:| Click to report rating    6/8/09 1 1 2 I used to go to Dr. Jackson and I switched because he is horrible! He left me in the hospital for days without calling or visiting to see my progress. He gave me so much prenisone over a years time, I gained 100 lbs and my asthma worsened. He also dismissed a friend of mine with asthma and she died of lung cancer 2 years later without smoking a day in her life. He has no bedside manner and you do not feel like he even really cares at all. If you go to him, please switch to someone better!!! Why mess with your health.

:( Click to report rating    6/28/08 1 1 1 Both my wife and I used Dr.Jerkson he treated my wife for depression, changing her medication every vist. Finally put her on Prozac. Thats when our life took a turn for the worse. My wifes symtoms started to show extreme signs of bipolar disorder. One good thing that came out of it they were so extreame that my wife could see it for herself. So we both visted DR. J. along with him and his nurse practitionare who seem to be the only one who knew what was going on. Anyway he ask my wife what seems to be the problem and she said in a nut shell my husband and I think I am not just depressed by bipolar. His responce was so do I and I sould of never of put you on the Prozac. We both asked why and he happily said because in some case Prozac can bring bipolar symtoms to the surface. It got worse from there. Please if Dr Jackson is you doc. RUN don't walk... exspecially if you are being treated for depression. OH and yes talk alot aboht the plaine and the car....

:) Click to report rating    5/24/08 5 4 5 I am back to rate Dr Jackson again. This time to say that his office staff has greatly improved recently. The receptionist is new, male and very good, patient and thorough. He has been a great help with prescriptions and records. I once said that a terrible staff would be his downfall. This new staff is an asset. My waiting time was also quicker than usual. When I called for my appt. the new receptionist guided me to a day when the waiting times would be quickest....no one ever did that there before. Also, Dr. J's new associate, Dr. Berkowitz is an excellent, caring doctor. Good going at Dr. Jackson's this time.

:) Click to report rating    4/1/08 3 2 3 Dr. J used to be a great doctor. Always a little rushed but an excellent diagnostician. Yes, he definitely says inappropriate things, and needs to keep the pharmaceutical industry out of his practice. They bring hot lunches in while you are in the waiting room to see him. You may have to wait until lunch is over. BUT he diagnosed my father with lung cancer immediately when another misdiagnosed him. He put together a great team of doctors, and was very supportive about how to handle things - my father was terminally ill. He was available at any time of night or day - he gave me his cell #. Although he knew his patient was dying, he didn't give up on him and was there for us. My brother and I will always be grateful to him for his help. Could he use a class on manners? Yes. Did I hate seeing pharmaceutical salesmen in there all the time, yes. But when I was really sick, I got the right diagnosis and the right treatment. He does not overprescribe medication in my experience.

:( Click to report rating    3/14/08 4 1 1 I loved this doctor when he first came to the area. Then he started bringing sales reps into consultations and spending too much time on the phone, talking about flying when is waiting room was packed to the gills. The worst had to be referring my boss to him. She is European and somewhat reserved. She went to see him on my recommendation and he brought a pharmaceutical rep (a another male nonetheless) into the room and asked to her to talk about what was wrong. She was shocked, but trusted him and told him that she had a urinary tract infection. Without blinking he looked at the rep and asked, "You've got something for that, don't you?" She was horrified. Fortunately she didn't hold it against me, but I never went back to him after that. That was 10 years ago, but I know people that still go to him and they claim that he is just getting worse. 1-2 hour wait times while he jokes/flirts with the sales rep or BS's on the phone. It's really too bad. I liked him a lot.

:) Click to report rating    12/30/07 2 3 5 An office staff that is uncaring and unresponsive to their patient's needs will be a downfall to a good doctor. This is the case here. The staff always seems annoyed at requests for assistance in needing medical records or mail order prescriptions. Requests for faxed medical records or prescriptions can never be relied on to be completed promptly or at all.

:) Click to report rating    3/28/07 3 5 I have being going to Dr. Jackson for 8 years. He is usually running 1/2 hr to 45 minutes late, but what doctor isn't now a days? He office staff is the best! So many other doctors I have been to have the MOST RUDE staff, not at Dr. Jackson's they are always willing to help and go the extra mile to get a quick turnaround on a referral. Susie and Nicol are my favorites! His knowledge is average for a primary care doctor, but if you want a specialist, no problem! He doesn't quarrel with you about it at all. Also, he eliminates EVERYTHING. You may go in with chest pain which may be because you have an extended cough, to be on the safe side he will reschedule you for all sorts of other tests to 100% ensure that there is no other issue. Some hate that, I love it! It gives me peace of mind. I would certainly recommend Dr. Jackson.

:( Click to report rating    11/4/06 1 2 I have been a patient since 1998. Each office visit is becoming more stressful. I wait at least 1 hour after my scheduled appt. to see him. One time he actually brought a drug saleswoman into my office visit and told her about my blood pressure. He usually sends in a nurse practitioner to my office visit in place of him, which I think is terrible. I have difficulty in getting the office staff to help with my mail order pharmacy. I take 7 maintenance medications. I think drug salesmen are more important than the patients. Office staff is not friendly or comforting. I am very disappointed and plan to find another doctor.

:( Click to report rating    8/18/06 4 1 He was once my regular doctor. Very impatient doctor who said very inappropriate things about other patients and their conditions. He also has this annoying habit of talking into his tape recorder about the patient's condition as he is transitioning between patients. Everyone can hear what he is saying about the patient he just saw. He is an arrogant and obnoxious man and should be digging ditches, not healing people. Stay away!
