I saw Dr. Safayan for help with constant headaches & migraines. Having lived with the awful side effects of the Zomig prescription that I took for ten years, it was wonderful to find that acupuncture is a good avenue of treatment. I felt that Dr. Safayan would be an expert because he teaches acupuncture. The relief that I experienced following his treatment can only be described as pure bliss and totally headache-free. I plan to go in for follow-up treatments. This is so much better than constantly taking pills. The bonus is that Dr. Safayan actually takes the time to try and discover what is causing the headaches. Highly recommended!

EXCELLENT doctor! Takes all the time needed to explain things, makes it clear that we are partners in my care, gave me solid education about my problem and options, didn't make me feel stupid and really listened to my opinion. Never tried acupuncture, but would with him!

When I first met Dr Safayan, he was kind and professional and provided great referrals (pre-existing condition). But after I cancelled an appt inside of the "24 hour grace period"(they charge $75.00), he became very rude and almost robotic in his behavior. I spoke to him regarding his unprofessional bedside manner but his demeanor did not change (it seemed to annoy him actually). I think he's a very knowledgeable doctor and always provided great referrals however, I could not stay with a Doctor who doesn't respect me as a patient when I'm paying him. It's too bad because I'm pretty loyal with Doctors when I find one who's knowledgable.

My husband and I were with dr safayan for a short while before I became incredibly frustrated with Dr. Safayan over some simple, non-health-related logistics. I was so frustrated/annoyed that I started looking for another dr...until Dr. S effectively saved my husband's life. My husband has always had low iron. Dr Safayan was the first dr to ever say, "let's find out WHY you have low iron." in addition to confirming his suspected diagnosis of celiac, a large polyp was discovered. My husband was in his early 30's so it wld have gone undetected until it was a problem. I’m surprised to hear others say he’s a money-making machine. On the contrary, Dr S usually spends 20-30 minutes with each of us (more as necessary), never rushes us, and always asks for a complete health picture. We’ve found him to be far more thorough than any other doctors we’ve known and that includes some top-notch “Gucci doctors”.

Worst doctor I have ever had. His office was obviously just a money-making machine, he sold me vitamins at an insane markup after making me feel I HAD to buy them from him. I told him a few concerns I had and he simply wrote me out referrals without even bothering to take a look himself. I left the office feeling miserable. I do not know if he is any good as an acupuncturist, but for a general practitioner he is the worst I have ever had.

A little too interested in making money for my tastes, with some questionable offices policies. Knowledge base for alternative treatments not as stong as I would have hoped. Given that NIHA is in town, one could do better
I came in for acupuncture, although he does internal medicine also. Very helpful, very knowledgable and friendly, highly recommend. They also have naturopathy, massage and hypnotherapy, nice office!
