound done which btw you have to pay for at her clinic. If you get it done in a hospital it takes arnd 6 months!! obviously she has no concern for her patients and is just a money maker!! I wonder how much money do people need!!! they are never fkin satisfied!

I am very surprise of all the negative comments. It's probably because people don't know her enough. I've been with her for over 25 yrs. I had two high risk pregnancies and went through a lot and for me she is the best. I don't hesitate to recommend her. (p.s. I also like her assistante that has been with her for years, she has also been very helpfull to me) Anna-Belle

I scheduled an appointment with this horror of a doctor last year as I had irregular periods. After waiting for two hours in the chaotic, zoo-like waiting room, I was called in by a rude staff member. Marcon was very unhappy that I had already done my ultra-sound at the hospital, said that until she does the ultra sound herself, she has to rule out the results! My results did show a few small cysts, one larger than the rest, but she refused to address them as she considered this to be “normal”. She sent me off without any medication or advice, saying that it was “normal” for a woman my age (I am 36) to have irregular periods once in a while, and I was healthier than she was…long story short, my iron level went dangerously below the normal level due to the bleeding, and now I am on long-term iron medication. Period still irregular, and the cyst has grown into a bigger size now. She is an embarrassment to the medical community.

I was very ambivalent about going to Dr.Marcon after reading all the negative comments on this site. I don't know if the planets were all lined up perfectly that day or what it was, but I could not have been more pleased with my visit. Aside from the usual overly long wait, the staff was one of the most polite teams I have ever encountered in a medical office, and I could not help overhearing their conversations with other patients, in person or over the phone, all of which were courteous and pleasant. I was prepared for a brief and curt encounter with Dr. Marcon and was totally surprised by her attention to detail and the time she devoted to my menopause issues. I felt so confident that I had an unscheduled ovarian ultrasound which, I was told, could also be performed at the hospital (but of course there is a considerable waiting period and protocol...). I paid for my ultrasound and left the office feeling reassured and content. I urge the nay-sayers to reconsider their appraisals!!

I am quite surprised at all the negative feedback on Dr. Marcon. Her staff does seem stressed most days and privacy when registering has always been an issue for me. However, with respect to the helpfulness and knowledge of Dr. Marcon, it is without a doubt very good. She has been my doctor for several years and she has always taken a reasonable amount of time with me per visit. She explains, in detail, what tests need to be taken and why. I am approaching pre-menopause and she took the time to explain symptoms, etc.
It is unfortunate that so many of you have had negative experiences.

Where do I start? I missed 2 years or regular pap tests because I couldn’t bare the thought of going back to her office. Productivity!!! You better not have a problem or a question; she has no time for you. Made me spend 100$ on an unnecessary laboratory test because the follow-up is the same whether the test is + or not. Always rushing in and out of the office. Asked me if my ex-boyfriend had sexual intercourse with other or injected himself with drugs when I said I wanted an HIV test and others. When I replied to the negative, she said it wasn’t necessary to get tested then. Grrrr…always frustrating seeing her. Only ONCE was she nice and it was to give me the results of my exams and a prescription. Ended up asking for a copy of the results and realized she is not good. Only interested in seeing as many patients possible in a day so she can make more money. Avoid!!!

She barely spends any time listening to what you have to say or ask. She literally walked out on me while I was still asking her a question. It's impossible to book any appointment through phone. My husband always has to walk into her clinic to book the appointment in person.

Not a good doctor. Never listens, spends 5 min with you. I had very bad headaches from pills and she did not care to try to find a better pill. Staff is not very polite either. I went there for 10 years because she was recommended by a very good doctor, but I will not go back and would not recommend her to anyone.

Rude staff, impolite, no manners. Dr. Marcon she's not any better. It seems we were like 3 or 4 patients scheduled at the same time, so about only 5 minutes/appointment. More interested about the money than the patient. Everything has a cost. "The lady" that take your blood pressure and of course the payment, she's not competent, she made several mistakes in different appointment, she very rude & careless. I have asked to transfer my file to another doctor, her staff told me that Dr. Marcon will decide if she's transferring my file (I wonder what she's afraid of...a law suit maybe)she finally sent only the lab results nothing of her notes for several appointments. Not very cooperative. It is to bad that, we women, have to be treated that way by another woman, I thought that we should have respect for one and other but Dr. Marcon & her staff chose to be unkind, impolite and certainly not professionnals. I feel so sorry for this entire office.

Extremely rude staff; extremely stressful clinic environment, sub-standard, third-world service: minutes after the doctor left, the nurse barged in while I was still getting back into my clothes. All told, the doctor and her set up far from inspire confidence. I went there twice, but never again! When a Pap result came out slightly anomalous the person who called didn't have the basic common sense to leave a reassuring voice message, which they should have, given that the "problem" was minor. If they called, it was to get me to go back there for another test, which they said would cost another $130. To add insult to injury, the person with whom I spoke on the phone said: you have "to be clean" to do this test, meaning you can't be menstruating! Truly scientific and woman-empowering language for an obs/gyn clinic in 2009!

I have been a patient of Dr. Marcon for the past 8 years. I have always felt that her staff’s disposition left a little to be desired. (especially the nurse who takes your blood pressure). Recently when I showed up for my doctor’s appt( which had been cancelled ) I experienced the most degrading conversation with her staff.
I thought that perhaps since the cancellation had been from them that this time they would at least be sympathetic to the fact that this was an inconvenient situation for the patient…BUT NOOOO instead they were just as rude, confrontational…the worst experience of my life. I do not understand how such a professional doctor like Dr. Marcon surrounds herself with such an obnoxious staff. I cannot even truthfully say that efficiency is their strong suit!!
Truly, truly the epitome of undiplomatic behavior

I've been a patient of Dr. Marcon for more than 20 years. I like the no-nonsense, let’s-get-right-to-it approach that other patients find off-putting.
PROS: Very knowledgeable. Has access to some of “the best of the best” medical specialists around (if you need to go elsewhere), and has refered me to other doctors when I had other problems. I’d bet my last dollar she was an A++ medical student, that’s how she comes across to me, and that’s what makes me feel like I’m in good hands, and is the reason I’ve never gone elsewhere.
CONS: Overbooks appointments, so you do get the “assembly line” feel when you’re there. Yes, she’s barely finished doing the PAP that she has her hand on the doorknob. I get the very distinct feeling that she is “pro private healthcare” which I despise and resent (but which I would never let on to her). She also seems to be very “pro pharmaceutical” and not particularly open to a holistic approach to health. I’m dreading broaching the subject of BHRT with her.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Marcon, who I went to see looking for a second opinion. Although, I agree the staff is borderline rude, the waiting room is crowded and appointment times are not kept (what else is new?). I notice many who complain here were not happy to hear "you're fine". Perhaps that's the difference: I was quite happy to have her run lots of tests and conclude that I had "the cleanest vagina in town" lol.

She is a space cadet. Does not listen to one word you say. I explained I was looking for a new female gyno. Have fybroids & excrutiating painful periods. She told me to take contraceptive pills consecutively (skip all periods) until menopause because I don't need to bleed. I guess God made a mistake when he created menstruation. When I told her I was uncomfortable with that, she told me to continue to suffer if I preferred. Then she left the room. I dressed & went into her office for a follow up only to find her digging in a plastic bag fishing out some morning snackies. When she looked up & saw me, she told me the nurse would give me an appt for an ultrasound. The nurse advised me to take Midol for the pain. Now why didn't I think of that? I have never witnessed such a circus anywhere in any office. Do yourself a favor and go see a real doctor.

I NEED A NEW DOCTOR! the staff is crazy rude! Whenever I have a question she says her receptionist will answer. so I go talk to her and she says the hospital will answer... I usually wait an hour or so... Dr marcon herself always seems to be nice and happy but when you try talking to her, she doesnt hear a thing and goes rushing out of the room. As for her helpfullness, a WALKIN doctor I went to go see for strep throat explained this HPV thing i have 234235235234x better than anyone at marcon's office!!!! If you can find ANY OTHER doctor.. do so!....especialy when it comes to private matters like this, you need someone informative and helpfull...not this person!!!

Wow, I am reading all these comments and i am surprised to see that so many others have had the same experience as me. So i am not crazy!Lets start with the Staff, it begins badly when the secretaries ask you over the phone why do you need to see the Dr, not only do they want to know why but what you have, i find it so unprofessional to have to describe my vaginal discharge and itching to a secretary, who BTW WILL ASK YOU THE SAME QUESTION EXPECTING THE SAME DETAILS, once you are registering at the clinic the day of your appointment, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE IN A PACKED ROOM...And all thIS accompanied by attitude because you might be reluctant to discuss your problem in front of everyone. I have never waited more than 1h but the Dr. is always on a rush and smiling says everything is fine so that she can leave. I am presently looking for another gyno because so far i dread the process of even getting an appointment with this Dr to come back home feeling the same and with more questions.

i was always not happy about her support. she doesn't listen, gives me wrong information and prescribe a wrong pills. i got a pill that is not good for someone who has herpes. if the pharmacist didn't tell me, i would have just taken the pill. also, unless you pay a couple hundred dollars, she won't do any tests. she will send you to the Royal Vic for any test if you don't want to pay. but the royal vic is usually busy and you have to wait at least 3-4 weeks. i went there for urine test. she told me it was all negative. but i still had a pain. i called the hospital and they said i had balder infection. 2 different results from one same test. ??? this kind of things happened more than 3 times in last 4 years. i finally changed my doctor. she smiles a lot and seems nice person but luck of knowledge and not helpful.

Marcon is a nice comfortable doctor. Gyno/pap exam is quick & painless but VERY quick visit time - no discussion really. Wait time is long. Come prepared with your questions and ask while lying down even as once she leaves the room she is gone. I hope that she is thorough. I don't know how to find a new doctor.

I was pretty skeptical after I read all of these reviews, like a woman ahed of me. I thought it's just one time and wanted to get over this . So I went there . It was a terrible experience I never had . From make an appointment, everything was very bad there. After two hours waiting I saw her a couple of minutes. Then she said I need an ultrasound test which is I have done. I have to transfer my result myself to this clinic instead of receptionist the queen of rude. Do you want to see a pizza / a chicken deliver there ? They don't care what you think. Don't go if you had a serious problem. Nothing good there. Don't waste you time and LIFE .

I was pretty skeptical after I read all of these reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, I did have to wait an average of 1.5-2 hours each visit, but she always takes new patients so the place is always packed - naturally, her appointments are going to be backed up. She was very sweet and helpful, and although I did notice she was in a rush (again, if you have that many patients and are running late, she has to) but still was able to answer my questions.

I work in health care so when I went into the examination room, I looked in my file sitting on the counter then I noticed the glass slide (for the pap smear) and I was horrified to see that it wasn't even my name on the slide !! I immediately told the doctor when she walked in to see me. She got another slide and wrote my name on it before the examination. It gives me chills to think that this was probably not the first time it happened. Ladies watch out !!! She also told one of my friends "everything is ok" when she complained of pain in her ovary. Well, she did not immediately get a second opinion and ended up having surgery to take out a cyst the size of a grapefruit and lost an ovary in the process. WATCH OUT LADIES !! Find another doctor, your life may depend on it !!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH Dr. Marcon!!! The staff is worse than rude and the doctor will make you wait more than an hour and give you less than 3 minutes of her time. She is out the door before you can even ask her any questions. When I first saw her I thought she was nice, always smiling (but then realized it was very fake). She told me that my tests came back fine.I tried to explain to her that I still had a problem , but she just left the room to take a phone call and never came back. I went to a different doctor right away & found out I had an ifection which I needed antibiotics for. Dr. MArcon is only there to swipe your medicare card and get you out of there as soon as possible so that she can go on to the next patient. The staff is incredibly rude!

A few of my friends was being treated with her and they changed docs and they told me the staff is rude in general and Dr. Marcon was rushing them. I was like oh ok but it didnt happen to me back then so I was listening to the comments but didnt do anything about it, as i was always treated with some respect However, many incidents happened and its only now that I realize what is going on: I was pregnant a few years back and she pushed me to have an abortion and i told her no im keeping it but she insisted a lot. Second, i have a polyp in my uterus, i told her i wanted it taken off she refused to have it removed. When I had questions, she would often answer very quickly and leave. I am just unhappy with her so, I found a new doctor, near my house, very caring and that new doctor is being paid by Medicare also but she is not rude, she doesnt rush the apt or anything ilke that.Im keeping my new doctor. Dr. Marcon does know the best docs but she should just be careful how she acts.

Almost 99% of the comments here are negative...not everyone can be wrong about her surely? She was a very nice, smiley doctor but was she helpful? NO!! If I had questions I always went in prepared but the fact that she stood by the door with her hand on the knob while I asked them did not instill any confidence in me about her. Once she was halfway out the door when I reminded her that I had come to renew my prescription (something she had asked me to come in for because they don't renew over the phone). She came back in reluctantly, scribbled my prescription, practically threw it at me and ran out! All this with a smile on a face but wow! What kind of doctor's visit is that? I saw her for 10 years and not one visit was for more than 5 minutes. I'm glad I have a new doctor.

I can't believe all the negative things people are saying. Dr.Marcon and her staff was always so nice to me. I think that the problem here is the patients and not the doctor and staff.People are complaining allot about the wait time, so why dont you woman go to emerg and wait 6 hours!!!!instead.I also think that if the patients would be NICE to the satff then the staff would be nice to them. I've seen some patients how they speak to the secretaries in the front HORRIBLE.How can you expect the secretaries to be helpfull. With me they where always so nice respectfull ans super nice. There a saying what come around goes around. Think about it twice before you juge the Dr. and the staff...

HORRIBLE DOCTOR! Based on my experience, their only concern at that clinic is how much money they can charge you & for procedures that at other clinics are covered my medicare. Also, she was unhelpfull & rushed my appointment after I had been waiting for over 2 hours. I do not recommend this doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Marcon for 15 years. Until now, I went once a year for a check up and a Pap smear. Recently, she recommended a test for the Papillon virus because the Pap smear was abnormal. She gave me a phone number to call which was ALWAYS busy. When I finally reached them, I was given an appointment 7 months away. I called back Marcon's office and was told that they couldn't do anything for me. I then called my GP (private medicine) and through him, got an appointment for the test at anothr clinic shortly after. I feel that Dr. Marcon failed me completely, left me without any support when it was required. I totally agree with the other posts regarding her always being in a rush, making her patients wait for an hour before seeing her and the lack of enthusiasm of her staff.

Horrible Doctor,i was missing periods, she sent me for ultrasounds. When she got my results , she asked me to come in. I thought it was something bad, i lost half a day of work, she called me in her office only to tell me everything was fine, and then sent me off. She didn't even allow me to discuss WHY it might be happening or what i should do next, i was still worried about not being regular. She could have just called to tell me the results !! Another time, i had a Bartholian cyst , it was removed and drained by a doctor at the CLSC (it was a weekend). The doctor told me to have my gyno check if it was draining properly during the week, i made an appt. With Dr. Marcon, told her what happened, she DIDN'T EVEN EXAMINE ME, just told me i'm fine and that's it. This woman is only interested in getting as many Medicare Card swipes in a day as possible !! STAY AWAY, there are faw better Dr.'s out there !!

I have been seeing Dr. Marcon for about 10 years but I moved to Ontario this year so had to find another doctor. Having only ever had Dr. Marcon as my doctor, I didn't have any point of reference, but after my doctor's appointment today, I was shocked at the difference in service and treatment that I got, compared to what Dr. Marcon's office used to offer. I found this site after googling Dr. Marcon to get some info in case I needed to call her office and AGREE with all the negative comments I've read here. I must say that Dr. Marcon could learn a lot about patient care and bedside manner. The nurses and receptionists I met with today were polite, smiling and extremely helpful. The doctor took his time to examine, explain, ask questions, and then he ASKED if I had any questions. NEVER EVER did this happen with Dr. Marcon who always tried to run out the door as fast as possible. One can't help but feel jipped after waiting more than an hour each time, only to see her for 5 minutes.

I doubt that I can stress enough how incredibly rude and unprofessional Marcon's receptionists/staff are. I am always treated rudely both on the phone and at the office and constantly observe others receiving the same treatment. Particularly shocking on my last visit (for an annual check-up and pap smear,) was the giant scene that one of the receptionists created by loudly insulting and making fun of one patient that she was speaking to at the counter. The receptionist had handed the patient a referral form that was only in French. The patient - an older woman - politely asked if the form was available in English as she did not understand French. Rudeness and sarcasm from the receptionist ensued. Everyone in the waiting room was staring. Marcon herself is always running very late, rushes through check-ups and routinely ignores questions and concerns. I was surprised to have waited only 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time this year: I have waited nearly two hours in the past.

When Dr. Marcon came into the room I wanted to show her my results of the 2 tests I had taken that explained my infections but she refused to look at them. She started to examine me but then got a knock on her door saying she had a phone call. She failed to finish the exam since she was in a rush to go answer her call.I had some questions to ask her about my infections but she simply replied “ Everything is fine,I have to go answer a phone call, I will see you next year!”. Firstly I couldn’t understand how she could say everything is fine and be sure a urinary infection was gone without testing a urine sample. I wanted to take the test to make sure that bacteria was gone but she had left the room to take her call while I was asking her about it.I feel that Josie was verbally abusive and Dr. Marcon does not care about the issues and concerns of her patients. No one has a right to treat a patient this way.

I also agree with the comments below about how rude the staff is and how the doctors manners are really unacceptable. I will also complain to the College des médecins about her and other people who feel treated this way should also complain. We should have to put up with someone like this.

I totally agree with the comments about how rude and disrespectfull the receptionnists are. The Dr treat me like a number, showed ZERO empathy and didn't answer a question. Asked me 200$ for an ultrasound and doesn't esplain why it is needed. I felt pressured and treated like a piece of meat. I complained at the College des médecins about her.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. MARCON. The secretary and nurse are rude. I've never waited less than an hour & a half and the appointments don't last more that 3 minutes. Last time after Dr. Marcon quickly examined me she left the room before I had a chance to ask any questions. I waited there thinking she was coming back ,but then the nurse told me to come out. I told her I had questions to ask but the nurse said that the doctor won't see me since she's too busy! I was in the middle of an appointment...she only saw me for 3.5 minutes!!! When I asked the nurse what they were testing me for she just replied "everything", I later found out that I was being tested for 4 things. She didn't even have the courtesy to give me 10 seconds of her time to tell me what they were testing for. All they care about is taking your money and going on to the next patient! It is very frustrating with them! I am looking for a new doctor.

Wow! I can't believe all the negative feedback.I have been seeing Marcon for 16 years now and have always been very satisfied with the service that she and her staff provide. I have had to wait for an excessive amount of time on a couple of occasions but on the whole I can recommend her to anyone.

indeed her staff is one of the worst I have ever seen. Very unpleasant and getting an appointment is harder than catually speaking to the POPE....and should you not visit this doctor in a year, you need to get a referral to see her, because apparently they no longer keep your records....DISGUSTING!

The secreataries are horrible. They barely look up from whatever they're doing. Treat me like dirt. The lady who does the blood pressue and takes payments for tests is really not pleasant; she seems to hate her job. The doctor is very sweet, smiles all the time but I question her knowledge and do not really trust her. I am looking for another GYNE.

Dr. Marcon is simply among the very best doctors. She is thorough, cautious, and extremely knowledgeable. Sometimes the wait can be long, but well worth the wait (earlier appointments are better). She is also highly respected in the medical community and is connected to the highest quality doctors, so IF you need a referral, she will send you the most outstanding specialists in Montreal.

Well, I was a little surprised by the negative ratings Dr. Marcon received. She's been my gyno for about 6-7 years. Fortunately I haven't had any very serious health problems, but she has always treated me politely and answered any questions I have had. Yes she is in a hurry, but it is up to you to have your questions prepared and to stay put until you get the answers you need. I've never found her cold or uncaring and her staff is fine as far as I can see. Yes, they are all extremely busy, but they've never been rude to me. If they seem abrupt, its because they are overworked, I'm sure....and haven't we all been there sometimes? If you don't want to pay for the in-office ultrasound don't - go to the hospital or clsc. You'll wait there too - both to get an appt and on the day of. I do recommend Dr. Marcon - she has helped me a lot with the problems I have had.

i have been a patient of dr. marcon's for many years. i can not recommend her. she has a lot of patients- and she takes new patients every day. she is never ever on time. you can wait 3 hrs sometimes to see her. her staff- the rudest i have ever seen,,continually push the new expensive pap test. its all about the money - the "clic clic" of the medicare card. i was contacted for an abnormal pap result, requested an appointment to find out what was wrong, waited 3 hours, only to be told marcon that she wasn"t able to get enough cells for my pap test and i will have to return in the new year for another one. 3 hours people!! for a 5 minite appointment. i am looking for a new gyno.

She helped me with one problem. Ever since then it seems all I do is pay $$$. The staff is rude and records are not accurate. They told me I did not take certain tests when I did, the staff told me I was wrong and confused until I got proof from my insurance company. She is friendly, but it seems its only about the money lately.

I have been a patient of Dr. Marcon's for about 4 years. Yes you wait. The staff calls back quite efficiently and gives appointments within the sames week or two. We are in Quebec we lack Gyno's have you thought this is why she is so busy. I have had problems and have had the proper follow up accordingly. As for the pap test, I am still using the old one and have paid no money and go through the hospital for ultrasounds etc.. I think patients are expecting private care under a public healthcare system. We have many private clinics available just go there and your insurance will pay. If you can find another DR. go ahead they will not take you if you are not pregnant how are they different? Dr. Marcon works with a university hospital she is always being updated as it is a teaching hospital. I think people with negative feed back should look at what are their expectations of this Dr. and bring them down a few notches. Welcome to your world.

When I booked my last appointment I was asked if it was routine or for a problem. I stated that it was for a particular problem. When I showed up for the app't the receptionist said "So, this is for a routine exam?" THen the nurse said "So, this is just routine?". When I saw the doctor she didn't take a medical history and physically pushed me down on the examining table when I tried to tell her I had a particular problem. Examined my breasts through 2 layers of clothing. Had several years earlier tried to treat me for "menopause" when my symptoms were those of hormonal excess rather than deficiency. When I told her that I wasn't happy with the way she treated me, she "punished" me by sending me my abnormal Pap smear result in the mail and not arranging the proper follow-up.

She is no nonsense, but I have found her to be very helpful and was more than willing to address my questions with careful explanations and information. The wait is typical for any specialist. I am very satisfied with this doctor as a matter of fact her diligence led to an early diagnosis of cancer in my mother in law which was susequently completely cured. There were barely symptoms but she insisted on testing further just in case. We are thankful!

She's the most aggravating doctor out there! You wait hours in the waiting room to then have her rush in and out. I tried asking questions before she does anything, but she's not very cooperative and starts doing her thing anyways. For over 1 year now I have spotting, she keeps making me do the paps test you pay for to then have a rude and useless secretary call me to say to meet again with Dr. Marcon, to then be told, it's most probably stress and to come back in 4 months for another paps test! She's horrible. I'm trying to find another gynecologist, but it's hard to find one that still takes new patients. I know Dr. Marcon does cause she only cares about the clic clic of his medicare card passing through the machine! Really not recommended... and yes, her staff (secretary, receptionist, nurse) treat you like dirt... and so hard to get through by phone to make an appoitment... fustrating!

Can't tell if she is knowledgable or not because she never spends enough time with you to discuss your situation thoroughly. It's NEXT.....patient asap. I agree about her staff treating you like cattle and disturbing them. Doesn't seem to be open to new venus or practices. Don't know how updated she is either. Not a pleasant experience.

I found her very helpful and nice. Yes there was a wait but what gynecologist do you go to where there isn't a wait. And yes she was fast but she got to the point and answered every question that I asked.Plus now a days most Doctor's have so many patients that they need to be quick to get everyone in. I found the receptionists very nice also. People should watch what they say about Dr's on these pages.I read the reviews about this Doctor and it made me feel unnecessarily nervous.Dr's aren't there to be your friend and chit-chat with you they are there to fix the problems that you have. If a doctor did that then stop complaining and focus on the things that they DID do!!!!! Instead of what they didn't.

I have never seen such a rude staff ever. Those secretaries / nurses are just awful. They treat you more like a piece of cattle than like an actual woman...which is slightly problematic for a doctor's office, let alone a gyneo. But I'm keeping the worse bit for the end: when the secretaries call other patients over the phone to give them test results, they clearly state patients' names and explain their various problems, infections, etc. in front of everyone waiting in the room for their appointment. Patient privacy? Never heard of it.

The worst punctuality for any doctor. I always ask for the first appointment of the day and still wait for over an hour. That makes me think she always comes late without bothering for patients' time (most of them working just like her). Always in a rush. Otherwise simling and sweet. Not open to alternatives (I asked about bio-identical hormones, she does not even want to discuss the matter). Staff very arrogant and disrespectful (you wait in front of them an eternity before theey "notice" you. When you call the box is frequently full and if not they call back days later (if ever. Find another one if you can

The last time I saw her, I was 5 weeks pregnant and spotting. The nurse suggested an ultrasound and charged me $125 cash only. When Dr. Marcon did the ultrasound, she told me that, as expected being only 5 weeks into the pregnancy, the ultrasound didn't reveal anything and to return in a few weeks for a second one! She was out the door before I had time to ask any questions about the pregnancy, diet/vitamin information, sports, etc. even though she told me we would talk after I got dressed. I finally told the secretaries I had questions about whether I could still play hockey and when I should stop vigourous sports, so I needed to sit down with the doctor. They decided to yell out to the nurse in the open waiting room - who responded...without visiting me...that I could continue any sport I was involved in (DID SHE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION MY SPOTTING???). I left her office in tears, not a good experience for the 1st appointment of my 1st pregnancy. I switched doctor immediately.

Almost made the mistake to see her but luckily, her secretary put me on hold for over 45 mins when I called in for an appointment, while I waited patiently on the phone, I discovered Rate Your MD and punched in her name and "voila!" I hung up!!!! Thanks to all your negative comments, I was saved the trouble (oh, and thank you secretary for being so competant by leaving a patient on the line like that!)

The first time I went to see her, I was put off - I felt that she had her hand on the door knob and I was not able to ask the questions I wanted before the door slammed. The second time though, I figured it out, and I asked all my questions BEFORE I allowed her to even touch me. This seemed to work out well. I find that she is knowledgeable, if you know how she operates. Yes she is no-nonsense and fast, but ask your questions before and there should be no problems. Moreover, I never waited more than 30 minutes, which I find is normal in any doctor's office, and lastly, I've called them two times when I had some annoying infection and the receptionist gave me next day appointments.

I had negative experiences with both the reception staff and Dr Marcon herself. The staff in this office are not knowledgeable: I called and asked specifically if Dr Marcon could insert a Mirena IUD, and was told that she could. I arrived for my appointment to discover that (1) she does not do Mirena insertions and (2) she does not recommend them for women who have not had children (many, if not most, gynecologists and family physicians do). I resolved not to return, but I was called back in when my pap smear results were abnormal. I was worried, obviously, but Dr Marcon's only response to my question was to reassure me that I could 'still have babies.' This was not the information I was looking for; I wanted to know what specifically what could be wrong. I would not recommend this gynecologist.

I ended up waiting close to five hours before seeing her, and although I had issues I'd wished to discuss with her, it was a little offputting trying to speak sitting naked on a table with her obviously wanting to leave, her hand on the doorknob and the door partly opened. The message couldn't be clearer - I was a number and she couldn't care less.

I could not agree more with the other Women who stated that the wait time was ridiculous. I have never had to wait so long in my life.. Come prepared.. bring a book,music.. do your taxes ( you will have the time - trust me!) I have to prepare myself mentally before walking in there. The actual appointment will last 10-15 mins but you will wait 1-2 hours before seeing her.. How is that even possible?? On a good note.. she has always been friendly and always there to answer the questions I had.

I have never waited so long in a doctor's waiting room - close to 3 hours, very frustrating. I'm a busy person too, I have a career, my time is just as important as hers'. Why doesn't she have her assistant call patients when she knows the doctor is going to be that late? I am asking around to find another gyno, maybe I'll find one from this Website.

Talk about being processed like a herd of cattle! Never felt so rushed in my life in a dr office. Have seen her for TWO big issues and regular paps. Regular paps....no problem...but have your questions for her before she disappears through that door! If you have an issue though - Watch Out! Had back-to-back yeast infections and was only "tested" for something OTHER than yeast infection after 3 months!!!! Also went to her for severe pain...she did an u/s in her office and just kept saying how she was so "up" on all the u/s techniques...and that it was just a cyst that ruptured and to take Advil every day for a month. WELL....that cyst ended up being pregnacy related (which I told her I might be) and that medication could have been dangerous for the baby! Beware!

This doctor was polite and all, but I found her somewhat arrogant and condescending. I realize that hardly ANY gynecologist takes younger women seriously, but I simply don't want to deal with passive aggressive or snarky remarks about things such as my choice of birth control method. This doctor IS taking patients though, so that's why I chose her. I don't like being insulted when I go to the doctor. I have arrived at least 15-20 minutes early every time I have been to this doctor and have had to wait at least an hour past my scheduled appointment time.

She was great. Offered me tons of suggestions for birth control, including the ring and patch. No depo because the studies show it's harmful. The STD tests are private, so if you don't have insurance or enough money to pay, she sends you to the clsc. Overall, a great gyno.

Not very helpful my first time seeing a Gyne. I asked for Depo (contraceptive) and she suggested that I get that presciption from CLSC as she didn't want me going to her clinic every 3 months for injections. She didn't present other choices to me other than Alesse. I would have liked to know what other options I had for the Pill. It's like an assembly line or examination rooms where she goes into eat, does her PAP smear and leaves to the next room. She's never on time and is usually at least an hour late for her appointments. Not helpful in STD testing, no referral, just told me to call the hospital's Infectious Disease Department. I bare the annual visits as she's the only female Gyne I've found taking patients.
