:( Click to report rating *  7/31/09 4 1 1 I wish I knew about this website before making my appointment. Like so many others, my first complaint is the amount of time waiting for your appointment. Even once inside the patient room, you still wait another 10-15 minutes. When Dr. Trusky entered the room, she did not greet me or make any eye contact. She asked why I was there and I told her (sun damage on my face). She looked at my face for literally 10 seconds and said I had melasma. Gave me one sentence about it, and then said I need a microdermabrasion treatment. Again, no information about what that was, just said it will help the melasma. The microdermabrasion lady actually gave me more information than the doctor. The microdermabrasionist also said I had milial cysts around my eyes. The following week when I went for my follow-up appt., I had told the dr. what the lady said. At that point, she should have explained what the cysts are, but again, no information. Will be switching doctors!!!

:) Click to report rating *  6/16/09 5 4 5 Dr. Trusky is a wonderful doctor, and is extremely skilled, thorough and knowledgeable. I've never met someone who was able to quickly make a diagnosis and prescribe the proper treatment. I would say to the people here who rated her poorly to remember that she is the ONLY doctor working in a large office. So you had to wait for 30-40 minutes? That's because she has tons of patients, and is always super busy, because she is the best. If you don't want to wait, go to the second or third best; I'm sure you will be seen immediately. But if you want to see the best dermatologist in Monmouth County, then see Dr. Trusky.

:( Click to report rating *  5/15/09 1 1 1 I have never received more abrupt service from a medical professional. Dr. Trusky determined that I had Rosecea and prescribed Metrogel, a wash and lotion. I walked out of the office with $70 worth of product I can not afford, without even submitting the $50 Rx. I called to see if they would take back the unused product and explained that it felt like not buying it was not an option. The support staff refused and was well…. not so supportive. They even refused to tell me who I could contact to submit a complaint.

:( Click to report rating *  11/17/08 3 1 1 I could not imagine an "Educated Doctor" being more incompetent. She has tried to prescribe me 9 different things in 3 visits. She will not respond to a single question, instead she just ignores me and pulls out her prescription pad. I made the mistake of trusting her after the first unpleasant visit, and wasted over $120 on rosacea treatment, even though I told her I didn't think I even had rosacea. During my first visit, we discussed the sun spot on my nose. During the second visit she asked me " do you want me to zap that pimple on your nose for you?" I replied, no doctor, we concluded that it was a sunspot. She looked at it again and said "oh yeah, we need to remove it" I again made the mistake of trusting her, and I now have a giant oversized crater on my nose that is literally 10 times the size of the initial sunspot.I wish there was more room to write, but the bottom line is she is rude, nasty, and completely incompetent.I'm worse off than before I went to her.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

:) Click to report rating *  10/8/08 4 4 4 I must admit, when I first saw Dr Trusky approx 3 years ago, my opinion of her was the exact same as others on this site. She was cold as ice, made me wait 30 minutes, barely acknowledged I was even there, and I felt like she hated me (even though I had never met her). I saw her the other day - WHAT A CHANGE! I only waited 15 minutes, she came in smiling, I had a good discussion with her and she spent a good 20 minutes with me! She actually listened to me and was very congenial. I think it was a different person! I only saw her because I could not get another appt with any dermatologits before a month and I got her within a week. Would I go to see her again? Definitely - she IS knowledgeable, you can get an appt with her and I actually enjoyed my talk with her. Unbelieveable change!

:( Click to report rating    6/6/08 4 1 1 I read the patient reviews after I went to see dr trusky .I waited 45 minutes for her (unacceptable) She was in and out in 5 minutes. I don't know how to take her. Will probably give her a second chance but will definitely speak up if I am waiting after 20 minutes

:| Click to report rating    2/27/08 3 1 1 Like all the other posts ont his board Dr. Trusky is evil. She does talk down to you and she will not make eye contact...she will not even say hello when she walks in. In fact I have heard this form numerous friends who have went to her over the years. One friend reported she hurt her and it looked like the Dr. enjoyed it...she is good at what she does...but very strange woman. i don't recommend if you are the sensitive type.

:( Click to report rating    2/13/08 5 1 2 I was new patient to office, dr walked in after about 45 minutes, didnt introduce herself, barely even spoke, didnt explain anything and briefly answered my questions as she walked out of exam room and walked down the hall and stated I should schedule follow up appointment in 4 weeks. I said to receptionist I would call to schedule appointment, but that will never happen. I have no insurance and pay out of pocket and I deserve better treatment than that. I will spend my money elsewhere, im sure another doctor will take my money and treat me with a little compassion and i wont mind waiting 3 months for an appointment. Stay away from this cold human being!

:( Click to report rating    10/8/07 1 1 1 Dr. Trusky not only made me wait over an hour for a 5 min visit, she was rude and did not directly answer the questions I was asking of her. She seemed distracted as if I was a burden. I was on my lunch hour and my time is just as impt as hers but there was no sense of urgency in seeing me. No one from her staff even came in the room to update me on when she could see me. I finally had to open the door and walk to the reception desk to find out if she forgot about me in there. Needless to say, I will not be seeing her again. Very disappointed.

:| Click to report rating    9/30/07 2 1 3 Dr. Trusky is knowledgeable but lacks people skills. When dealing with adult acne, she rid me of my problem by giving me medicine that achieve my goal. I went to her religiously once a month for two years. I was afraid of her but knew my skin problems were being remedied. I have recommended her three times to my friends. One she made cry and the other waited an hour and a half never to return. Don't underestimate her as a medical professional....she will get the job done but expect robotic care.

:| Click to report rating    7/20/07 4 3 2 The most miserable human being you will ever meet period. Manners, common courtesy to explain potential side effects are non-existent. If you choose to visit with her just be prepared to be spoken to as if you just ran over her cat.

:( Click to report rating    7/18/07 5 2 2 I came into the office for a mole check. I ended up waiting for an hour and then when i finally got into the room she spent more time looking in the mirror than she did the mole. When she decided that she was going to remove it she walked out of the room and didnt return until one of the staff went to get her. When she returned she told me that should would do it next week and that she didnt have time. So i scheduled with accredited dermatology instead.

:( Click to report rating    7/11/07 1 1 1 She has no personality. Does not speak to you or look at you. Had to wait over an hour and then she was in and out in 5 min. Fortunately it was only a rash. I will try to find another derm who will take my insurance.

:) Click to report rating    3/10/07 4 5 I have been going to Dr. Trusky for a long time. Recently I was in for a rash and she pointed out that I had what appeared to be a small skin cancer on my nose. She suggested removal and biopsy which I agreed to. The lab report confirmed her diagnosis and I am very grateful to be rid of this problem. She is the best and I recommend her to anyone in need of a dermatologist.

:( Click to report rating    10/7/06 1 2 Went to have a mole checked and she didnt even address it, she looked somewhere else. She is unfriendly, doesnt address you or even look at you. She seemed to be elsewhere and not interested in my issues or questions. I was told about her from others but went there anyway as she took my insurance. In the future I will pay out of pocket and go elsewhere. Stay away from this office.

:) Click to report rating    8/21/06 5 5 I have been a loyal patience of Dr. Trusky's for 25 years on a regular appointment basis, despite a 50 mile round trip through all kinds of weather. She has successfully guided me in adult acne management to the point where no one could have guessed I had a skin problem. She now provides me with excellent rosacea care and anti-aging strategies as my skin needs have evolved. This has resulted in frequent compliments from others regarding the quality of my skin. She has always very patiently answered my every question, alleviated my concerns, and has gotten me through every skin crisis, resulting in physical and pyschological improvement. She is, by far, the best dermatologist around, due to her protocols for acne, superior medical expertise, and gentle manner.

:) Click to report rating    8/17/06 5 5 I would not have the opportunity to write this message, had it not been for Dr. Trusky who saved my life. My back is covered with numerous, unusual moles of different shapes, colors, and sizes. She was always wight on target in selecting the many suspious ones for biopsy. She found the important one - the melanoma. Thanks to her intervention and follow up I was spared the spreading of this cancer. I had the melanoma removed by a plastic surgeon and today I am fine. Had I not had Dr. Trusky as my dermatologist I might not be writing this note of cofidence in an "Excellent Medical Doctor".

:)      8/16/06 5 5 Since 1981 my family and I have been treated by Dr. Trusky. Last visit was because of spots on my neck. She looked around the affected area, and she asked me if I was in good health and if anything else was bothering me. I indicated, with the exception of the spots, I was feeing fine. She told me it was "Tinea Versicolar," and gave me prescription, the doctor asked me about my family and if that would be all, in a couple of weeks I would be fine. She is knowlegable and precise. If you need a good dermatologist I firmly recommend Dr. Trusky. If you have boyfriend problems, go see someone else. When she is not at her office, she is at medical conventions or doing voluteer work. I believe Riverview hospital is one of them. Thank you doctor and keep up the good work.

:) Click to report rating    8/16/06 4 5 DR. Trusky is extremely helpful. She has been in practice for 20+ years. She is a true pioneer. I am really suprised to read some of the negative comments below. They must be from people who have some sort of chip on their shoulder.

:( Click to report rating    4/27/06 1 1 Dr. Trusky is more than rude, she is incompetent. She should not be dealing with the general public. It's unfortunate her partner Dr. Lewis is unable to provide us with the outstanding care he provided in the past. My husband & I now go to Dr. Grossman of Little Silver, who is not only an outstanding doctor, but takes the time to be diligent, professional, kind, unlike Dr. Trusky.

:) Click to report rating    4/19/06 4 5 interesting feedback. i don't go to a doctor to have a great time. i never noticed dr. trusky being unfriendly, but i have been impressed by her competence, and i definitely get the feeling that she is INTERESTED in whatever my problems are. if you want to make friends, go to club med. if you're sick, then dr. trusky is perfect.

:( Click to report rating    1/19/06 1 1 I find Dr. Trusky to be a very arrogant woman. If I am going to pay someone for their professional services, I want professionalism at 100%. There are many other doctors that have all the above of knowledge, and helpfulness without being rude, and you don't have to wait an hour or better in her waiting room..
